And god, y'know as person who's cut off almost all their social media recently (I really only login for like 5 minutes a day to check on a few official accounts, merchandise announcements, keep up with certain news and to blog occasionally), I'd like to suggest limiting your exposure to these toxic platforms for the sake of your sanity.

Especially Twitter (who are we kidding? it's always going to be Twitter :P) because that place just keeps getting worst on top of already being infested with the vilest of scumbags. Not saying that tumblr is any better cuz it's not but yea, Twitter is still the worst, bar none. Also a reminder that a bunch of faceless randos who hide behind anonymity will never be worth your time, emotional health or your eyes. Chances are they're a bunch of radicals or delulus who haven't truly experienced enough of the real world to be able to separate their crazy paranoia fantasies from reality.

There's a reason Otona Precure is aimed at adults and not the unhinged shippers or anti-shippers or whatever.

I mean, what is there to gripe about here? Coco is the primary target of the bashing simply based on the shallow fact that he's a man and older than Nozomi. That's it, nothing else.

They don't take into account that he's not the type of person to take advantage of her, that nothing over the PG-13 rating happened between them since the moment they met in the original seasons (because this spin-off is still attached to Precure series and you know the writers are responsible enough to not allow any sort of explicit content in the story). Nor do they care that his proposal is the very first time he's ever confessed his feelings to Nozomi (and vice versa), who IS a full-fledged woman and more than capable of making her own decisions and choosing her own happiness.

Haters wanna hate because frankly, they're not good at anything else but projecting all the worst parts about themselves onto a harmless piece of fiction. Why else would they hang on social media all day with nothing good to say?

Well before I put here that I didn’t post a lot just reblog but apparently I’ve started yapping alot so yeah

so i was kinda worried about the relationship between Kanade and Hibiki falling into the old and tired me not feeling like they actually like each other. which was how more or less Nozomi and Rin played out, where their relationship was mostly played off for jokes and the moments of actually caring for each other were so rare and then never actually developed their relationship past the point of it's funny to have the angry character scold the clumsy character (this is also why I hate Umi from love live so, so much, sorry Umi fans but i can't stand her)

but on the contrary it's actually so well done? like the conflict doesn't arise from one of the characters being irrationally angry at the other for what, most of the time, wasn't even their fault (cough cough Daisuke), but it's a great showcase of the fact that Kanade and Hibiki are very different people with very strong personalities.

most of the time, when they get angry at each other it actually feels justified (ep4 Kanade wanting to be praised for something she worked hard for) or comes from a place of care (ep3 where Kanade knew Hibiki was closing herself off and was, at the end of the day, hurting herself by it)

i'm still not 100% convinced for this dynamic (it's hard to appeal to a hater) but i like that it isn't that, that it actually feels like a relationship build on them liking each other than haha wouldn't that be funny

Liev makes his way up the stairs of his modern, spacious house, his footsteps echoing as he approaches the bedroom, opening the door with his foot as he walks over towards the bed where Gabby was laying, moving to set the mugs down on the dresser before moving under the sheets with her, pulling her tightly, deeply, into a comforting hug, knowing just how horrible everything was going in the internet world outside of their little space together, but inside it, wanting her to have a space of calm, of reprieve from it all, wanting to have faith that it would all die down soon enough, but...not wanting to bring it back to her mind by checking the internet to see if she was still trending on twitter thanks to the shippers viciously tearing her apart. "I brought your favorite," he softly murmurs as he holds her close, gently, comfortingly rubbing her back, before looking deeply into her eyes. "It'll all blow over soon enough, and through it all, I'm here, by your side," he affirms, a warm, sincere smile moving across his lips, placing a soft kiss on her lips to reaffirm his words before reaching over, to offer the mug to her. "Not quite like you make it, but..."

Gabby's face tightens as her phone notifications continue to explode, skimming through the various hate comments; tearing apart every thing that made her...Her, from her heritage, to her laugh, her sexuality, to anything...and fucking EVERYTHING. Just entirely....drained as she switches her phone off, once she hears the sound of the door opening and footsteps soon there after. Releasing a weak breath as she feels Liev's arms wrap around her, closing her eyes as her full lips downturn into a defeated frown. "I...don't even...Get It, it makes zero fucking sense..." She lowly mutters out a sad...anger flickering within her as she sniffs a bit turning over to look at Liev, and the café bustelo, softly blowing it as she takes a much needed drink of it, wiping her hand along her eyes. "...Is there anything I'm cutting into....or...like what the Fuck?"

Liev comfortingly pulls Gabby tighter, holding her as he hopes he could provide some semblance of comfort, rubbing her back a bit. "Sometimes, the internet just...Doesn't," he replies, the whims of cancellations, the shipping, the...urge total strangers had to tear someone down for the smallest of reasons, especially when Gabby had done nothing other than...be with him, share a life with him, publicly, unapologetically, a guilt moving though her as he places a soft, gentle kiss on her cheek, wishing he could shoulder everything that was being thrown at her, take all the vitriol aimed at her onto himself, but...knowing that he couldn't, softly shaking his head as he hears her words. "No, it's just...I've never understood it, but it's just this part of mine and Noz's fan bases that have...never gone away, with this...Shipping," he says as he tries to think through it himself, never quite understanding it, but it never having really done any Harm...until now, that is, continuing to just hold Gabby, wishing he could do more, but...wanting to do all he could, be by her side, through what had come and what might still be to come, even as he hoped the worst part of the storm had come to pass.

Gabby's brows pull tightly together as she hears his shitty excuse about it all, a sharpness cutting into her at it. "So, that's just It? It is what it Is?" She scoffs back, having felt that maybe...her lips tightening, "That's bullshit, those people aren't "Fans", Liev. They're haters, trolls, bigots, and generally trash people and you should want to say Something..." She expresses, moving to untangle herself from him, a wave of frustration...and...hngh...sniffing a bit as she swallows some just wanting to..."I'm just...I'm gonna go." She dismissively mutters out, scooping her jeans off the floor and shimmying a bit back into them as she works swiftly to button and zip them, tossing his shirt back onto the bed as she slips her tank top back on, letting out a silent breath as she grabs her phone, breezing past the bed and to the door, "...Got a Thing..." Moving down the steps, making a mental note to Grab Her Shoes.

Liev feels Gabby's words cut back into them as he rethinks them reflected back in a new light, a bit...frustrated with himself for thinking, saying that, even though the other part of him, the part that had been entrenched in it all for so long knew, that no matter what he, she, or anyone else did, they were going to do what they wanted until they got what they wanted, that to these people, him and Nozomi were Beyond who they were as individuals and more of an...Idea, and they listened, believed in that Idea, not, him, but even still..."Wait," he says to her, as he gets up, moving down to follow her, hoping to catch her before she left... "You're right. I don't know if they'll listen to me, or Noz, or even both of us together, but...that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to get them to listen, to ensure to those who do know that I don't approve of what they're doing, that they know how special you are, how important you are to me, and how every single one of these things they're trying to tear down is...another thing I love about you," he replies, a flit of softness moving through his voice at the end of it, before he looks at her seriously, resting his hands on his shoulders. "I meant it, I'm here with you, by your side, through all of this, and whatever needs to be done, I'll do it," he affirms to her, his mind already trying to move at finding...something that could at least help a little. "I'll call up Noz, and we can both make a video addressing everything, together, to make it clear where we both stand, because you're right, it's something where you have to take a stand, or it won't stop, and it needs to."

Gabby cuts around to see Liev There just as she moves to slip into her sandals, looking over him, with more than just a bit of...exhaustion, disappointment, but...releasing a breath as she finds herself giving him the opportunity to speak further...tilting her head ever so slightly as he continues a softness edging gently across her features, moving her left hand over top of Liev's own upon her shoulder, rubbing it a bit. "What you Love about me, huh?" She asks, a gentle flit of teasing in her tone even as a subtle warmth resonates through her, touching her in lieu of all the hate that was emblazoned her shoulders relaxing a bit further as she gives him a faint, appreciative, smile, leaning her head a bit against the side of his hand as she gently nods, taking in his plan of action, something she could actually...get Behind. "Okay."

"What I Love about you," Liev repeats again, a soft smile peeking through onto his lips, moving to press as soft kiss onto her head, before moving to pull her into a tight embrace. "I'll call Noz and see if we can film something tonight," he promises to her, ready to do that shortly, but , for the moment, there and now...holding her, for a moment, gently, comfortingly rubbing her back.
