omg first cooked meal in ages and it did not disappoint hm i think i'm ready to go back to light cooking that was definitely worth it i think the issue is me trying to rush through it and not having any distractions to keep me patient but now i cracked the code to cook relaxed so i cook it exactly how i want

#it was chickpeas and parata if anyone was curious #i was referencing trinidadian style chickpeas doubles #but it didn't occur to me i wanted that until i was home already so i didn't buy any tamarind paste or some of the other ingredients #like all spice nutmeg etc #but i used black vinegar oyster sauce fish sauce and it was good anyways #i shouldve used the cinnamon powder now that i think of it but i forgot i had it in powder form #well i bought a bigger can than usual so i will make it again with some alterations im in the mood for experimentation now #and i wanna see how close i can get to the trinidadian style #i had it one time at a picnic in june and i did not forget about the deliciousness #i also need to make the cucumber chutney #🧃#i was getting real tired of hmi's meat centric food with the laziest seasoned vegetables and too sweet savory dishes #americans never make anything spicy and even their savory dishes are somehow sweet explain that
