Q: Do you have a favourite Star Trek captain and was there one in particular that you took extra inspiration from when preparing for the role of Christopher Pike? "Not really. Obviously, I went back and re-watched Jeffrey Hunter's work. I grew up watching The Original Series and I'm a big Shatner fan. And Junior High School was the beginning of The Next Generation. I like all of them. But, honestly, I was more concerned about making a new captain, and wanted to differentiate him from everything else we'd had before." - Anson Mount
