#ahhh I love that we're psychoanalyzing Katsuki on this fine day

Oh! Follow up question to the other one: We know Bakugou’s personality would be practically the same. But would anything- other than his personality(?)- change if he were to he adopted by a couple of Pro-Heroes? (god- he would probably turn out so much stronger. I can practically hear the explosions already…)
Hmm, it would definitely depend on the type of people the Pro-Heroes are!
I honestly can't even imagine the sheer strength that Katsuki would have if he were to have started such intense hero training at an even younger age... I already have trouble understanding how he doesn't end up being the #1 hero in Horikoshi's canon world, let alone in an AU setting where he's got extra guidance and proper in-depth training.
I guess it would all depend on how these Pro-Heroes interacted with Katsuki. He doesn't take advice from superiors lightly - he already believes that he's the best and that he knows best, and everything learned from everyone else were merely suggestions that he made the conscious decision to adapt to become better, rather than because he respected the person giving him the suggestion.
Katsuki is so fucking smart. Analytical, a problem solver, someone with outstanding critical thinking skills, who is quick on his feet and reckless with his decision making and how he chooses to execute What Needs To Be Done, no matter the cost or the consequences. He's self-righteous and yet at the same time incredibly self-sacrificing.
I think a good example of someone who he respects, yet someone who doesn't get all up in his face or try to be buddies with him, and some people you can compare your Pro-Heroes to are Aizawa-sensei and (while they've never met canonically, I don't believe) Miruko.
While Katsuki admires All Might, I sometimes get the feeling that he doesn't really... like him? Ahaha, or that he gets annoyed with him sometimes! I get the sense that he admires All Might's courage, his inability to back down, the way he always always comes out on top and wins!
But All Might, or more specifically Toshinori, has tried on many ocassions to reach out to Katsuki. To comfort him while he's crying, to try and say all the right things, to help him understand some of the things haunting him, and yet (despite a brief consideration following the Deku vs. Kacchan fiasco) Katsuki isn't all that receptive to his outreach.
He pushes Toshinori and his advice away when he failed his first training module, he reprimands Toshinori and Deku multiple times for their obviousness, their ignorance, and their obliviousness when handling certain situations, and while it probably means a lot to him that Toshinori has given him some really nice compliments, he doesn't ever actually acknowledge them or - more likely - accepts them. It's like meeting a lifelong role model only to find out, oh, they're a human being as well, just like me, with flaws and annoying traits who make mistakes and have things they also need to work on to become better.
But his relationship with Aizawa-sensei is so very subtle, so drastically different, and I appreciate it so much - I know Aizawa-sensei does it on purpose, because despite their somewhat lack of interactions, Aizawa-sensei wholeheartedly stood up for Katsuki during the LOV situation, implanted trust in his student that he was a hero and nothing less.
When Katsuki first came to Yuuei, he was already running on confidence-fumes following the disheartening reality that his quirk wasn't enough to save him from the Sludge Villain (that there are, in fact, forces in this world more powerful than himself. That he isn't invincible).
One of the scenes I really love is when they're at training camp, and Aizawa-sensei specifically chooses Katsuki to re-throw his ball from their exercise during the first day of school. Katsuki does, and his world is knocked off its center when he's barely made any progress at all in strengthening his quirk. All that training, after six whole months and one sports festival later, he's still somewhere along the lines of being back where he started.
I believe Aizawa-sensei did this on purpose. To show Katsuki that he's already powerful, but that if he wants to get better, wants to improve and be the best, then he needs to work even harder or the results just won't be there. Aizawa-sensei watches from the sidelines. He doesn't meddle or intervene, doesn't try to lecture Katsuki about who he is and why he should change (like Best Jeanist tries to do). He knows Katsuki is who he is, and he also knows that he doesn't have to soften up to be a great hero because Aizawa-sensei himself is not friendly or smiley with the media or anything like that and even still he manages to be an incredible hero (one of the very best, in my opinion), but that he recognizes that Katsuki is fighting with himself moreso than he's fighting with anyone else, and that's where he tries to help him the most.
I think if your Pro-Hero family wants to have a positive impact on Katsuki, they need to be accepting of his attitude, open to his way of thinking and how he chooses to express himself, because any form of resistance or adament need for 'change' will no-doubt just lead to conflict and more internal spiraling that would probably only entice him to push them further away. I really think that's why he struggles so much with Deku. Because he doesn't want to change. He likes who he is. He wants to be a foul-mouthed badass AND the most amazing hero the world has ever seen, simultaneously.
I don't mean to toot my own horn here or anything, but I think I did a fairly good job of covering a lot of Katsuki's internal thoughts and behaviors regarding how he interacts with his parents and his friends in Hail to the King and Queen (at least that's what I've been told by some readers) so that, along with the fic mentioned in the previous ask regarding Katsuki's relationship with his parents, I think should give you a decent look into the mind of what it would be like to Successfully Raise Bakugou Katsuki and how those influences might be affected depending on the way your Pro-Hero parents end up treating him!
I hope this helps as well! I'm really excited to read it when you're done! 😁
