One of my fave people in catalan folklore is sant jordi (saint george) who saved the princess but when the king asked him to marry her he was like naaah and left forever. icon
#i hate it so much when the rose is the symbol of love and then they leave happily ever after🤮🤮#hes an icon he saves her life gives her a rose out of chivalry and then hes like byeee#and then people are like 💕and he gave her a rose as a signal of his love💕#like. no#the king is like pleaseee marry her and he says no#hes there literally just to save the village and she happens to be the unlucky person who was chosen that day#how does that mean hes in love with her in any world💀💀#screams aroace king to me👑👑👑#and then everyone makes the story about love makes st jordi about love and ughh why is everything in the world about love#so i have this problem where i love sant jordi (books the character etc) but i hate how society treats it (why is it the lovers day😭😭)#at least its better than valentines day bc it has good things lol#also its not weird to give friends roses (i never do it tho lol i dont have money xdd)#but still its frustrating how they make everything about love#anyway here ends my rant ig#feliç sant jordi gent#mine
