Un día como hoy nació el legendario guitarrista George Harrison, el 25 de febrero de 1943 en #Liverpool #Inglaterra Quien estuviera cumpliendo 80 años. Harrison se hizo famoso por ser el guitarrista líder de The Beatles, quien con solo 17 años perfeccionó su estilo. Durante la llamada "Beatlemanía", Harrinson fue caracterizado como el "BEATLE TRANQUILO". El mítico músico escribió su primera canción en 1963, durante un día de convalecencia en cama, titulada "Don’t Bother Me", la cual aparece publicada en el álbum "With the Beatles" de 1963 y en su versión americana "Meet the Beatles" de 1964. Harrison, quien estuvo en los Beatles de 1960 hasta 1970, fue el cantante de todas las canciones compuestas por él en su etapa con The Beatles, además cantó temas de otros artistas. Luego de The Beatles Harrison tuvo una exitosa carrera como solista. Fue el primer músico en organizar un concierto benéfico, llamado "Concert for Bangla Desh", que se realizó en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York, el 1 de agosto de 1971, con el fin de recaudar fondos para paliar el hambre y la miseria de los refugiados en la antigua Pakistán del Este. Además, fue el primer Beatles en escribir una autobiografía titulada "I me mine", en 1980. En el libro el artista cuenta anécdotas de su etapa con los Beatles, pero se centra en sus hobbies, desde la jardinería hasta la Fórmula Uno. Album Number Three Hundred Thirty One. “On Tour with Eric Clapton” is a 1970 album by Delaney & Bonnie with Eric Clapton, recorded live at the Fairfield Halls, England. Released on #atcorecords, it peaked at No. 29 in the U.S. in April 1970, and at No. 39 in the UK, and was certified a gold record by the RIAA. My copy is an ATCO rerelease (but, not sure when that new album label started) - SD 33-326. The album features #delaneyandbonnie’s best-known touring band, including #ericclapton #jimgordon #CarlRadle, #bobbywhitlock and #davemason. Many of the players on this album went on to work with #georgeharrison on his post-Beatles debut album #allthingsmustpass and with Clapton on his solo debut. The horn players #bobbykeys and #JimPrice played on a couple #rollingstones albums. Whitlock, Radle, and Gordon formed with Clapton his band #derekandthedominos for Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.
