Evil!Albert (who might not have ever met William & Louis) / Milverton when?
Sorry it's a thing I thought of and uh.
I might write it if I can get through ALL my ideas (Working title: Original Sin)
Put Milverton around the same as Albert. Make them interact in school. Make Albert the first person Milverton corrupts. It's so easy when the world is so wrong and Albert wants so badly to do good. It's so easy to turn those impulses towards destruction.
Albert and Milverton actually have very similar MOs, they'd be very powerful together

MANIPULATION and mind games are a favourite of their's. They twist and turn their words - coating their venomous sentences with honey to hide their true intentions.
“I love you like a grave loves it's corpse; you rot into me while I embrace your decay. Where else would you find somebody like me?”
They are more subtle and discrete than the rest. And yet, they're the most dangerous out of all. They mess with your mind - loosening your screws and bending you to their will.
You shrivel, unsure of how to respond. “I-” You look away, not sure where to direct your gaze. “I can't.. because there's nobody else like you. There won't ever be anyone else like you.”
They tip your chin upwards to meet your gazw, a victorious smile gracing their facial features. “You're correct. You never can.”
They play the role of a god - a saviour, something holy that it seems almost comical to expect something dark out of them. They scheme right under your nose and yet they're completely unnoticeable - so when you're finally their's and in their complete grasp, you won't even be aware of what hit you.

STALKING you is like second nature to them. They've memorized your sleeping schedule, when you get in and out of work or your educational institution, the type of food you eat and avoid, the places you frequent, etc.
They're on the more quieter side, similar to the manipulators. Yet, they won't initiate direct contact with you. Atleast not yet.
They watch silently as you move on about your day from the cracks of your doors or your windows, any opening that is accessible for them to get a view of you.
“Oh!” You gasp, bumping into somebody's shoulder as you get out of the subway. “I'm so very sorry! I didn't mean to—”
The figure disappears. You don't remember their face and all you have of them is now a love letter that appeared out of nowhere, the words written in blood.
You'll find remnants of their presence in the place where you live or go to work for/study. Footprints, gifts, shards of glass - etcetera, etcetera. Did they break into your house?

DEVOTION is the first word that comes into your mind when you look at them. They obsess over you like canines - clawing and sharp, salivating and perspiring. It's messy.
They find their God in you. For them, ichor runs in your blood and they lick it off your wounds like the nectar the divine consume.
They are the most violent, most agressive and the loudest of the three. They tend to be overprotective and all consuming.
Bodies are slit and stabbed, throats and heads are beheaded and cut, entrails are put up as if they were decorations or stepping stones for the things or lives it took to get to you.
“Nobody,” They begin, wiping away the smudge of blood on their upper lip. “Nobody can seperate you from me. I will crawl back to you from the devil's grasp if you call me.”

What does he do with them? You may be asking, well no one knows the answer to that and no one ever will.
He keeps them when he feels lonely and wants something which reminds him of you and also like he finds it almost humours that you're going home without any stockings on.
Also he's a theif at heart, stealing not only the lives of many and your clothes but also your love.
Louis James Moriarty:
His s/o probably left their gloves or something at his place and he say it one day and kept them to be more close to them yk.
Idk why that's the only thing I said in 3rd person but oh well.
Like he doesn't know if he should give them back or like tell you, but if you say that you can't find those gloves or something similar then he would awkwardly say he found them and he ment to give them back but it completely slipped his mind.
But yeah like he wouldn't do it on purpose just on accident kinda.
Albert James Moriarty:
This little rascal would probably take your underwear and tease you about it.
For example, the two of you were having a quicky somewhere outside of the house and when you were getting dressed he would steal your underwear either to tease you or as 'punishment' for something you did earlier.
He would later either forget about it or would keep it for good measure.
If you tried to take it back then there would be more ✨️teasing✨️.
I'm using that word too much.
Sherlock Holmes:
Maybe he keeps a pair of their s/o's underwear just to tease them but other than that I don't really see him keep anything of their's really yk.
Or like you left something in his apartment so to speak, and it stayed there forever ot until he moves out which is unlikely tbh.
John H. Watson:
He's not the type to collect or keep anything of his s/o's, if they leave something then he will tell them and give it to them.
Therefore I'm gonna say random stuff to fool you into thinking I actually put some thought behind this >:)
I'm listening to the phantom of opera rn cuz it's an amazing film, my favourite ones are the 2004 and 1989 I think Christine was great in that movie, I think Christine is great in both the movies tbh.
I also watched the 1925 one, it was a silent film which I definitely finished, but they did Erik so dirty in that one, like he had no mask, and in the 1989 version Erik literally killed someone with his face 💀 I wish I was joking I love that movie so much. But if you want to listen to some great music then I recommend the 2004 one but if you rather see rats and a random rat man then the 1989 one, it's amazing.

Something I never understood in moriarty the patriot is how no one realised that will and louis are clearly related.
After william took on that name he was officially alberts biological brother while louis is the adopted one but why didn't anyone raise any suspicions?
And I don't mean like milverton because he only found out that william is not actually the real william by piecing together puzzles and after reading those court documents. Not by looking at him and louis and figuring they look more similar than will and albert do.
Both of them have blond hair, red eyes and the same face (even if you ignore the fact that it's an anime their faces surely must look alike as siblings) meanwhile albert is the odd one out in this case.
Idk but the fact that milverton figured out the truth isn't so impressive, even if I didn't know the backstory of the moriarty brothers I would have figured that out by simply their design.
Maybe it would have been better if louis had a different color palette (not saying that his isn't good in itself)

William pretending to have been born a noble strikes such a chord with me tbh, especially after rewatching part 1 episode 4, the grapefuit case.
The scene where the woman whose child died is glaring at him, and William finds out it's because she hates nobility for the things that they do to the poor. And this is far from the only example of something like this happening to William. It's not always inherently negative or hateful, but even when simply talking to lower class people, they're often taken aback and shocked that William is kind with them, concerned about them, talking to them.
William grew up his formative years an orphan, and only got out of it by the sheer luck of being in the right place at the right time to meet Albert, and for Albert's biological father to want to adopt an orphan.
That puts William in an interesting spot.
He understands what it's like to be poor and starving, but he can never admit to it, lest he give away that he's not the original William James Moriarty.
So, he's never really a part of the lower class ever again. And this certainly comes with a shit ton of wealth and privilege- enough to murder on the reg and get away with it- but then there's the nobility.
For the most part, he completely despises the people around him. Some, like Albert, managed to become exceptions, and now Albert is a beloved brother to him. Most, fall flat. At best they are arrogant and rude, regularly talking down about the same class William himself was once a part of, while William has to smile and nod along. At worst, they are murderers, and he will do away with them.
I think that's in part why Sherlock stood out to him so much. Of course his intelligence played a huge part in that as well, but it's established that Mycroft imitates an upperclass accent in order to assimilate, whereas Sherlock keeps his Cockney accent.
Sherlock is also flippant and refuses social standards as he deems fit, down to the way he dresses, leaving out the tie and unbuttoning most of his jacket. He's pretty blunt (although he can also keep a secret), and doesn't rein in his emotions unless the situation really calls for it, whether that's his sheer delight to see William on the train or his irritation. He can control himself, as per the scene from the manga where Milverton is in his apartment for negotiations, but why should he unless it's important?
I think to William, Sherlock was someone else wedged firmly between the class divides, and I also think Sherlock had a sense of freedom that William envied.
William felt forever stuck playing a part, whereas Sherlock was unabashedly himself 24/7.

I wandered a lot about William and Milverton's possible relations and that was when I also realized that while the Moriarties had agents at the police (Patterson) or at the MI6 (Albert, Bond, Herder, Moneypenny), they didn't have an agent at the media world. Ruling the news would've also been an effective way to guide/manipulate the people, so it would've made sense to have an agent in a powerful media position, too. In my headcanon, William even had someone in mind... the pre-villain arc Milverton.
In my Milverton origin story headcanon, I mentioned that after the young Milverton's family got killed by a noble (when he as a lower-class, idealistic journalist tried to reveal the truth in a murder case what got commited by a noble, but a commoner got framed for it), he met with the child Liam on the street who suggested him to blackmail nobles into letting him make a newspaper for commoners, and fight for the good cause through corrupted methods like they do. While Liam truly wanted to help the lost and hopeless young Milverton, he also had it in mind to make him his agent in the future. But later, he realized that he made a great mistake: Milverton was emotionally unstable, who didn't just hate nobles, but started loathing commoners, too, for turning their back on him, when his family needed help, so the pain, the blackmails and manipulations he tried to make the country a better place with, slowly corrupted his soul and gaining more and more power, he turned fully evil. When Liam gathered Moran and Fred to finally start with their plan, he already knew that he lost Milverton as a possible agent.
William partly blamed himself for Milverton turning into a villain and for a while, he was unable to face with this mistake and destroy him - that's why while he knew about Milverton's evil ways, he didn't plan on staging his downfall, like he did with nobles. Only when Milverton started targeting William and later when the Whiteley case happened, decided to act. The night when he went to kill him was painful to William and he even backed up for a moment - that's why when Sherlock arrived to the scene, Milverton was still alive.
Due to seeing one of his possible agents fall that way, he was afraid that it can happen to the others, they can cross the line, too, if they are using evil as a way to fight for the right for too long. That's why he made sure with Louis, that after succeeding with the Moriarty Plan, they will act on the side of the law, too (the promise what Moran broke when he went rogue for the years of the Great Hiatus).
When it comes to Milverton, when he read about child Liam's court case in the Merchant of London Arc, he realized that it was indeed William who suggested blackmail to him as a method to deal with injustice back then when Milverton was still on the good side. He found it really ironic that they are now enemies - at the same time, he felt betrayed, too, because he was always grateful to child Liam whose advice he viewed as the first stepping stone for his current position. That's why while he wanted Liam to get arrested, he also wanted to make sure he gets a comfortable prison - as a form of thanks. The night when William went to kill him, before Sherlock appeared, William and Milverton finally faced each other again. William confronted him and listed his crimes, asking why he turned his back on justice and became the person he despised when he was young, while Milverton just laughed and replied this:
"That's just the way of this society. The ones with power can always use the people as their toys, as they please, you know this well - you play this game, too. But unlike you, I'm not doing this for personal reasons, oh no. You ruin nobles for your so-called good cause, I ruin everyone no matter what their status is - in the end, isn't that me who is on the side of equality?"
This is one of my favourite headcanons I came up with, because it makes the face-off between the William and Milverton so heartbreaking. I really want an AU where Milverton stays on the side of the good and work together with the Moriarty group.

I think you could probably go either way with Milverton & polyamory. I'm excited to see what you choose because I can definitely see him being cold and not giving a shit because he sees Albert as his toy? So as long as Albert still comes to heel when told, who cares? OR I can see him being horribly possessive -- not about sex because obviously Albert using Louis was part of their plan, but over Albert's love, and very much getting in the way of the Albert/Louis.
And YEAH OH MAN the idea of Albert hurting many people just like his father is oh wow. That could be some powerful writing. I love where you are going with this.

Oh god, these questions were harder to answer than I expected, once I sat down to think about them 😆 but here goes:
1. Favourite Character (s)
I’d love to say something quirky or unexpected, but honestly it’s a toss up between William and Sherlock for first with Louis close second.
William // I think to take a villainous character from an existing story and write them from a perspective which makes them as relatable and their intentions as understandable as William’s is absolutely brilliant. William is a character who I find more interesting and more wonderful the deeper I delve into him; it feels like there’s constantly a new element of him that makes me go 🤯 and I love this. I also find that I relate to him in certain ways, too. I think he’s very cleverly written so as to have many different facets of his personality which are relatable.
Sherlock // I love how Sherlock retains a lot of his original ACD character traits but also has specific elements which make him feel as though he very much belongs to Yuumori. I think his flaws and vulnerabilities are written honestly and again in a very relatable way, and I find myself also relating to Sherlock but in a different way to William. He’s funny, too; I will always gravitate to characters that make me grin or laugh aloud when reading ☺️
As an aside, I find it difficult to separate both of these characters for first spot because it’s also their relationship and connection which I adore in Yuumori; I feel like amidst a backdrop of drama, life and death situations and change on a grand scale, it encourages us to celebrate the joy of the everyday, specific ways we connect with other people and find things in common.
Louis // I enjoyed Louis’ character in the manga, was drawn in by the soft and gentle aspects of his character brought out by the English VA in the anime, but Ikkei Yamamato’s portrayal of him in Morimyu sealed the deal for me. Louis’ balance between his vulnerable and honest emotions he wears on his sleeve for William mixed with the stoicism and guardedness he strives for the remainder of the time intrigues me no end. He’s a character I’d love to explore more in writing, too, especially post time-skip. I think it’s sometimes overlooked how he, in the end, clung on to his composure and strength where William and Albert crumbled, and how he probably makes an excellent leader, but I think the anime stopping where it does is to blame for this. He’s very much my go-to type of character.
2. Favourite Arc
Wow this is so difficult because I absolutely charged through the manga when part 1 was already complete, so a lot of it blurs into one big mess when I think about it haha. I would maybe have to say The Final Problem arc, as the way suspense was built during this had my heart absolutely racing. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to be a monthly reader not knowing the fate of the characters for months after that fall. The Two Criminals is perhaps a close second, because I thoroughly enjoyed Milverton’s character and almost wanted more of him vs. William/ Sherlock. When Sherlock ate that sandwich and drank that tea like he gave zero shits about Milverton’s little game, it did things to me. I think it was the moment Sherlock’s position as joint top favourite character was cemented 🤣
3. What I’d like to see as another OVA
I mean … I feel like the Durham Date is kinda the ultimate here, right? 😆 I would love to see this animated. But also, the storyline where William is kidnapped in earlier chapters is a favourite. I love how it shows William’s absolute dedication to his goal — he shrugs his mistreatment and injuries off as if they’re nothing, not caring for his own well being providing his plan succeeds. But not only this, his damn acting. I was so worried for him when he was shouting for Louis in the carriage, my heart was in my throat, only for him later to be like 😏 everything went as planned. When I realised he’d played me, the reader, too, I was shaking my fist at him (affectionately 🤣). I would like to see this performance animated, thank you.

Crack Mycal AU and they're the main characters. Also governemnt Conspiracy AU.
-Basically, Albert becomes the Lord of Crime by himself (with a small convo with Little Liam before he left like I said in my Domestic Life AU).
-He actually just exposes the scandals, conspiracies and rumors that the Upperclass made for themselves.
-Albert and Milverton have a sort of Rivalry with one of the Being a Lord of Crime who exposes wrongdoings mysteriously and Milverbitch is the King of Blackmail.
-Mycroft is more of a working role as he needs to control the population from the growing paranoia. He doesn't want a revolution in his hands.
-Mycroft and Albert officially met at a masquerade ball with them awkwardly flirting (with Fred and Moran slapping their foreheads).
-Mycroft was so smitten that he doesn't even consider that the handsome colonel he met was the one behind his current problem.
-Liam (he took Sherly's last name) expresses concern for an oncoming revolution and asks Mycroft find the mastermind before it's too late.
-Louis also helps Mycroft because they are sort of friends too.
-Albert then finds out that Holmes Family also have a huge secret but since he likes Mycroft already, he already has his silence.
-Then more stuff comes and it ends with Mycroft permanently deletes Albert Moriarty from the public and they have new lives together.
-(Oh yeah their Reichenbach Fall is different and it's just a massive shootout/swordfight on the Big Ben while it's a thunderstorm).
-Idk what to add, I just want an AU where we have Mycal as main ship.
-I also don't know what to name this AU, please suggest.

AN IDEA TO MAKE SENSE FOR MILVERTON'S WRITING IN TWO CRIMINALS
While I was writing my analysis on Two Criminals, I've got a sudden idea about what could've actually been behind Milverton's plan:
What if it was just a way to stage his own death and get off the scene?
Of course, there is the question: why would he do it after all of the energy he put into researching the Lord of Crime (and building up his own playground in London)? Something might've happened what made him realize that this case with the Lord of Crime is too big to handle for him. Maybe what he did with Whiteley had bigger consequences he calculated and he learned that not just William, but even the government - Mycroft - is after him now? Or that was the time when he learned that Whiteley got the blackmail papers from Albert, the leader of the MI6, and he suspected that the MI6 wants to hunt him down, too?
There are lot of possible reasons for this and there's still the question if Milverton can be scared off like that. Well, he definitely can - remember, he wasn't present at all during the Scandal in the British Empire Arc when he surely learned about papers getting stolen and could've easily track them down and then get them some way - but he didn't want to. He most likely realized that that case is just too dangerous for him, he is a coward after all.
He felt in danger, and decided that the best he can do is to "die" so started his preparations for the play: inviting the Lord of Crime and Sherlock Holmes over to witness his death, while he wore something bulletproof (his carriage is shielded - maybe he got some similar protection for himself, too). The reason why he actually needed them to be there to make sure all his possible enemies know he is dead: the Lord of Crime, through him, the MI6, and through Sherlock, Mycroft - and Sherlock can also work as a trustful witness to tell about his death to the police so they won't research his death case further.
He calculated that both William and Sherlock will turn against him and one of them will try to kill him: with turning his back to them was a way to minimalize his injuries - wearing something bulletproof is not a guarantee for not getting any injuries at all, just not lethal ones. Then he fell into the sea, swam out and reunited with Ruskin - who went upstairs before leaving the house just to check if everything is according to plan.
And what's with Milverton's last action: publishing the Lord of Crime's identity? The reason behind this can be both because he found it amusing - his hobby is exposing people - and to get back to the Moriarties, even if just in a petty way.
Milverton can be still alive somewhere - his body was never found, and the police didn't say they found Ruskin's corpse either. Maybe he felt threatened to the point where he saw his only way to escape the most radical option: staging his death, leave the country and start a new life elsewhere as Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
This really was just a sudden idea what is quite fun to play with - and even if it doesn't make sense from a certain viewpoint, it's still more sensible than Milverton's inconsistent writing in Two Criminals.
Edit: I need to add a few days later that this was the point when I went wild with my inconsistent thoughts. If there would be no internal monologue from Milverton in Two Criminals, it would be possible, tho.
