Going through everything that Hunk’s been in in his existence has really put into perspective how not flashy and pragmatic he is. To the point of it being a huge character flaw.

Age of Wolves Reveal Stream
The reveal stream came and went way faster than previous streams which is nice, and we got some great news in-between. Also the patch notes, as well as a blog post about Parry changes are out, and I will be sure to link those in separate posts.
The winner of the tournament were the Vikings, so all players that are in the Viking faction will get a reward! I’m not sure when or what it is, so if you get a notification about it in-game, be sure to let your Viking friends know!
Also, any Twitch drops will roll out eventually. There were a lot of viewers, so it’s gonna take some time giving them all out.
Now, the big stuff. We finally got a look at the major reworks for Kensei, Conqueror, and Berserker. Also, we got a chance to look at the Faction War updates, the addition of the Refined Gear, the new level cap, what the UI will look like in the hero customization menu now that you can equip different effects to different emotes and executions, and the XP boost. Finally, to really tease us, we got a sneak peek at the Trials mode and the Arena mode.
Also, for all you PC players, dedicated servers will arrive for you on February 19, with the consoles soon after.
The Kensei reworks all relied around using the top heavies, since his top heavy finisher is their bread and butter. Not only were some animations reworked, but a lot of new things too. Kensei gets a pommel strike that can be feinted into from a top heavy to open up those pesky turtles, as well as the abilities to feint top heavies into side lights and side heavies. They also get a leaping heavy, for those enemies that like to roll away to avoid the unblockable. Some of the lights gain an uninterruptible stance, and hit faster, so you can trade off easily. They didn’t go into extreme detail, but Kensei looks very fun to play.
Berserker got reworks focusing on cracking turtles as well, including making the heavy finishers unblockable. You can also now deflect an attack without being forced to guardbreak, but you still have that option by pressing the GB button when you deflect. Another cool thing they added was a blue after image effect when using the side dodge attacks, to notify the opponent can’t dodge out of it. The Orochi will get this effect as well.
Conquerer got a huge overhaul so they didn’t just rely on the superior block. The also changed the charged heavy ability, so instead of two different levels of charged, it goes from uncharged, to unblockable. This is a very good move, but by removing the passive superior block, it’s also risky. Conq also got a new move, the Shield Uppercut. It’s a melee move that can be feinted into from any heavy attack, so you’re less vulnerable when someone side dodges you. This can follow into a light attack. Conq’s chain also got changed, so now you can chain a light into a heavy and vice versa, as well as into a shield bash, and then back into the chain. This is to counteract the typical Conq playstyle of “Heavy, bash, heavy, stop attacking” and to give players a wider variety of what to do. The full block stance is changed as well. It now has superior block, and when blocking an attack, you can combo into another new attack, Flail Uppercut, to punish predicted attacks.
After the reworks we get to learn about Trials and the Arena. Trials are similar to the tutorial we know, but it has the ability to teach more things to the players that normally wasn’t in the tutorial. It also includes a point and grading system, so if you get a high enough grade, you’ll get rewarded. Then, you can enter the Arena, where you can set up bots (or hopefully your friends) in a small duel arena to test out heroes, or learn to get out of certain attacks. You can preset combos into the bot so they’ll do them automatically. For example, in the stream, we saw the dev make the Warden bot only do the Vortex, so you can learn how to get out of it or counter it. This is a creative way to learn certain moves that stump you without having to go online to suffer through them.
Altogether, a cool, fun stream that also included content creators.

8/24 Livestream
A smaller stream today, but with some decent news.
Today there’s a hotfix that dropped today with a bigger live update coming soon.
This weekend is going to be a double XP weekend on all orders and events, so you might want to hold off on completing today’s orders and wait until tomorrow.
Along with the double XP weekend we’re also getting a Community Order on playing Dominion matches for 2000 steel.
No new content of the week, because this week non-season pass holders get the chance to purchase the new heroes and try them out.
There will be a For Glory Dominion tournament soon for PC players. I’ll look into where to sign up for those interested.
September 4th will be the live For Honor PAX stream, and will be starting 2:30 Pacific. This will be a Monday instead of the normal Thursday. You can find the stream on Twitch by looking for the PAX2 streaming channel. It will be on the For Honor twitch channel but you won’t be notified because this channel will be hosting the PAX2 channel.
Some updates on bugs and other things being worked on right now:
Gladiator dodge bug - apparently the Gladio side dodges are having some difficulties and are being worked on right now.
Conq RAH spamming is being fixed
Dominion bug where feats don’t unlock
When someone disconnects at the end of a match and it restarts entirely
Chip Damage bug where it kills people when it’s not supposed to
MORE AFK farming
Iron Legion color schemes
4 Execution slots
Browsing hero menu during matchmaking will happen this season
Controller remapping a first version will come this season while a more in-depth one will happen later on.
Highlander execution (the one where he swings at the other person with the guard of his sword) will now be able to ledge the dead body, more ledge-possible executions are being looked at right now.
There will be a live update next week and it includes:
Highlander guardbreak range bug fix
Cent heavy and charge heavy feints will now take more stamina (now you can feint 8 times)
Cent uncharged jab after a heavy finisher will no longer knock down players while Cent is in revenge, and the zone attack will no longer lose the target after the first hit and be unparryable when unlocked
Raider Stampede Charge sprint speed required to activate has been increased from 3 meters per second to 4 meters per second and when you trigger the charge has been increased to 700 ms. This nerf is justified because of what we saw in the tournament the other week.
Similar change to Shinobi. The slide attack has a speed requirement increase to 5 meters per second
Conq no longer falls when hit with a melee move when they’re in revenge (they changed this to every hero but forgot the Conq, this is fixed now
Kensei unlock bugs fixed. Swift Strike can no longer be unparryable when unlocked and can no longer rotate at extreme speeds when attacking.
Other unlock bugs are being looked at but they need more code and will hopefully be fixed soon.
Someone asked about what stuff we get when we’re moving from rep 30 to rep 40. The answer is just outfits that can only be unlocked by reputation.
There were questions about the Timesnap, which is what was deactivated to increase reactivity when pushing a button and making attack timing consistent. However there are some issues and it is being looked at.
Season Pass holders gain the Smoke effects for the Highlander and Gladiator, but the Smoke effect will be available for purchase for the other heroes, so if you own the season pass you still have to pay for the smoke effect on other heroes.
