the conference yesterday made me feel so underdressed. i would have borrowed my moms top that made me look 50 but i didn’t because i didn’t want to look 50 but then everyone else there was dressed real nice and i felt weird. like i did go in a long skirt and sweater but i looked more like a teacher than someone training to become a doctor

#personal #also i was one of the youngest people there which additionally made me feel out of place #like everyone else was either freshly transferred to a university or about to #there were even some grown adults there bc they were looking for a career change #there were VERY few first year in college attendees there #and when i went to the surviving post transfer life panel there were probably like five of us #the only people i talked to at the conference were in their second or third year of community college and about to transfer #i know i wasn’t the only first year bc the keynote speaker did ask for a show of hands with what year of community college or university we #were in but like #holy shit #on the other hand i did participate a decent amount during the question portions #even got to explain what a word cloud was when nobody else knew when the students running the conference were like #we’re gonna do a word cloud for what colleges you guys are coming from #and the guy i spoke to at the university transfer fair on thursday remembered me when i asked him for directions to the next panel i needed #to be in #anyways to sum up the conference: holy fucking shit am i going to go into debt*#*provided i decide to go into med school
