Spent yesterday hanging out with my sister @anne_hyphen_marie working on our hair! I got her hair all bleacher and dyed, and she bleached mine as well, but I decided to come home to figure out my dye, and settled on something similar to a previous dye - purple/blue/green! I love this ombre dye, but it just requires lots of up-keep. The Serpent

Are my bones shaking? Or is the world trembling? The cold feels like a flame. And the quiet sounds like a static orchestra- pounding against the concrete. Shoving indifference into my chest. I can't feel the hate anymore. Joy is a serpent coiled in the dirty leaves by the gutter. Hissing at the ankles of God when he stumbles past- drunk on the misshapen hope I've been throwing into the wind in the form of what I like to call, poetry. But it's really just prayers struck into the ether by a man that doesn't know what he believes anymore. I place my hand into the leaves. Wait to be bitten. Almost hoping. For the chance to feel. But the creature is all out of lies. I lift him up. His eyes sedentary and beginning to crater. The light of the Moon encapsulating his frailty. Low hanging fruit for the crows. Like the truth, the lies, the vibrant chaos he once flicked upon his tongue. I think about what it would be like to slither my way into a life like that once more. To be just as wild as a snake on the hunt. The leaves take him back from my hands, and I feel the cold. The eternal distance from everything bright. Even the light I see- only a reflection from the Sun. The crows are beginning to circle. All we know here, is hunger. And my eyes are heavy. I pray for the ignorance of sleep. I’m back?

Here I am, back again. Anonymously spilling my heart out to strangers. As much as I hate to admit it, it feels good. Kinda like you’re my therapist, which is weird because my therapist also only listens and doesn’t respond to me. Huh. 

I’m still lonely as ever, but it seems I have found a small community of people where I semi-fit in. It’s online, of course. Making connections in person is so much harder, I hate it. I also scored a new job, and I’m cautiously optimistic about it. My hopes get crushed and I get let down so frequently, it’s like I don’t want to let myself enjoy anything. At least that way, I won’t be super sad when it doesn’t turn out. 

So basically it comes down to- it’s a new year and I’m still my sad little self. Ya know, if you want to connect or chat or whatever, I’m a good listener. Or, if you have some helpful advice on making friends, and putting yourself out there, hit my line.
