🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

ohoho i always love explaining this one for Fate. Bc it very much was Fate's passage at first for her, but specifically the Butterflies Of Fate one sees around the region. And at the first time of creation axis high was my hyperfixation so she was a normal student at first - but that quickly changed once I researched the third layer, some parts of the game, and the butterflies' lore again. Fate is basically based on and basically Is the concept of "Fate's Passage"; though there's a teensy bit of nuance due to smth I won't say yet. But, essentially, it is Fate itself.

Yinan ... I wanted a Bladestar OC, and originally he was just a grunt, for like the first year I had him, but when I roleplayed him more he kinda became like an Admin figure bc eveyrone realised WOW Bladestar is Really lacking in higher up figures (There's dubiously Ryland and Jenkel.png and ofc FLora.... but that's like it. and V didnt rlly have enough relevance to seem to count). With his concept of being a big moneymaker for the team, maintaining public relations (where V and FLora dont), and overall being an additional powerhouse to the ranks (Jenkel......doesnt Really count does he loL?) in terms of inside GDC itself. His concept was also based off the casinos/game places ingame (so the GDC and Chrysola Hotel), and thus he only used any pokemon that were given as prizes in That (+ the Fish Tank) as of V12. His team will not remove any pokemon if any of these prizes happen to change in the future, only get more added if any are added lol.

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?

Fate - The Interceptors. More curiously, it seems to have more spite for ones on Renegade; but overall doesn't discriminate. Strangely enough, Nim as well. Any Anomalies in the timeline; things that [CONTAIN] its control, things that do not ALLOW its control, things that STOP IT from functioning, things that were NOT THERE before, things that should NOT EXIST.

Yinan - ermm good question ig the default answer is prolly just Cassandra just bc Bladestar wants her Gone Girl LOL. In terms of other Funny ones tho; V ("Stop fucking asking me to buy your iced sawsbuck coffee we're both rich") and Dylan ("legally I have to keep you in check so you don't bother bladestar operations")

it's funny bc by being the one who has to 'keep dylan in check', he's theoretically stronger than Flora herself and can rival an E8 member if he really had the motive too.

AYYYY HI HI I did have a pirate/mermaid au but it's so old I don't remember its plot now anymore lmao but I think in one version of it Ryland was a sailor (and a merman??) and Tim was a merman who saved him and he was also hunted by pirates(cue Howard as a pirate captain but that would make him look way too cool so ig he could be some kraken yeah he can be a kraken,, or maybe bot h for a plot twist hmm), so it was just a tim/ryland based au but I would definitely love to make it abt other characters too thinking emoji

I definitely need to reboot it or just make a new one completely and I haven't really drawn anything for mermay this year rip

I was just commenting about your thoughts on Shane and Garrett distancing cause I think the same thing. I think Shane has been rude and changed since he moved and started working with jeffree so much, but hey tried to keep it friendly. Then it was obvious he didn’t have any interest in Garrett’s life and I think Garrett had enough and stopped it all even though I’m sure there haven’t been any actual fights cause neither would want to make it awkward for Andrew lol thoughts?

imo shane’s become just as obnoxious and boujee as ryland. j* is such a snake and is slowly making shane become as obsessed with luxury and money as he is. in ryland’s newest video, shane was showing off four $67 hermes lipsticks he’d bought. he literally made a “joke” about how his subscribers said that “collabing with jeffree would change me… and you were fucking right”. like. do i need to go on

shane and garrett are both definitely avoiding any direct conflict in the public eye. tbh i think part of shane may feel remorseful or miss garrett, since he follows garrett on tiktok and garrett doesn’t follow him back, put a “memories” video on his ig story the other day where the first pic was of garrett and j*, etc… but garrett definitely doesn’t return the sentiment. he’s very subtly dissed shane on twitter before, and has also liked posts about getting rid of toxic people in your life. (if u want me to find receipts, i totally can!)

and i agree that they’re both sort of skirting around andrew. i don’t know exactly how close andrew really is off camera with shane, but i’m pretty sure his loyalty lies and always will lie with garrett. ryland’s also made it clear that andrew makes him jealous and insecure, and i think that’s prevented him from getting closer than being just a good friend to shane. andrew cares so much about all the people in his life, but garrett clearly comes first to him. why else would they be quarantined together? when he could be staying at shyland’s house and editing with shane all day… (oh wait, that’d be weird because they’re all just friends. but him and garrett are also just friends. right?)

hearing people say that shane might do a doc sounded ridiculous to me at first but i guess i forgot that ryland MET shane while working at clevver..... honestly i don’t care that much about a doc itself but if there was one, and if smosh had time to relaunch in whatever form before it finished, that could be a super helpful jumpstart.... idk. i’m definitely getting ahead of myself but i just really want my babies to succeed ig

i feel you, anon. i wasn’t really expecting or wanting a shane documentary on it either because i feel like the point of his docs are to reveal the truth and spill the tea but i feel with defy, there’s not much left that’s not already out in the open. like we know the company is trash, we don’t need a doc to show that lol

but i would want to hear ian and anthony’s take on defy, honest and open, in the same room, which i feel could be easily prompted by a shane doc. and you’re right, i think a doc would be a nice jumpstart for whatever new thing smosh has brewing up. so i agree, i want them to succeed but i also want them to start on the right foot by first letting go of whatever baggage they have with defy or really anything surrounding smosh.
