i am self-taught, yes
youtube is your friend, it's good for beginners. art station learning is good for advanced stuff.
#also copying other artists and seeing how they do stuff is a huge help#but obviously don't upload that#but it did help me a lot to develop and see what i like#but yes don't upload any of these studies and claim them as your own because that's stinky#or make it clear and tag the artist that inspired you if you do#and maybe ask the artist first if they are okay with you uploading a study of their work#some might not want you to but some probably are happy about it but asking first is always a good thing to do#also photo studies are great especially if you wanna go into the more realistic direction#ask
