A fossil messenger bag! I feel like Blathers would totally have one!
The bag is custom patterned with lots of pockets inside and one hidden one outside to hide fossils, my phone, and even bugs (no aaaah!) the strap is removable in case I want to change it to shorter ones later. It zips up so it can hold it's fossil shape.
There is so much space inside. I fit notepads, water bottle, and my tablet in its case inside. Definitely a good con bag.
Outer materials: duck canvas with felt details
Inner: quilting cotton leftover from lining the hat

My ouji-style Blathers is done! This was such a joy to bring my drawing to life. So much experimentation with different fabrics and notions, a few coming from my cosplay discord as they watched me build this. They also helped me choose the colors for the socks. Truly an AC community project!
Everything from head to toe was handmade save the wig and my glasses. So much patterning, so much quilted and custom designs, and of course cute patches! If I had to pick a favorite element, it probably would be the quilted vest fabric and that classy lace shirt. I love vests so much! They're so stylish!
I'll be taking him to SakuraCon and handing out dinosaur eggs for Egg Day. Eventually I'd like to submit him to a big contest!

Reblogs to follow with the rest. Just did a ton of my own LiB cosplays with what I have.
I cannot stop thinking about Bruce talking to his daughter about normal stuff like his day. And she brings up she's been really into something special. She dresses up in her special themed outfits. It's not new, but she's extra excited about it. She talks about all her favorite characters. She adds items to the island themed around this new interest of hers. They're a little offputting, but shes his Kiddo, so he lets it be. She's also insanely powerful and has the power to move entire buildings, relocate other villagers, time travel, and make people appear out of thin air for harv's Island.
She's his sweet kid, very strange, very odd, but he loves her. One day a new goat comes to town from- where? He's even stranger.
He doesn't understand this place. (Listen you don't have to use my ideas I'm spittballing I honestly would love to see you take this completely in a different direction) he doesn't understand how they live like this or why he's not scared.
And Bruce just sees another champ to talk to. Maybe this goat man is lonely too.
