random thing that i've noticed but within like. a single year of being openly plural online we've actually gotten more used to we/us instead of i/me even when talking irl
#just a random observation that we made#we struggle with perceiving change over a long period of time#so when we Notice it it's always a little odd and intriguing#but like when we first started using this blog we got anxious that we'd get fakeclaimed for being used to using i/me collectively?? 😭#but its like. we were never Out about this before of course it would take a while to change the habit of Our Fucking First Person Pronouns#we're more comfortable using we now especially as we get. more of us#and especially since we've dissolved the role of 'host'#we've been considering since the beginning using some first person neos but we never settled on one we liked#we haven't heard many examples though so we still have to do more looking#we just think it'd be useful to have that first person neo to differentiate between whether we're talking about Just The System#or The System plus Outside People#like 'we went to the store' could either mean 'our system in our one body went to the store'#or 'our system in our one body went with someone else to the store'#and we think it'd be useful to have a word to differentiate those two things#but i/me by itself doesn't really work for us anymore because now i/me means 'the singular me within the system' not 'the system overall'#we need a good intermediary between i and we#an in-between word#humans don't have enough in-between words#too many one-or-the-other words
