Watched Battle of the Five Armies again... it hit me that Bilbo mourned over Thorin's body, and Tauriel over Kili's, but there was no one to go sit with Fili and mourn for him... he was mourned alongside his kin as a son of Durin, yeah, but on that mountaintop his body was left alone amidst the orcs

#and i know his death is essentially what sends kili and thorin rampaging #and eventually leads to their deaths #but he is even kind of forgotten in those moments?#tauriel and bilbo are shown #they kinda forgot about fili #i like to think Dwalin sat by him for a moment #i should not be this sad about this and yet here i am #the hobbit #fili #fili durin #battle of the five armies #bofta #crow rambles while high on sleep deprivation
