ive had this idea for a deltarune swap au for a while now, where the darkners swap with the monsters in order of how they are in Undertale, and ofc i had to do a sketch sheet of the biggest GOOGH man you could possibly make. sans swapped with spamton g. spamton. the internet explodes. character analysis under the cut.

basically in this au, sans becomes a bloatware adblocker program, like McAfee or Norton, meeting you at the very start of the chapter and involuntarily signing you up to his "great deal i tell ya what," where he serves you to protect you from harm.

Throughout the game, the player's interactions with Papyrus (who swapped with Queen), no matter how perilless, is never helped by sans, who is consistently too lazy to help you. after any time the characters get them out of harm's way, sans'll just say "oh yeah there was danger there huh. i gotcha now." and then completely ignore you going directly into another death pit immediately after.

About halfway through the chapter, Sans'd let you into his store, where instead of spamton's rapidly fluctuating prices, he gives you items at an unreasonably high quantity and unreasonably low quality, shoving so much into your inventory that it overflows and breaks it. he subtly un-subtly tells you that he'd prefer you dead over alive this entire time, and you just have to move on.

Outside of game mechanics and storyline, his general Weird Voice Ordeal is that he speaks in puns at any chance he gets, some getting very cryptic and vague from the player's perspective. Also he has a cloud, floaty aesthetic so that lends to more puns on his part.

He also still recognizes his reality as being one of many, also knowing that the player has control over that ability.

so basically, Sans Undertale is the same Sans UNDERTALE we know and love, but forced into a Deltarune reality where everything is all a game and hes also a browser program for some reason. I thought itd be really fun to make him like this so i did. yeag.
