i just finished rewatching red white and royal blue and i stand by my initial review that it's what a girl wants meets the princess diaries. the offebeat, quirky introduction to their dynamic, the frequent use of the instrumental soundtrack that has a vaguely magical feel, the restrictive nature of navigating high society, the internal struggle between one's duty to their country and to themselves, the stolen moments of romance amidst all the pressure, the press infiltrating that and trying to tear it down, uma thurman's queen clarice/lord henry dashwood energy, it has it all!!!!!
