#oh I hadn’t realized that all the kids in the in-universe club knew Cap’s secret identity but it makes sense#they’ve presented it before that characters that read these comics know#like how all the lieutenant marvels were introduced as kids who read the comics and knew that they were real even though other kids didn’t#and there was that one story where Billy joins a group of kids playing Captain Marvel#and is assigned the role of Billy Batson and is told to say Shazam#I like this approach I think it made it kind of immersive for kids back then who read the comics and joined the actual club#though I think the club was largely used for advertising#they printed one of the letters ‘from Captain Marvel’ in the Fawcett Companion#and it was basically largely just Cap telling them to buy other Fawcett Magazines#and the clothes in Mary’s fashion line that his sister Mary Marvel ‘designed herself’#dc#fawcett comics#marvel family#billy batson#my posts#comic panels
