ever since preston had agreed to keep things on the down low with fern, he'd honestly had no complaints. aside from the obvious. even the sneaking around was pretty sexy. not to mention the anticipation of the next time he could pull his girl into a dimly lit hallway to steal a moment away with her while the risk of being caught loomed over their head? it was a fucking daydream, and as he was waiting in that grey area to 'run into her' at the party they chose to attend separately, preston hadn't calculated the chances of a pretty girl trying to hit him up. he wasn't interested in the least, but did he pretend to be for the sake of their ruse? it was a fine line to debate as he looked around, wondering if fern would be coming to his rescue soon, and how mad she might be to see the blonde encroaching on his personal space.
