i like how she mentions that caitlin adjusting to the wnba won't be cait vs. the world – she has a team behind her back. i'm really excited to see them play omg
I think Shakira Austin and Aliyah Boston are competing for the same USA roster spot. I don't see the selection committee putting both of them on the Olympic roster. I think they're only going to pick one or the other.
It's tough because I genuinely can't tell you which one of them is a better player. They're exactly the same in my mind but Shakira has more international experience.
And BG is taking Brionna Jones spot.
For the guards, I'm guessing it'll be the same as the 2022 World Cup guards but Laney is getting replaced. Who is she getting replaced by? Well, I guess we'll see...
Can we stop this narrative that players die in college.
NIL is not that the school pays them a salary they give them either free or reduced education and a meal stipend, NIL as the acronym stands for Name Image and Likeness- it only refers to brand partnerships and sponsorships,
DT stated that in women’s basketball player die in college as the turnouts for the WNBA aren’t as big as the turnouts for college ball, let’s change the narrative.
All of Clark’s partnerships will follow her to the league, the same way they did for Aliyah Boston, they will also follow Paige bueckers, Cameroon Brink, and the many other women who declared for the draft. If anything NIL is making it so they players can’t die in college.
We all just need to show up for the WNBA with the same passion we had for our favorite players and teams this year. Let’s make so players don’t have to go overseas let’s make it so the NBA had to expand the WNBA match up with the market. We have played the foundation 30 ish years ago let’s start to build the next floors and grow women’s basketball as a whole and not just the college side.
