YOUNGBLOOD - 5SOS: My review

⭐️⭐️⭐️Youngblood- I fw this song. I really liked the music video too. I wasn’t expecting this beatdrop when I first heard it tbh, it took me off guard. Its a good song to start off the album. Not my favorite but it’s definitely a banger.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Want You Back- I killed this song when it came out. I killed the music video. This song will always be my all time favorite. I’m so glad this was the first song they released off the album cause I think it was a great preview to how the rest of the album was going to sound like. I’m upset it’s so short ahshwbshh. The ending harmonies made my skin clear, I can see better, life is great. And Michaels guitar solo gives me oxygen.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Lie To Me- I really like this song tbh, makes me emo💀 but I don’t have much to say about it I’m sORRY.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Valentine- this song sounds real familiar, it gives me like mid 2000s pop feel, like when they go “I can take you out oh-oh” that oh oh part really gives me throwback feels.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Talk Fast- this song really makes me think of the 80s. It makes me wanna get up and just dance the night away ngl. This is one of the songs off this album that I’m preparing to play all the time. Honestly I want them to make a music video to this song. When the beat kinda changes and Luke goes “ringing the bell for last call” that part gives me so much life, like to me that part along with the beat really brings the song to life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Moving Along- I heard this song when someone leaked it and honestly I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. The beat kinda gives me “on the beach” vibes. I love when the best cuts out and all you hear is like the drum sticks falling and then the beat comes back in, like that part gets me all the time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If Walks Could Talk- One of my all time favorites. Like the chorus is what really gets me, and then how it transitions into the post chorus gets me hype. But honestly it’s the chorus that really makes this my favorite song. I wanna learn this on the piano so bad.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Better Man- definitely a late night beach vibe. I fw it. A summer bop for sure.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More- kinda reminds me of arctic monkeys do I wanna know, and then kinda like style by Taylor Swift. I love the chorus which is what makes this one of my favorites. I would love to hear this live and to see a music video to it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Why Won’t You Love Me- Damn just the title hits home💀 kind of reminds me a little of One Direction, maybe just the vibe of the song. I like it though, it’s catchy.

⭐️⭐️Woke Up in Japan- I like the beat of the song, it’s a whole vibe. Not my favorite if I’m being honest, but it’s a good song.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Empty Wallets- kinda like valentine, this song kinda gives me a early-mid 2000s vibe. The beat sounds kinda familiar but idk what it reminds me of.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ghost Of You- an emo bop. Ngl it reminds me of this worship song called how he loves, that’s probably why I love this song so much. If I ever hear this live I would probably cry💀💀 like that part that sounds like a violin would get me😭this song gives me like early Disney vibes like the ending credits of a dcom, also the melody behind the verses remind me of the song more than a band by lemonade mouth on God, like when they go “I never knew you could take me so far, I’ve always wanted the home that you are the ones I need” like go listen to that part of the song rn and then listen to this song and tell me they don’t sound similar like I know I’m not crazy Aahdbrjeje

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Monster Among Men- I love how Michael starts off the song, it just makes me so happy, also I love how the chorus is so different from the rest of the song, it kinda sounds like a video game then it goes all hard and rock and I love it. Like it just makes me so happy and I’m definitely gonna jam to this song all summer. And I’m glad it’s right next to ghost of you cause that songs makes you all emo and such then you have this song to bring everything back to a happy place💀

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Meet You There- This song makes me happy tbh like when the beat goes all crazy after the chorus, that part gets me lit. I would love to hear this song live so when that part comes I can loose my mind, that’s a whole mood, I can imagine Ashton going crazy on the drums and that would look so fun😭

⭐️⭐️⭐️Babylon- right off the back this song reminds me of that one song centuries, the one that the radio plays all the time, and I hate that song cause the radio killed it💀 this song is good though, not my favorite even though it seems to be a fan favorite🤷🏾‍♀️

Overall: I think this album was worth a two year wait, like they really worked hard on this album and I can tell. It kinda gives me a throwback feel but not to just one specific time, but to many specific times, which gives this album as a whole a unique sound and I love it. It’s their best album yet, like this album feels like they really did their own thing and didn’t give two fucks about what anyone said. This album definitely showed their unique side and it makes me so happy. I feel like so many people sleep on 5sos but they are truly talented and I think this is the album of the year 🤷🏾‍♀️
