Almost 60 days No Poo

I just checked my calender, 58 days since my last wash with regular shampoo. And I actually wasn’t washing my hair with regular shampoo before that, I just had a momentarly collapse and break-down as I did a banana-hair-mask. I didn’t make the mask smooth, it had lumps in it and they just didn’t wash out! So I tried regular shampoo. The last 60 days I’ve been using different methods, I’v done a lot of egg- and banana masks (mixed properly until smooth!), sometimes WO, sometimes shampoo bars (or castile soap). Whatever I felt like. The banana and egg (egg yolk to be exact)- masks have been super! Clean hair and hydrated hair all in one!  In between washes, at night, I’ve used Aloe vera gel (about 9/10) and jojoba oil (about 1/10) on damp ends and slept with a side braid. The Aloe Vera gives moisture and the jojoba oil seals it into the hair shaft, but it’s light enough for my scandinavian hair. And you know what? I didn’t even realize that it has been almost two months! It hasn’t been that hard as it was before. Last time I started with No Poo/Alternative hair care I was set to only wash my hair once a week/only use water/use oil masks etc. It was much harder and didn’t work for me in the long run. To wash my hair whenever I feel like it, and with whatever method I feel like has made No Poo-washing part of my life with minimal effort!
