@hetaari told me to franliepost, but really, the thing that's mostly bouncing around my head is how much "You're gonna go far, kid" is a Franci song and while it could have many narrators, Charlie is the one that stuck.
But especially because it fits them so well in Italian Affairs? And I can't wait to rewrite it so that it fits even more?
Charlie, who obliviously flirts with this man who looks like he was made to stand model for one of the busts in the Capitoline Museums. Charlie later realizing that the pretty face hides something so much more gruesome. And Charlie then managing to be the mouse that pisses off the big, bad cat.
I love the car chase in IA SO much. Francesco looking at it as enrichment, as a fun game to play out his sadistic side, until it comes back to bite him into the ass & he has to make other people pay for his mistakes. And that really raising the stakes for the Irish, more specifically Charlie because Harry already knows that Lovino wants his head after the way he behaved towards him. But Charlie knows, because he's behind the wheel, because he played with the fire that is Francesco Belfari in the first place, the ire that he saw in those eyes is probably going to hit him.
"There's something in your way
And now someone is gonna pay
And if you can't get what you want
Well, it's all because of me
Now dance, fucker, dance
Man, I never had a chance."
