Well, I often find myself forgetting a lot of the characters I read about in books. However, I will never forget the boxcar children. I would love to take an older version of Benny to prom. I think he would make prom a fun experience with his silliness and how talkative he is. My other prom option would definately be Ned (Nancy Drew’s friend/boyfriend)! To start, he is handsome and smart; in addition he has a love for athletics and the outdoors. Ned has a great personality, I think he’d be the kind of guy that could make any situation, prom or anything else, a really fun time.

For a fictional prom date, I would chose Peeta from the Hunger Games because he is sweet and loyal to the bae. This is based off the book, not his looks in the movie (even though in the movie he was delicious).  He is nice and generous and shows a lot of caring and compassion.

Fictional Date
I would take Harry Potter to prom, simply based on his personality because of the author’s writing, not to appearance of the actor who plays him. He is too short. I would chose Harry because HE IS THE CHOSEN ONE. Let’s face it he has a hot scare in the shape of  LIGHTNING BOLT, that is sweet.
Harry truly cares about everyone and has a unique perspective on the world, which would give us something to talk about. He is not much of a player even though a lot of the girls obsess over him, at least it doesn’t go to his head. Also I want to know about the wizard world and fly on a broom stick. That’s it, it is settled I’m taking Harry Potter to prom.

Who Would I Take To Prom? (Book Character Version)
Flashing back to my childhood, I used to love A Cinderella Story. You can guess what the story line is: Hilary Duff as Sam is forced to live with her horribly selfish and orange stepmother with two ugly step-sisters in jumpsuits, as well as deal with the difficulty of losing her father, who is her best friend. Dreaming to one day be able to go to Princeton University, she ends up working at her father’s old diner and keeps her dreams up with her internet pen pal, Nomad.
Much of the story is based on the fact that Sam and “Nomad’s” interactions aren’t face to face but through messages, making him a sort of sweet talker. In the end, Sam is shocked to find her love “Nomad” to be none other but the popular football star, Austin Ames. Sam is the only one to find out Austin really doesn’t like the popular title and he just wants to be a writer. Despite what everyone thinks about Austin and Diner Girl dating, Austin proves to through all opinions to the side and just be him.
I truly would want to take Austin Ames to Prom because he is such an honesty man with integrity that I hope to find in a man one day. I like Austin’s hair, looks, and athleticism, but mostly, I love his heart. Now, I know he is only fictional but I do see how realistic he can also be because he really is just an average honest boy. I would love to dance with him as I know my slow dance would be more romantic and reciprocated than most of the “holding hands with friends” dances, that I love, but would really like to outgrow.
Also, who wouldn’t want to look like Cinderella and dance with Prince Charming under candle-lit gazebo with violins playing Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be” in the background. Who needs the crowd of people when I know Prince Charming has special plans for us anyways!

If I could choose a fictional character to be my prom date, I would choose Howard Roark. I think that it would be great for me to sit down with Mr. Roark and ask him all of the questions that I've always wanted to ask him. I find him very interesting because of the way he acts. He has great love for what he does and refuses to do things based on what others believe or think. For him his career is his religion and he devotes his life to it. Hanging out with Howard would be wonderful!

The character that I would take with me to prom would be BMO from Adventure Time, as BMO is very funny and would be an awesome companion to take. BMO would be able to entertain me and my friends, take pictures throughout the night, and is just as weird as I am.

The fictional character I would love to take to prom is Hazel Grace Lancaster from The Fault In Our Stars. I'd probably have to ask her more than once, seeing as she'd initially turn me away, but that's okay. You see, Hazel Grace is dying, and that has made her wise beyond her years, but it has also shut her out from the rest of the world. While she may think I'd be asking her out of pity, seeing as she's the girl that always carries around an oxygen tank, she'd actually be downgrading big time by going with me. She's thoughtful and funny and so above me, and spending just one night with her would make me reevaluate everything and make me a better person. She's the ultimate prom date.

If I was going to take a fictional character to prom it would definitely be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I grew up reading these books and she always stuck out to me, she was described as intelligent, kind and funny all at the same time. Those would be perfect attributes for a prom date.

If I had the opportunity to take a fictional character to prom, I would take Tayo. Now, I don't want to take Tayo so I can assimilate him into white culture, I just think the kid really needs a night to have fun. He's had a rough life living on the reservation with not a lot of financial support (so of course I would pay for his ticket) and not a lot of love (I would be his best friend and after prom we would hang out and stuff). I want to be Tayo's friend, so instead of picking a character that I am in love with, I would want to take the character I believe is most deserving of a night out with a bunch of really loud and awkward high school seniors like my fellow AP Lit students. TAYO WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME??? PS This was a great opportunity for a promposal, I'm disappointed in all of you right now.

I'm going to take a different Austen route. Edward Ferras, from Sense and Sensibility would be my prom date. Despite the fact that he's kind of a push over at the beginning of the book, I found his character to be very likable. He's a bit of a dork, to be honest, and he needs a lot of help in standing up for himself, but he isn't greedy or prideful or resentful towards his cruel family for the way they have treated him. He is content with the simplicity, and he seems like the kind of guy who would be a respectable, gentlemanly prom date.

Fictional prom date
If I were to pick a fictional character for a prom date I would have to go with Will Blakelee from the Nicholas Sparks book "The Last Song". He's just a true gentleman and is so polite and nice. He may be seen as a snooty rich boy, but on the inside he is a really down to earth guy who would give 100% of himself to anyone.

If I could pick any fictional character to go to prom with it would most definitely be James from The Program. He seems like the complete package. I haven't seen a out based on the book so I can only base this love for him from the book, but I imagine him being very dreamy and having nice eyes. The way the author writes his character makes him seem so perfect a lovable. I imagine him being the perfect prom date. I think James and I would have a lovely time together.

My Dream Fictional Character Prom Date
I really didn't know who to choose for this because i don't read too much. One book series that I no doubt love is the Divergent series. My prom date would be the main guy Four! There are two movies out on this series and the actor who plays him is GORGEOUS, but that’s not why I love him. He has amazing qualities that girls in reality could only dream of because let’s face it... guys can’t live up to the fictional romancers. Four is brave, smart, caring, and loyal. The perfect package, I know! Everyone would be hating on us at prom and would want to be with him, but he can handle it :).

Mr. Darcy and Westley <3
It comes as no surprise that I would choose Mr Darcy as my prom date, as he is my one true original fictional love. I just recently read The Princess Diaries book, though, and Westley gives Mr. Darcy a run for his money. So I really couldn’t choose between the two and I insist that they both accompany me to prom. These are the two fictional characters that have set my standards way too high. They’re entirely sappy romantic characters too, which makes me want to puke when I think about it too hard, but I can’t help but fall in love with them as they appeal to some inherent place inside me. Both of them are very devoted and loving characters that make you swoon, I hate to say it.
After prom I would also insist that these two men marry me.
Also I imagine Mr. Darcy at prom, who hates dancing, and how funny it would be to get him to do the Cupid Shuffle or some ridiculous dance like that. Also I would want Westley to wear his Dread Pirate Roberts outfit.

Well, since Jim from The Office didn’t count, I would take Peter Pan to Prom. Peter is a sassy ginger who can fly and is insanely charming, all top qualities to look for in a prom date. He loves adventure and would be out on the dance floor, singing songs as loud as he can, and having the time of his live without worrying what other people would think of him. With him around, I would be able to do the same and forget about everyone in the room, making memories that will last a lifetime. Plus, it would be pretty cool to be able to say I got to fly at prom. Who knows, maybe he would be up for taking a group to Neverland. Prom is one of the last things that we get to experience as kids before we graduate and grow up , so why not spend it with someone who will never feel that bittersweet thought on their mind? Prom with Peter would help me forget about the adult decisions I will be making in the very near future, making it easier to focus on enjoying being a kid for one of the last times.
FYI: I still want to take Jim to prom

If I could bring any fictional character to prom, it would probably have to be Margaery Tyrell from the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin.  Not only is she badass and witty, but she also comes from a powerful and rich family so, like Anna was saying, no need to pay for prom tickets.
