It's my birthday 💖 life update it's kind of long because I've been going THROUGH IT and need to vent.

I thought by now I'd be moving in to my new apartment and starting my new job but I had a mental breakdown and that was over long story but last year a friend from San Diego asked me to move in with her, then her friend from Ohio wanted to leave Ohio and live in California so my friend asked HER to move in and told me we can live together some other time...so basically ditched me. Then in July her friend thought "hey we should get another roommate" so my friend asked me to live with her AGAIN but the friend from Ohio wanted all this stuff from the apartment like walkability and public transportation (I tried explaining California to her and she wouldnt fucking listen she thinks this is Amsterdam or some shit) and we were looking at no pets allowed places and she had two pets but thought "oh it's fine the landlord wont find out." I wanted to secure a job before moving and her friend is really impulsive and wanted to move right away, she made me feel Bad that we had the same amount of savings and she is down to move and live off savings for a while but I wasn't...so anyways we got offered an apartment that they liked but I didnt and they were like "but if we dont say yes to the first place that approves us we will NEVER find a place" so they ditched me and my friend said "maybe we will live together another time" AGAIN. Funny thing is that same day I got an email from another apartment that approved us. I was so angry at how I was treated by my friend and her friend. My friend apologized and acknowledged she did ditch me for her friend because she seemed so much more ready to move and they both didnt want to wait but I was ready. Eventhough I didnt like the apartment, the budget was decided by them not me, i was too scared to say anything if I disagreed because I thought if I showed any hesitation I was Out so all the apartments had stuff her friend wanted but the stuff on my list like parking was "not a deal breaker" as in if it didnt had what I wanted but had what her friend wanted that was fine. My therapist and i talked and we decided her friend had a lot of red flags for a roommate and its probably good I avoided living with them but now I dont have any roommates...same friend is in a group chat with me and two other friends and when I tried organizing a lil brunch date for my bday they all cancelled on me lol which is fine because I ended up with 3 cats and I'm too busy taking care of them to go.

Sooooo after the roommate shit I got covid and after THAT I found a cat in my backyard. I recognize the cat used to like visit lily but now this cat was skinny and it was a heatwave outside so I took her in. I took her to the vet to check for a chip and she wasnt chipped, so I asked about getting her a check up and spayed and they made me an appointment for next week. After a week, her owners saw her flyer and contacted me. So I gave her back to her owners the day before the vet appointment, I told them I made it and gave them the info to go. I found out the cat is named Momo and is two and not fixed, been pregnant twice, and leaves the house for days at a time so the owners didnt even look for her, they just thought she was off getting pregnant again. I was really upset after meeting the owners, I realized they dont care about their animals and I gave momo back to them. I had a really bad feeling they wouldnt take care of her.

Literally the next day my dad went and adopted two kittens. I told him we should wait but he saw one on the shelter website and if he waited the one he wanted would be gone, then he ended up getting her and her sister. Their names are Zoë and Chloe and they're really great kittens. Just after a week and a half of having the kittens, momo's owners contacted me again and said they're moving and asked if I would take momo. They said if I dont, momo is going to the pound. They do not care at all. My parents said that 2 cats are enough but they dont want momo to go to the pound either so they agreed to try.

Well I texted the owners back and they didnt respond with anything like how it was gonna go, like when do I get her when are they moving etc etc. I couldn't sleep I was so worried, then we found momo in our backyard AGAIN. I called the owners and the carelessness. They were like "oh yea she got out again. No we didnt get her fixed that appointment was the same day I was going back to college so i was too busy. Also we think when she got out she got pregnant again." 1) when I met the owners the first time they knew they were moving and they couldn't go to the vet appointment why didnt they say anything I could have taken her then 2) she was so nonchalant about her cat being pregnant a third time like no consideration to this poor cat going through heat then labor then heat then labor then heat then....?!?! I bet they decided to ask me to take her once they noticed she was starting to look pregnant again probably thought "ugh let's just dump this responsibility on someone else"

So I take momo in, seperate her from the other 2 cats, and get an appointment at the vet....AGAINNNNNN. the owner is still contacting me and OFFERS to pay for it. I ask about momo's history like has she ever been vaccinated (no) so she needs to be spayed and vaccinated, and before that tested for anything that can be transmitted to Zoë and Chloe like FIV (since she was outside gone for days at a time....unfixed and not vaccinated) and dewormed as a precaution. All of this will mean anesthesia and fluids and antibiotics and pain meds which I'm not surprised by, I just had two years worth of that with lily before I lost her last year by now im a pro at giving cats medicine.

Well.....the cost was more than the owner expected because it's an extra charge for spaying pregnant cats and she needed additional stuff. I told the owner about the additional stuff before too and she just said okay let me know what your zelle is. I kid you not, yesterday we got it all done and I paid then zelled the owner and the owner was like "this is too much" I explained each thing in detail, I showed the receipt, I even tried compromising that she pay for just the spay and not the other stuff. No reply. The owner just peaced out, probably ghosted me.

The thing is she offered to pay and every treatment we had to do was a result of their negligence, how could you never take your cat to the vet then give the cat to someone else and put all that on a new owner? Even the shelter where we got the kittens gave us a discount on the spay, and a free vet check up and food and toys to help us get started. The vet I took momo listened to my story and felt Bad so they gave us a discount like almost $200 off. I took lily to the vet enough to know what they charged us was actually not that bad (for everything the total was $549 i put $100 down when I dropped her off and paid $449 when i picked her up). To top it off, way back when I found the owners the first time I found out they had another cat, who I dont like because it ruined our screen door trying to break in and attack lily.

Because of how they treat their cats, their cats have so far 1) damaged my property 2) costs me hundreds in vet bills taking care of what they didnt 3) let loose who knows how many kittens momo and the other cat had. And that's just at my house. My lawyer friend was even telling me to call the c*ps and force the owners to pay for the screen and the vet bills but I hate the pigs and know they won't do anything and even if they did i still dont want to escalate it by bringing in Meanies With Guns into my neighborhood...so my parents agreed and told me to just forget about the owners.

I had all these plans for my birthday week but now I'm taking care of momo and two kittens it's very stressful and tbh I'm overwhelmed as fuck. All this accumulated yesterday after the vet with momo I just had a breakdown. Why does everyone treat me like shit when I try to be nice and do the right thing? My friend ditching me for her other friend, then that friend totally bulldozing me when the three of us were looking for apartments, all my friends cancelling on me for my birthday saying "something came up" when I told them over a month in advance, momo's ex owners walking all over me and genuinely being so oblivious to how awful they are to their cats. This is my villain orgin story.

Put our last dog down this morning. Sadie the 12yr older german shepherd. We lost Arya the 11yr old chocolate lab to diabetes and old age last year. Now they both get to go run free with Shadow and Bear, two black lab/husky mixes, Prancer, a german shepherd, Tucker, a big fluffy chocolate lab, and Portia, another german shepherd who passed before she was 1yr old. Not to mention getting to run around with my Papa and Nonny who looooved taking care of all our animals. And the two bearded dragons, many well taken care of fish, 3 hermit crabs, two frogs, a crayfish and possibly even the possum baby Sadie found half dead and looked to me as if to say "do i have permission to put it out of pain?" and when I told her she could, as there wasnt anything anybody could do- i called many places- she did so quickly. and nicely. no ripping to shreds nothing. just respect. Cleo our 3yr old calico cat grew up with Sadie as her mom and Arya her grandmother essentially. She didnt get to go with on either occasion but got to say goodbye before we took them to the vet. When we got home tonight at 2am, she looked around for Sadie. And now she's snuggled in the blanket sadie used to sleep. She knows too, and she even let me pet her and hug her. Something that cat never does for me. So it's another adjustment for all of us. Dad's taken this one pretty hard too cuz Sadie was HIS dog. She preferred him to follow around and do typical weird shepherd stuff to lol.

She got to go for one last walk today and visit all her dog friends she's made over the years and barks to. They all talk, it's great! And funny. And then around 7pm she just started acting wrong. We knew. We tried everything we could. It was time. Freaky tho since it was literally like flipping a switch. But we love her, and she knows that. We never left her side. And now she gets to watch over us silly humans with a huge loving family we'll all get to one day. <3 <3 <3 I miss you Sadie! But I know you're in a better place!! Don't worry about Dad, I'll help him through this. So will Cleo, whether or not he wants her to (he pretends not to like the cat- but he likes her), and Mom too. Even Bandit and Maverick know things have changed. We'll do fine. You were awesome!! Thanks for spending so long with us!!! <3

thank you! yeah, I knew that - this is more a building frustration with how I’ve seen her behave (particularly on twitter) over the last year that seems to prioritize positioning herself as “above” the fandoms she analyzes? I stopped watching her videos a while ago when I suspected she was heavily invested in what I see as “cringe-dodging” - leveraging her experiences in ~embarrassing past interests for content that ultimately serve to delineate herself as, like, more erudite than the audience. Frankly, I find it really dull and tiresome, especially when I’m clicking on yet another thumbnail hoping for an interesting story and it’s riddled with this unnecessary projection from someone whose current interests are just as cringey? (No judgment in that term btw) Anyway, spn absolutely deserves criticism, but even I don’t want to wade into particular discourse until I finish seasons 13 and 14, so for someone who’s created a 105-minute essay on what I can only deduce from prior comments as “buckwild destiel fans making the internet go crazy 🤪” I’m gonna go ahead and say like… I’d rather hear from fans who have a vetted history of empathy and nuance bc I’m not watch a Shrek-length anything for the sake of someone’s ego lol

Sorry for the hiatus btw yall, and im probably still gonna have a little bit of a tumblr hiatus, i could blame it on my cat but honestly im just trying to get out of doomscrolling all day so im trying to get better at not getting stuck on social media sites. Unfortunately im most successful at this if i dont even open them.

Since im back for a second tho ill update yall on my cat, Shadow,

He's had to have surgery earlier this week for urinary problems and seems to be doing okay right now? But this will be ongoing and he's been very expensive. (Im not asking for money on this its just a pain that this has been so expensive) Anyway ive been doting on him since like. October 10th now i think? Hes been pretty much living in my room since the 14th. Surgery was on the 20th. So this has just been stressful as fuck lol. Oh also he had Xrays at one point and we discovered he has been shot before with like an airsoft or bb gun???? In his youth, when he was indoor/outdoor instead of indoor only. And thats just been in there since, they're leaving it alone tho since it doesnt seem to be causing any problems. Im now wondering if thats what it was that time when he came home with 2 holes in his sides that the other vet in MD thought was maybe an animal bite, but wasnt sure. Thats not really relevant to anything happening right now its just kind of a horrifying trivia that was uncovered in the process? And i feel vindicated in my pushing to convert him to an indoor cat. Also angry at whoever did that.

#toy txt post #hello im not dead #littlw more detail but uhh unsanitary tw?>#basically he had maybe a urinary tract infection but then also he had developed crystals in his urine #and there was a partial blockage of the urinary tract. they put a urinary catheter in to flush stuff or smth and that went okay until #he managed to get the cone off and rip the catheter out at the vets before we even picked him up #then he was still blocked off bc the catheter didnt actually flush the blockage out just back in or something???#and it wasnt fully blocked. he was dribbling and leaking urine out this whole time and making a huge mess bc his butt was soaked with it and #then he would lay in the litter pan and track the litter everywhere and it was a nightmare. he kept not eating or drinking.#then the vet suggested to go ahead w the surgery even tho hes old and fat and everyone was worried about that.#and basically it was like. they amputated the penis and maybe made the hole a little bigger? vet described it as altering his plumbing to #make it more female like which will not prevent the crystals from forming but should make it easier to pass them instead of getting blocked #the downside of this is that its possible he may dribble and or leak pee for the rest of his life depending on whether he figures out his #new anatomy and how to hold it etc?#and now hes going back again today to get an injection of antibiotics bc he wont take the pills and thats been a nightmare.#the syringes of liquid pain meds onto his gums? fine. that other smaller pill that started with an o? fine. the antibiotic? nope.#also after the surgery we got a different shredded paper pellet litter that doesnt stick to him as much and track all over the room #mixed feelings about it tho bc i cant scoop the pee out bc it doesnt clump #anyway. thats been shadows medical misadventures so far. its a pain and also stressful. i need to clean the room again this weekend and #put down freah blankets etc

i’ll just try and write the explanation under the cut. its gonna be long af, but i dont wanna leave out any details because i dont want people to take this story the wrong way. (sorry mobile users lol)

TW: animal death.

about a month ago, me and my roommate went and got two baby bearded dragons from a pet store. i was planning on adopting/rescuing an adult one, but we were looking on all the adoption sites, and we calculated that just straight up getting one was cheaper at the time. the particular pet store we went to has a reputation of not taking care of their animals, but it was sort of an impulse trip. (the trip to go get them was impulse, but i have lots of experience with bearded dragons and have been planning on getting one of my own for a while now.)

my roommate got the male, “Spam”, and i got the female, “Vienna”.

we kept them in the same tank for a couple weeks, but we kept an eye on them in case they started showing aggression towards each other. they never did, but we eventually separated them anyway. Spam wasnt eating as well as Vienna, so we fed him separately-- but then Vienna was the one who wasnt eating well, so we tried to feed her separately. Spam got better, but... Vienna didnt.

after a couple days of feeding her through one of my un-used t-shot syringes, one day i burst out crying because i thought she was dying. i called multiple vets, and only one was available asap.

we took her to the emergency vet, and the doctor didnt say we were doing anything wrong in particular. she just said she was in critical condition, and she had less than 50% chance in surviving. she gave us the option of putting her down right then and there, or try to nurse her back to health (which could take weeks). me and katie desperately wanted to help her, so we decided to take her back home with the medical supplies provided by the vet.

this was around the time when i opened up the emergency commissions, because the vet bill was super high. i borrowed money from my brother, and he needed to be paid back asap. for the next couple days, we fed her the prescribed medicine every hour on the hour. we did daily treatments and gave her a ton of TLC.

but,,, when we thought she was finally getting better,,, one day, she slowly passed away in my hands.

i havent felt so much of a failure in a long ass time. i beat myself up for being so stupid as to buy a sickly animal from a pet store which i knew had a bad reputation for carelessly breeding their animals, and i hated the fact that i supported such a corporation. but after a day of sobbing, i came to a conclusion.

the more time i spend mourning over her, the less time i spend saving another family member.

the next day, we held a little funeral with my roommates in our yard. i decorated the box i put her in, and we all had a ceremony in her honor. as soon as we buried her; we all went immediately to get another one.

i didnt talk about any of this publically for a while, and i wasnt planning on doing so, because i know this story story so far can rub some people the wrong way. we absolutely loved and adored Vienna, and we did everything we could to keep her healthy and alive. i mourned and had closure on her behalf, and im still mourning. remember that everyone mourns differently, and i dont want anyone to think i didnt care about her or think im simply replacing her.

now with that out of the way: again-- i wanted to adopt/rescue, and i didnt mind getting an adult. but at this point, we already had a setup for a baby beardie and it was going to be a while before we were able to upgrade. but all the adoption sites didnt have any beardies that were under 1 years old, so i did my research and went to a place where they took wonderful care of their animals.

i asked if there were any older beardies, but the only stock they had were these fresh babies that they just got the day before. i was skeptical on getting one, since i didnt wanna fuck up because baby beardies are super super fragile. but i couldnt leave without one, so we picked one we fell on love with and checked out.

again; i dont want anyone to think that im simply replacing Vienna. but since Vienna lived such a short life, and she came from such a terrible birthplace-- in honor of her struggle, we named this baby after her. thus; this new baby is dubbed “Vienna the II”. i know people are going to think its stupid, but i was already attached to the name and i wanted to try really hard to keep her name and memory alive.

so- in case anyone was wondering why “Vienna” is so much smaller now, and why we call her “the second”-- this is why. keep in mind that every animal we take into our lives; we are 1000% dedicated to keeping for the duration of their lives. they arent just pets, they are family to us. please respect the memory of Vienna the I.

oof, sorry for the sad sob story. if youre wondering why im so inactive online nowadays, its because im having some relapses in depression and im giving as much TLC to my animals as i can at the moment. ill be a little more active soon.

oh yeah i guess heres my longer thoughts on the new jurassic world

people are saying it was better than the first and? i guess? i dont know, i didnt come away particularly impressed. it wasnt worse, but...

it did lose the weird air around all the female characters the first movie had. of course, the selection of female characters isnt anything that amazing. theres a new dino vet character who is pretty good, though she really only lives in the subplots, but thats kind of okay. theres claire dearing who is practically a new character she’s so unrecognizable from the first movie. and theres.... the child

the movie starts to reach for some interesting ideas (jeff goldblum is here to give like 2 talks about the theme) on what the morality of saving genetically engineered animals like this is. and at that start, it does a good job of being actually kind of morally complicated! in the scenario they present, it is a pretty complicated issue with no easy answer. and then it kind of goes away until the last 15 minutes, at which point the characters make a choice, and you think its an interesting choice.... and then it nosedives into ?? and cheesy and “what are the implications of releasing dinosaurs onto MAINLAND USA??? lol find out in the next movie”

someone clearly listened to the critiques about the indomitus rex and so the indoraptor’s design is MUCH cooler. they went for a striking color stripe (ala blue, actually) instead of the color white, which reads much better in dark lighting. but also its very ??? and only shows up in like the third act and has a bunch of little moments of setup with... no payoff.... its also absurdly smart and turns into a horror movie villain for a good 20 minutes

and then, ah, the child. the actress was pretty good and the child isn’t that annoying or anything. i was even pleasantly surprised when it turned out she WASN’T getting dragged onto the island! but theres a plot twist regarding the child in the last third of the movie thats just. its a huge bombshell and has MASSIVE implications but kind of stops mattering after its revealed and its very distracting

also you know how the first movie is kind of worth it for that fucking amazing fight scene with trex and blue vs i-rex? yeah fallen kingdom doesnt... really have that moment. the peak of the movie is the end of the island stuff and the stuff on the boat.

the dinosaurs DO look great though. they move really nice. theres a lot of new dinos, to the point that a number of them feel UNDERused. theres this one scene where they have to get really close to a tranq’d trex thats just wonderful

this sounds very nitpicky and it is, but... its was enjoyable enough! idk if you go in expecting a jurassic park movie, aka cool dinos and some action but a slightly nonsense plot and little thematic payoff, you’ll still probably enjoy it. i remember enjoying the first one more, but your mileage might vary

though he puts up a strong front he is often a kultz and actually really soft??

likes kids too and often swings by the early childhood department to visit minhyun

but let’s face it, animals like him better than the babies do

has a phobia of insects, especially flying ones

hence cant join practical lessons that involves specimen or live insects

his classmates would be kind enough to share with him the notes they took in class, but he would rather fail the topic than look at notes of insects

there was once his friend, ong threw a fake spider whilst daniel was studying and he screamed, pushing off the seemingly 1 ton table and chair away from him

ong was like,,, “are you sure he wants to be a vet next time”

despite his phobia of insects, he will actually grin and bear it when he needs to remove lice from animals

red bull and gummy addict, but more likely to die of shock from insects than diabetes

you will always spot a can of red bull on his lecture desk, and bet 10 bucks it has a love note attached to it from his admirers

fairly popular in school, because a soft, tall and cute guy doing vetinary?? he just screams boyfriend material in that white lab coat

and glasses slipping down his nosebridge just makes him look even more cuter

loves dancing as a hobby so he took it up as his minor

does b-boying and modern dance, looks equally hot in both

when the school hall is filled with girls, it is either some kpop boy band is performing, or daniel and his dance group, wanna one are performing

has so much charisma in his dancing, the idea of “cute daniel” gets thrown away

but a cute bunny most of the time who is addicted to gummies

surprisingly, hasn’t dated a lot as contrast to rumours that he’s a fuckboy

he really hates fucking around with others’ feelings… despite being choding(childish) around his hyungs of wanna one

meanwhile you,, a medicine student trying to keep up with the expectations of society

to be honest, you’re doing well

but not well enough to enter the top hospitals of seoul

and you’re here on scholarship anyway, might as well make use of it to make your parents proud

you’re your parents’ only child too, the pressure to do well is also quite high

you barely dated, the only time was in high school where you were a foolish teenager dating your best friend

you did have classmates confessing to you though, but everything stayed platonic

they weren’t upset surprisingly, they were more than willing to be friends with you too

eventually they found their other halves, but are still good friends with you

you were glad guys in your faculty were understanding,, unlike some that disliked you after that

you were friends with jaehwan, your old friend since the both of you were in diapers

he took up music, and ended up having lots of college scholarship offers

he eventually went to your college, despite it not one of his first few choices

“my friend would die a lonely virgin if i didnt help her with her love life”

“shut up jaehwan, 80% of your girlfriends broke up with you because your laugh is annoying”

“i dId NOT aSk for this sLaNdEr”

anyway, you had no idea how jaehwan ended up in wanna one(and daniel’s roomate), depite his “boom boom-bastic” dance skills

but that boy’s vocals can reach to the gods in heaven and appease them

he tried to matchmake you with all of the members of wanna one(excluding the minors of course) but it all failed because your friend was the worst at being discreet

the lords of venus eventually shined upon you when daniel was sent to your faculty for “emergency” treatment

“y/n,,, we need you to fix daniel, quick.” jaehwan said breathlessly over the phone

“if he needs a one night stand, im not an option, you know that, kim jaehwan.”

“no, that stupid boy accidentally cut himself while trying to disect a frog… and he’s bleeding a lot.”

“oh the flower boy from vetinary?” you nodded as you took your first aid kit, “but you aren’t even majoring in vetinary, jaehwan, what are you doing with daniel?”

“he called me to call you– ok nevermind, i’ll explain to you later, we’re on our way to your faculty. wait for us outside the medicine labs.”

“uh okay.”

so there you were, waiting outside the medicine labs with your first aid kit

seconds later, you saw 3 boys running towards you, one visibly taller than the other 2

you could finally make out their faces, it was jaehwan, daniel and another boy, wonwoo whom you were friends with due to jaehwan’s failed matchmaking

“y/n,, i think daniel is gonna suffer from anaemia…”

you tried to stifle your laughter as you examined the cardigan wrapped around daniel’s hand

“he won’t. don’t worry.” you assured them as you unraveled the cardigan, “let’s just hope it’s nothing too deep…”

when you revealed the wound, it was just a minor cut, though not as minor as a paper cut but definitely bleeding

you glared at jaehwan, who smiled sheepishly and resigned to his death after you treated daniel

you dressed the wound quickly, lips pursed in concentration

what you didnt notice was daniel’s gaze, which was on you the whole time

he had a weird feeling in his stomach, he wanted to use his other hand to run it through your hair

he tried to shake it off, but he got more and more attracted to you when he saw your eyes meeting his to make sure he isnt uncomfortable

this wasnt the first time daniel saw you though, he often saw you on jaehwan’s lockscreen, as your friend had set the selca both of you took as his lockscreen

as much as daniel wanted to meet you, he didn’t want to give you the wrong impression because of his rumours

at this point, daniel was totally smitten

everyone could see it, even the members of wanna one started teasing him about it

when he finally had the guts to text you, he was all giddy when you replied, jumping up whenever he heard the personalized notification just for your contact

meanwhile, while you were talking to daniel, you really loved it when he talks about animals, it seemed like all time has stopped in the world and his passion for taking care of animals is just so attractive

and he didnt seem like the usual fuckboy everyone perceived him to be

one day, daniel asked you out for a pizza date, and you immediately agreed

because free pizza and a cute date, why not

the both of you ended up going to laundry pizza, just bc daniel said ioi went there to take their album jacket photos there LOL

but the pizza there was good so you weren’t complaining

daniel ended up paying for the both of you, after 15 minutes of rentless argument over who should pay

the both of you also went to the arcade, wasting your money on those claw machines

you didn’t get anything, but you had fun throwing airballs at the basketball machine thingy

daniel walked you back pretty early, because he knew you had a morning lecture the next morning

not gonna lie, you wanted to stay longer but daniel was not gonna have any of it

daniel walked you till your doorstep, and your hands were fumbling through your purse for your keys

looks like someone forgot their keys,,,

you laughed humourlessly as you tried to open the locked door, but only for daniel to giggle along with you

your roomate was out too, and she wouldn’t be back till the next morning

“i dont think its safe for you to be sleeping outside, why dont you stay over at my place?”

“ok let’s go”

you didnt even say anything and here you are, at daniel’s dorm, unsure of what to do

just watching daniel hastily clean up his dorm is quite amusing

“jaehwan wont be back till really late, he has an event to attend to.” daniel smiled as he proceeeds to kick the sweet wrappers under the sofa, “i’m sorry you have to put up with this, y/n.”

“no, no, thank you for letting me stay here, or i’ll be freezing in the cold right now.” you shook your head, yawning

“do you want a change of clothes? i have a hoodie you can wear…hopefully”

you never knew you would be staying in daniel’s dorm, on his bed, in his hoodie

until today

you slept fairly well, with daniel’s scent invading all your senses

until you felt something on your foot

you woke up, scared

the thing kept probing at your feet, and soon it was licking it

you screamed, and soon enough daniel ran into his room to see what happned

“y-y/n?” he rubbed his eyes as he turned on the lights, “what happened?”

“s-something was at my foot”

daniel moved the sheets, and he found rooney peacefully sleeping on the foot of the bed

“i’m sorry, rooney always likes to invade the bed in the middle of the night,,, i should’ve told you earlier”

“it’s fine, i was just too shocked hahaha”

silence

“maybe i’ll sleep with you, so peter and rooney wont disturb us”

you stared at daniel, as he quickly waved his hands, “no, no, i wont do anything, i swear, you can end me if i do.”

neither of you could sleep, so daniel nudged you

“y/n… i know its weird to say this but,, i like you”

well that was really weird

“i don’t expect you to accept me and all but i just wanna let you know that i–”

you cut daniel off with a kiss, as he sneakily snaked his arms around your waist to bring you closer

after a good like, 20 seconds, you pulled away, “me, rejecting kang daniel?? no way.”

ever since the both of you started dating, jaehwan started to brag about himself, saying that the both of you were a couple thanks to him,,,

but would shut up immediately after he sees you in the vicinity because he would be running away from you

a very cute relationship, daniel would always wrap his arms around your shoulders and snuggle you close to him

instant ramen dates are a big thing and you always have to clean up after daniel

but he helps of course, after hearing you nag at him for the nth time

he would always make you a bento before your papers, with a note that says, “with this bento, you will do well! fighting! love, daniel”

and vice versa, you would bake him muffins too

sweetest boyfriend, but the type to say pick up lines to annoy the heck out of you

they arent even smooth, theyre hella bad

and yes, kang choding still exists

you have to physically stop him from buying/eating more gummies or his teeth would rot

since daniel is relatively bigger in size, you would always steal his clothes and he would always wonder how his clothes would mysteriously go missing

he would know the answer when he sees you the next morning

the whole campus ships the both of you sm

As a human who’s worked in get clinics and my family friends are all long time vets I can say I don’t know it all like most people think they do but an animal having an incredibly deep voice is COMPLETELY possible. I accidentally adopted another bun. Like okay I’ve wanted more buns in my life forever but I also had made the decision to not adopt any until after my big out of state move in 2-3 years. Chewie is nine now and starting to show his age a little. So I made the deal with myself: Chewie will be the only bun I transport the 9+ hour drive when the time comes. If he passes before that I will not get another animal until the other side of the move. (it might sound morbid to be like ‘if he passes’ but this is me trying to slowly cope with the idea that I am going to lose him to old age/health when I’ve had him somewhere around six years now) It’s just that 9+ hours in a car sounds super exhausting for him and me. I will be of course making rest stops so I can stretch and he can be let out of his carrier and run around in the car a little. But let’s face it- it’s going to be a super long day all around. I wasnt exactly planning on letting this happen with more animals or any if he passes before then.

So another rabbit was firmly off the table. But. I got a text from my aunt saying that someone she knew was trying to get rid of their rabbit asap or he’d be dumped at a humane society. I just could not let that happen. The daughter wanted a kitten now, so the bun had to go. And I stepped up and took him. I had him maybe an hour after our texting.

And lemme tell you the rage I have about the situation. They couldn’t tell me anything about him really other than he’s ‘approx five years old’. They didn’t even tell me his name until I asked. They didn’t have him in a carrier in the car. Okay yeah sometimes animals need to ride in laps to feel better- but uh, I don’t support doing that when it can be avoided. buns are tricky about that, but they didn’t even own a carrier for him. I had brought Chewie’s carrier as a just in case and lord I’m glad I did. This guy shook for most of the ride back with him. He was shaking when they passed him over. I didn’t drive home for like twenty minutes cause he was shaking. He has a vet appt Tuesday to see what kind of shape he is in- besides badly needing a nail trim yikes- and what we can figure out.

So me and him are just in that stage of figuring each other out. I’ve had the same rabbit for like six years. I know how Chewie is and he trusts me. I know Thumper doesn’t eat veggies and maybe not even hay (which both concern me). He doesn’t want either. He’s a humper, not surprising fully intact. I mean Chewie isn’t fixed either, but he’s so old he sort of doesn’t care lol Thumper is a nipper. It’s not a full bite, but there’s definitely teeth. I can’t help but think he would have been a hard sale at a shelter. He humps a lot and uses his teeth, not easy things to convince a new family to deal with for their kids.

It’s so weird to be back at a learning stage and with a rabbit almost half Chewie’s age.
