Guys hear me out please . The reason their hair is like this (especially after Clay's was straight when younger) is because of Viva! Her tendency to braid people's hair isn't touched on in the movie besides "it means I like you" so here I am with a whiteboard and a fresh expo marker

As someone who has its fair share of anxiety and regular Bad Thoughts, I reach up to my hair all the time to fidget. It's great, I'm native so it's thick and tough, and without even thinking I can twirl or tie it around for HOURS. If I have media playing I can zone out in, I can play with other people's hair for hours as well and I won't feel any ache in my wrists or anything

Vivas hair is more erratic than Clay's, so I figure that after the great Bergen attack, she would ground herself by reaching up and digging her fingers through her hair, stressing it out and fraying it so it no longer stuck up straight like pop troll hair seems inclined to do, and one day after zoning in from perhaps an anxiety attack or calming herself from a bad nightmare, she'd find the handful of hair she had grabbed was braided. Happens to me more often than I could even count, when it's bad my bangs will just end up braided or tied into a weird knot without me consciously doing it. And since braiding hair takes slightly more effort than just pulling or twisting it, she'd start intentionally braiding her hair in sections as a stress reliever and calming method

Of course over time it would become second nature, we can see how fast she braids Poppy and Branchs hair in the movie (Poppy braids hers as well, but Poppy only did a few small sections vs Viva doing their entire head and VERY neatly) so asking people she trusts to braid their hair as both a way to spend time with them and an even better way to help quell her anxiety (I like body doubling so I might just be projecting) and since Clay is absolutely her best friend, whether you think DreamWorks tried to imply romance or not, he would be the most common "victim" of Vivas braiding and so over the course of two decades their hair has just become accustomed to bring braided and so it's wild like this.

so yeah i managed to get myself addicted to rain world while i was umm laying over there on the um floor so hard i took that one bunch of drones i had that i made out of pixel cat's end cats and iteratorified them in fact i own too many iterators now. whoopsie. anyway. here's a bunch for no reason. might genuinely infodump about them later idk man

erratic fracture is just this random fucking iterator sitting in an area that's esentially a goofy temporal anomaly. she has the rot, refuses to acknowledge the fact that that's a bad thing and slaps random innocent wildlife together into bioweapons or whatever because this is one of my AU's and my AU's are not my AU's if there isn't at least one person gluing parts of random living beings together for the heck of it. normalest city sized supercomputer ever overall Purveyor's name and design are entirely a sekaiju reference. because wynaut, because I Can and because sekaiju is also consuming my brain just as hard right now. he's also uhhh designed to have the ability to rapidly construct nearly anything. i meant what i said this fella can literally like what, practically move by rapidly deconstructing and reconstructing his can. so normal innit i feel like this is a good time to mention that both Purveyor and Host are Not Normal Iterators Like At All. theyre goofy silly experiments somewhere underground made by 6 very totally normal (no) ancients and one average iterator that's into that stuff funding them because he was interested dont ask where the hell did they make an underground space thats large enough to fit multiple iterators with questionable ass features. i uhh ummm ancient shenaniganry. y yeah ancient shenaniganry uhh umm uhhmhmhmhmhff i don't know either they just did. anyway back to purveyor he's also like literally not conscious most of the time. basically the sillies also gave the guy like absolutely ridiculous processing capabilities, decided they don't want him potentially using that against their asses and just went "hmm clearly the most optimal choice is to have 99,3% of that only start existing whenever someone nearby is talking about construction". so.. yuup. that. yeah. as a result of this he also has this like random scug modified beyond recognition maintenancing his can. because yeah uh you absolutely cannot leave that whole thing in the hands of someone who has no thoughs going through their head most of the time. stubborn host was initially supposed to be a sort of goofy silly living weapon capable of throwing rot onto other iterators. None of which ended up working out. not only did she immediately refuse to cooperate with the goobers, she needed to get the rot from somewhere to bomb people with it in the first place, the 6 decided it's a very good idea to just throw it into her but like attempt to contain it in a dedicated room or something so she doesn't get fucked over by it, that did not work out and she's basically in the same situation as any other rot haver out there. whoops overall. also yes this is an iterator edition of 066. because wynaut.
