maybe harley was expecting too much. of course shiv would bring her boyfriend along to celebrate. but harley hated seeing the two of them together. whenever they got too close or they'd kiss, it made harley feel sick to her stomach. harley wanted that to be her. and sometimes, it would be. but whenever he came around, it was as though harley didn't even exist anymore. it was like this for a while now and even though harley knew she should get tired of these games, she was wrapped around shiv's pretty little finger like an idiot and she couldn't give her up. and it didn't help that they were touring around the country in the same band, forced to be around each other all the time. even though they were all supposed to be having fun with right now since it was the after party to one of their shows, harley wasn't in the mood. so she had left the others, waiting outside with a bottle of beer to keep her company. as she continued to drink her sorrows away, she heard footsteps coming up from behind her but didn't bother to turn around. she just assumed it was one of the other members anyway. leo is always so nice, so warm and charming and...it only makes this all harder. her throat feels tight as she struggles to return her smile, every second that she spends with the other feeling like another moment of misery. "i'm sure he'll be here soon," lydia tries to assure softly, not wanting leo to think anything weird is going on. she hopes it isn't, hopes that her roommate isn't being a jackass or...well, hopefully he's just stuck in traffic. she laughs nervously, tucking a piece of bleach blonde hair behind her ear. "yeah, i guess that's the silver lining. do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"so, do you know how long you're sticking around for?" dani asked as she finished making breakfast for the two of them. the town was small enough that they rarely had any new faces around, and she couldn't help but be drawn to them the minute they walked into the gym. it was almost like she was pulled right away, plus seeing her throw a punch at one of the creepy regulars was just the cherry on top of it all. things moved a little faster than she thought they should have but she hadn't felt this great for the longest time. as she slid the omelet onto a plate, she set it down in front of them and went to grab some coffee before sitting down herself. "there's not too much shit to do here anyway." she said with a shrug. she wouldn't be surprised if she was only here for a bit before trying to find somewhere a bit more exciting to go to. "but if you stick around for a little bit, you're more than welcome to come and hangout at the gym whenever you want." she said with a chuckle.

quickly and as discreetly as possible, preston smuggled up two mugs of freshly brewed coffee back to his room, passing the girl one curated to her specific taste as he kicked the door closed behind him. “not to freak you the fuck out,” he began, unable to sit still as he prepped himself for her reaction, “but your brother is downstairs right now. i kind of forgot we scheduled band practice this morning… and please keep in mind, even if you hate me for forgetting, the walls are thin and that motherfucker will hear you you if you feel compelled to start screaming.”

She wasn’t sure what it was, but watching them fight with that best friend of theirs gave her a thrill, and now she had no other choice but to twist the knife a bit deeper. It was just a part of her nature. “Does it ever get boring? To live your life like the funny-but-never-interesting-enough little sidekick?”

"successful?" tamsin snorts, "that's suggesting that she can do something right..." she lowers her voice for that, at least. she knows making enemies in this place probably isn't a good idea but holding her tongue is something she isn't good at. poor rave is stuck with dealing with the brunt of her need to speak all the time. "if i'm going to die out here, it is not going to be because of her — we'll have to take shifts sleeping if her glares become any more threatening."

sofia couldn't help but feel her smile widen when she saw the brunette and laugh when she saw her start to run. her heart was beating out of her chest the closer she got. all the phone calls, the face times, the texts were leading up to the two of them finally meeting in person and it sent her stomach full of butterflies. her arms wrapped tightly around her as she was engulfed in a tight hug, almost not believing she was actually in front of her. "i hope you don't have anything breakable in there." she teased as she held her close, not wanting to let her go. sofia laughed again and shook her head as she pulled back slightly. "i think you almost running that guy over was cool enough." even though they were meeting for the first time in person, she felt like eri knew her more than anyone. "these are for you." she said as she wiggled the flowers between the two of them. she wasn't going to be letting go of her anytime soon, even just to give her these flowers. "i still can't believe you're actually here." she teased as she gave her a small nudge. "i have the whole entire week planned out, and i know i owe you a lot of dates." she teased. while the two of them could go on 'dates' over the phone she was extremely excited about actually doing them in person. "is that t everything?" she said as she motioned to her bag. "i can get it for you."
