watching things with no fandom is so nice, like I'm the only one who thinks about these guys so I'm the only one Right about them and there's no one to contradict me. I'm like the niche fandom tyrant. but also sad because no friend 😕

Do you plan on adding the turtle's adopted mutant fish sister from that one episode? I fell like she neverwould want to help avenge splinter since he raised her and cared for her deeply.
I don't. If I did put her in, the fact that she exists at all would contradict almost all the world building I've set up behind the scenes for how mutation works. She is a wrench in the works- thus she can never exist in Residuum.

the reason why Through My Window is superior to pretty much all teen films today, aside from the attempted murder by pool chemicals and conspicuously safe if incredibly wild sex, is because while most teen movie heroines are like "he would never like me", Racquel literally gaslights this boy into falling in love with her; he begins the movie being like "you are stalking me, I would never like you" while she tells him to fuck off, and by the end of the movie he's running through the streets, crying, to apologize, because of shit that HONESTLY ISN'T EVEN HIS FAULT
Racquel is the girl I want young ladies to look up to.

fascinating how middle school made me miserable but i knew my mom would never let me change schools even though i cried and begged her (my education was important) so i gave up trying to tell anyone because i viewed it as pointless but it wouldn't stop alexis from shit talking me and having everyone dislike me because i was a certified freak at school

hey only fe fan i follow, how have you been liking engage? i've been torn because it has some fun moments and the characters are all great but the main plot is bonkers balls to the wall weird. but it's nice to have supports that aren't just someone trauma dumping for 15 straight minutes (i like 3h but its supports were sometimes difficult to get through) so i'm back and forth overall.
yeah, there are a handful of characters i like or find interesting and a few moments of actual earnest emotion scattered throughout the story but for the most part the writing is shallow as all fuck. i've read that this is the same writing team that did Fates, and it really, really shows - i know that this was meant to be more of a fun game celebrating the franchise anniversary than anything heavier or more philosophical/political (plus the devs are on the record as stating they wanted a "simpler" story so players could spend most of their attention on the new gameplay additions), but i really do think there's a much better middle ground out there than...what they ended up with, which mostly just smacks of minimal effort/resources. it's especially obvious with the quality (or lack thereof) of some of the support chains (and most of the emblem bond conversations, tbqfh).
i'm also not a big fan of the art style or the return of more overtly fanservicey designs, but the colors and smoother battle animations are nice to look at. and the gameplay is definitely fun, even if i have to turn off my brain for the story segments in between. idk, it's never going to mean half of a percent as much as awakening or three houses does to me, but i guess it's a decent enough time kill while waiting for what's next, possibly the rumored fe4 remake?

Thinks about denji & chainsaw man part 2 and how he “learned nothing” bc at the end of part 1 he’s still a kid who now has a very sparse support network and is likely taking care of the person who hurt him in the first place
Thinks about how I actively took care of and helped someone who used me bc I was, still, a kid and could not process how what they’d done fucked with me & how I felt that being upset wasn’t worth emoting bc they were vulnerable and needed help at the time

its that sequel thing that happens all the time. like in stranger things s1 vs. s2, where s1 just had the optimal cast for its story, but s2 had all the same cast members to juggle that they couldnt just drop randomly BUT suddenly the plot had to work to accommodate them. instead of the other way around.
lil different cuz zero escape the series has different characters in each game mostly, but like theyre beholden to the same number of characters each time. so instead of making the amount of characters that work with the plot and building them around the story, they have to build a story around there being a certain cast. 1st game is full of characters with motivation to be there, 2nd game is following formula, you know?
