thinking abt how a lot of people didn’t rly like declan lynch in pre dreamer trilogy (because we only got to see him thru other characters’ povs and those characters don’t rly like him either) and how a lot of people don’t rly like aaron minyard (because we only get to see him thru neil’s unbelievably unreliable and biased narration) and thinking abt the venn diagram that is declan/aaron.

both “better loved” brothers (declan finding out he was the favorite all along and it was his love for ronan that kept ronan alive. aaron being kept instead of andrew, living some semblance of a normal life before things got really bad, and aaron insisting on finding andrew because he wanted to know his brother)

declan’s gunning people down in a last ditch attempt to save his loved ones even tho it put his own life at risk. aaron killing drake to save his brother without any hesitation even tho it could derail his own life.

both of them self isolating because the alternative is more painful. declan being afraid to love jordan because she’s another dream and he’s tired. aaron being afraid to love and be around katelyn because he made a promise to his brother.

both of them with their high aspirations, under constant stress. both of them suffering from ulcers. both of them cunts who dislike their brothers’ bitchy boyfriends <3
