"Johnny Depp was abused by Amber Heard and it's important that men feel safe to speak up about domestic violence" and "This trial will set a dangerous precedent of women becoming even less likely to be believed when speaking out about domestic violence" are statements that can and should coexist

in a not so surprising turn of events, greg ellis worked on the new harry potter game for 3 years and is apparently besties with jk rowling. ya know the guy who went on a 45 minute tirade about being left out of DA, is a mens right activist and lead the anti amber heard campaign. oh but it gets worse

It's crazy to me that the generation that grew up reading the hunger games consumed a domestic abuse trial like a reality tv show

The Mars-Neptune conjunction is big indicator of aggression and victimization, of anger and attack clouded in mists of confusion. Neptune conjunct Mars squaring the Moon & Mercury points to a person that is hard pressed to express genuine feeling and reason without becoming overwhelmed by an infantile longing for fusion and conquest. People have pointed out the absurdity of Amber’s expression of emotion, how it goes from sadness to anger to something else in a heartbeat. She has problems getting the words out because she’s overwhelmed by her own inner forces. This Mars/Neptune-Moon-Mercury T-square configuration in her chart reflects this dynamic perfectly.

amber heard/johnny depp trial isn't hurtful for #metoo and victims of a domestic abuse.
the trial actually helps abuse victims and gives hope for male victims who are not taken seriously in our society.
the trial makes people think of how easy we can believe what media feeds us.
the trial reminds us that "innocent until proven guilty" is the right course of action.
a person willingly lying, faking an evidence and promoting themselves as a victim of domestic abuse while actually being an abuser - that's what's hurtful.

I'm actually scared (and traumatized)of Everyone taking a side in the Johnny depp vs Amber Heard trial because...like either they don't have anything better to do and have actually done their research on two extremely rich and fucked up strangers (and still can go wrong in their speculation btw because they haven't experienced anything firsthand) OR they don't know anything and take a side because they're either radfems or incel men

Gonna go ahead and say I am on Johnny Depp's side before I tell yall this.
If you ever made fan edits of Johnny or Amber in the court room/Made 'compilations' of them doing 'cute' or 'weird' things/Fandomized this trial in anyway, block me.
This was an honest-to-god trial about abuse, and I dont care which side you are/were on you dont get to take real people's lives and their traumatic experiences and make cute little edits about them IN A FUCKING COURT ROOM!
Be glad that Johnny won and showed everyone men can be abused aswell, but dont act like he's your 'cute little meow meow' from animes, this man has done a lot of things both good and bad.
Both Amber and Johnny are real-life people, dont treat them like they're characters.

I'm gonna use this blog to say this, bc it's the most anonymous social network I have.
Johnny Depp won the trial! What a surprise.
Y'all are outside, on the internet on your phones, mocking and bullying Amber Heard for a white man who won a trial against his battered ex-wife. Don't get me wrong, I don't support any of them, but what you're doing is not right. They are both abusers and toxic, but Johnny Depp? Johnny Depp is a bad person.
I have lived all my life with battered women, I am a battered woman, I have been a victim. I know what an abusive relationship can do to a person's psyche. Maybe Amber Heard went through that. It may not fit your role as "battered woman", but you are treating him as a hero, and her as the villain, when the reality is not that.
And I've seen you, I've seen you forget all the bad things he's done just because he won a motherfucking trial. A fucking trial against a woman, as if it wqs too much, as if justice ever gave a shit about women.
But this goes beyond that, this is no longer about both being abusers, it's not about Amber being a victim or not, it's not about Johnny being an abuser or not.
It's about your internalized misogyny, it's about Hollywood, it's about how as Johnny has won the trial he's automatically a good person for everyone and Amber is a fucking witch. It's about a man who is handsome and talented and has captured hearts in all the world, that told her wife that he was going to rape and kill her. That he hit her. That he is or was a drug addict. That he let her fifteen-year-old daughter date with an older man. I deny that Amber also did any of this? No. But I remind you that Johnny did too.
You know what Amber didn't do?
Amber did not defend the confessed rapist of a thirteen year old girl.
In 1977, Roman Polanski rapes Samantha Geimer. A 13 year old girl.
In 1999 Johnny Depp makes the movie "The Ninth Gate".
In 2010 Johnny Depp defends Roman Polanski in an interview. Clearly saying "why now? There must be money involved. Why now? Clearly Polanski is not a predator. He is now 75 years old, has beautiful children, has a wife."
The man you have on a pedestal defended the rapist of a minor. But it doesn't matter, because when the man who says it is handsome and talented, sisterhood and sorority doesn't exist.
The people on twt who is unfollowing you bc you said you don't support Amber Heard? Maybe they are not unfollowing you bc of that. Maybe they are unfollowing you bc you support Johnny Depp.
Like Johnny Depp, there is a whole list of actors, actresses and directors who defend Polanski: Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, Jean-Jaques Annaud, Asia Argento, Darren Aronofsky, Paul Aster, Monica Bellucci, Gael García Bernal, Adrien Brody, Penelope Cruz, Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Toro, Jonathan Demme, Alexandre Desplat, Xavier Dolan, Stephen Frears, Harrison Ford, Terry Gilliam, Taylor Hackford, David Lynch, Martin Scorsese, Tilda Swinton... And many more, including the now diseased Harvey Weinstein.
Only one person on that list has publicly apologized and regretted signing an apology to Polanski (Natalie Portman)
Do you believe Amber? seem right. Do you believe Johnny? Go ahead, I don't care. Domestic violence against men exists, abusive women exist. But don't you dare say that Johnny Depp is a good person.
She was just a child. A fucking child.
Don't forget that 13-year-old girl just because your favorite actor won a trial.
This is all I'm ever going to say about this topic. Sorry for the rant. If you want to unfollow me go ahead.

Ironically, it's the material presented by the opposing side that makes Depp look more sympathetic, revealing just how much he's been struggling emotionally. The same can be said for Heard, since the first psychologist indicated personality disorders and childhood trauma on her part.

if I hear one more cishet woman go 'amber heard losing this case means failure forever for all female abuse victims' I am going to cover them in honey and let bears chase them. there is little to no proof that johnny abused amber(which isnt saying he didnt you dingleberries) while AMBER LITERALLY FUCKING ADMITTED TO HITTING HIM. there is MOUNTAINS of proof against amber that some of her abuse claims were utter bullshit. you're idiots if you think that one shitty woman being outed as an abuser is a step backwards. no, you fucking cunt, its proof that men can also be abused you fucking walnut. one woman being outed as a piece of shit abuser does not equal suddenly all women's words mean nothing. it means you're a fucking idiot for thinking that a man proving his ex abused him means women will be fucking ignored. you're all idiots and I hope you stub your toes directly into the corners of chests.
-sincerely, a pissed off AFAB person.

Johnny Depps’s lawyer Camille Vasquez has received a lot of admiration & praise for the way she’s handled everything during the famous Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial. Her chart certainly reveals someone who’s well equipped for the task. She has all the intellectual power and stamina that one could ask for.

Re: the video of depp banging things in the kitchen. I saw that when it was released in 2016/2017 and I had the same reaction as you. But they talk about it more in the trial and amber kind of alludes to this in the video as well - he was alone when he started slamming stuff. She was in some other part of the house and was waking up, then came into the kitchen. He didn’t start banging stuff around with the intention of scaring her. It’s not great behavior, not saying it is, but there’s a difference between having general anger management issues and being abusive. Also, it’s exceptionally triggering so decide for yourself whether to listen, but there are hours of audio of conversations between the two of them where AH talks about her physical abuse, saying things like “sorry I don’t know what the actual motion of my hand was, but I hit you, I did not punch you, I did not hurt you, you’re fine” and “just because I throw pots and pans at you doesn’t mean that you come to me after a fight” and yells at him to grow up, that he’s a fucking baby, when he complains that she punched him. She verbally and emotionally abuses him, on tape, for hours while talking about the physical abuse she inflicted on him. (I know this because I spent several hours listening to it with my own ears. Anybody who says the tapes are doctored or presented dishonestly to skew against ah are…. Well, incorrect.) You know what they say - when someone tells you who they are, listen.
That's not my point. My point is how the media is treating this trial as if it's reality tv and how damaging this is to victims of abuse. My point is the amount of heat Amber Heard is getting and how people are completely stripping Depp of any wrong doing, it's how much hate Heard is getting compared to other male celebrity abusers have gotten. It's how it's setting up this notion that abuse only looks One Way and cannot be different person to person. It's disturbing to watch. Plus, does Heard's emotional abuse suddenly negate the abuse she suffered? Do we not care about that at all? She was literally sexually assaulted by Depp. Do we sweep that under the rug because she called Depp a baby? Like. Abuse is abuse is abuse. Both can be abusers. Both can be victims. And honestly if we want to get into Heard's words and actions, have you ever been so fucking psychologically tormented that you fucking lose control over yourself? That has happened to me. It's fucking terrifying. But again, that's not the fucking point of it all. Depp televising this trial is setting up this new movement where if a woman speaks up about abuse she suffered, it's going straight to: she's lying, she's crazy, she's a narcissistic asshole, she's not to be believed, it's defamation of character. We see it already with Marilyn Manson vs. Evan Rachel Wood. We will see it within our own social circle, and women will continue to be abused.

also it's important to separate these two:
1. being a person with issues like an addiction and mental illness and in a result not being a good partner and making a relationship difficult
2. being a person with issues and not being a good partner/making a relationship difficult because you're abusing your partner
one is a consequence, the other is an action. one is an illness, the other is a crime.
