Oh wow your tags (re: AI books written instyle of Author and marketed as book written by Author without Author's permission) made me imagine a world where you literally NEED to copyright your face, name, and voice unless you want it stolen, and companies would approach you to use them, paying you royalties, and if you don't renew your copyright or whatever every few years you're going to get it all taken away from you. Like a literal digital futuristic materialization of the fae realm.

What does this say about identity and where it's going? So important, so critical in our society today, yet so easily taken away... Deepfaked videos of people committing heinous crimes, audiobooks and programs presented in the voice of a woman no longer alive but whose family couldn't afford to continue paying to protect her identity, sequels of classics written by authors long dead, their words recycled and repurposed and presented under a name they once had...

The thing is this is not an imagined reality this is HAPPENING and it's HORRIFYING and it makes me want to lie face down on the floor and never get up!!!!
