This Regional Event was planned in conjunction with Veterans IN Farming and will focus on Veterans in Agriculture. Tuesday and Wednesday will be workshop sessions that will include topics on business planning, getting your product to market, land access and estate planning, farming with a disability, and resources, programs and benefits for veterans. Thursday will consist of tours of veteran-owned agricultural businesses. Lunch will be provided. AgrAbility is a program sponsored by the US Department of Agriculture that provides assistance to farmers, ranchers and other agricultural workers, and farm family members impacted by disability, illness or chronic conditions. The program is funded through a competitive grant process for one National Project and State/ Regional Projects (currently serving 20 states). Each project involves a collaborative partnership between land grant universities and various non-profit disability services organizations. A nightly rate of $127 is available at the Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Airport through 5/9/23. You can reserve a room by clicking on the hotel name. Echo de menos ser besado.

Yo sé que es cursi escribirlo, decirlo, lo que sea... pero, al despertarme hoy por la mañana, extrañé en exceso que alguien presionase sus labios contra mi mejilla y me diese los buenos días. En un inicio, mientras me peinaba, pensé que quizás esa sensación se esfumaría a lo largo del día, pero no, por supuesto que no, todo lo contrario: fue en aumento. Cuanto más cerca estoy al trono, más aislado me siento, y yo sólo quiero volver a ser abrazado, ser besado... que me digan 'te quiero' sin usar palabras. Un poco ridículo, ¿no? No me importa si parece estúpido, si soy demasiado pegajoso, me encanta que me agarren de las mejillas y me llenen la cara de besos.

Ayer estaba diciendo que me molestaba cómo Bastián me trataba como si yo estuviera hecho de cristal, y parte de eso lo mantengo, sí, pero estaría mintiendo si dijese que no me encantaba cuando me trataba como si fuese la cosa más preciosa, delicada, que jamás había visto. Decir que era tierno sería quedarse muy corto, pero no encuentro palabras suficientes para expresar lo que me causaba ver a un hombre tan alto, grande, y con ese semblante que está muy lejos de provocar confort, tomar una actitud tan frágil — o quizás siempre fue así, sólo que yo no conocía esa faceta suya y por eso andaba siempre tan sorprendido. Bastián me resultaba, en realidad, suave en todos los aspectos posibles, lo cual parece no tener sentido porque no es lo que te imaginas al pensar en alguien suave, pero él lo era. Es un charlatán, un embaucador y tiene cierto complejo de dandy, le encanta bromear, fastiduar, y chinchar, pero, a la vez, hace flores de papel, se recorrió todo el instituto para hacerme limonada de fresa cuando yo estuvo enfermo, y le rasca la barriga a su gata todos los días, pero dice que no está consentida.

Me han besado muchas, muchísimas veces, sin embargo, aquí estoy ahora, sin poder recordar cómo se sentían los besos anteriores a los de Bastián.

¿Es muy vergonozoso que pueda describirlos al detalle?

Sus labios son... no exactamente suaves, sin embargo, su tacto se sentía así: agradable, ante todo agrable. Tiene el labio inferior un tanto más abultado que el superior, además de un pronunciado arco de Cupido precioso que hace que la forma de sus labios sea... sea... no sé ni qué decir, son labios hermosos. Incluso sintiéndome traicionado puedo notar mariposas cada vez que recuerdo cuando me tomaba de la cintura y me besaba — ni siquiera importa dónde, el mero contacto de sus labios contra mi piel me derretía. Echo de menos besarlo. ¿Por qué todo debe ser tan difícil? Sólo quiero abrazarlo, y que me abrace, y nunca más separarme de él.

Mi nur ĝuas esprimi amon al kaj al aliaj

Me gusta ver reír a las personas, las arrugas en la piel y cada marca que se dibuja entre las oraciones. Esa alegría de estar que llevan en sus voces... es agrable verles vivir, mientras se sueltan de la rutina.

Sobre eso la verdad no me agrado mucho como lo iso, osea lo pude aber bloqueado y listo asunto arreglado, pero ahí no queda la cosa, las demas personas no me verán de una manera agrable y ya sabemos como terminan esas historias, por eso decidí consultarlo con womchi, ella una vez cuando estábamos en una colaboración de dibujo( no me acuerdo como chucha se llamaba) , hablamos y ella me dio todo permiso y asta hablamos de lo bonito que era , pero parece que eso lo llego asta ese sujeto, si va a tirarme hate y hacerme quedar mal ante womchi, que almenos no lo aga como anonimo, a eso es lo que me voy

Como me pueda ver , ya que si cuentas un cuento mal, pueden ver mal a los personajes equivocados, ese era mi punto al mostrarle eso a womchis, ya que almenos asi se aclara la cosa

Con todo esto ojala puedas tener todo claro y no tener alguna duda mas

Si de mis dibujos debo de mejorar , aveces uno se desvia de su camino pero siempre podemos comenzar de nuevo

Aang smiles, and looks up at Rahmi, curled around Zuko’s neck. Zuko’s eyes follow his gaze.

“She’s settled,” he says. “For real, this time.” He has a tender look in his eyes as he scratches Rahmi gently.

The question comes out before he can stop himself. “When?”

Zuko contemplates the question. “When I saw my Uncle again, something just… fell into place inside me. I felt like I was home.” Rahmi leans into his touch, content. “I haven’t felt this way since I was a kid.”

Dolma chirps for Aang’s attention, and Aang pulls her into his chest. “Yeah, I understand that.” He’ll never be able to have that idyllic home of his childhood again, but he can still honor it. He can still rebuild it so long as he hangs onto it, and never lets go.

Maybe Guru Pathik was a little wrong. Some earthly attachments are necessary. Some are precious, and some are beautiful, and some are so treasured and foundational to him that he could never let go, not without losing himself completely. He needs these attachments, just as they need him, to honor them, to give them life and hope and rebirth. History is never dead, so long as he harbors it inside him.

“You, too?” Zuko asks, watching Dolma snuggle into Aang’s robes, the Air Nomad beads shifting against Aang’s chest.

Aang nods.

“How did it happen?”

“I don’t know exactly,” Aang replies truthfully. “But after I took Ozai’s bending, she looked at me and told me that she was settled.”

“I’m not sure about the exact moment either,” Dolma agrees. “But I think it was when he almost overcame you. I had this feeling in me, like I was digging my heels in.” She turns her face upwards. “They’ve already taken so much from us. And I thought ‘no more’ .”

“No more,” Zuko echoes. “I’ll help you make sure of that, Dolma.”

She watches him quietly, before flying away from Aang’s hands. Aang lets her, and she lands on Zuko’s other shoulder.

“I know you will,” Dolma tells him, leaning against his neck. Neither of them startle in discomfort, and slowly, Zuko brings a hand up to ruffle her feathers fondly. A calm washes over Aang.

Together, Zuko and Dolma look like a matched pair. Her feathers are almost the same color as his scar, Aang notes, a bright scarlet juxtaposed against a faded one. Dolma is the daemon of the last airbender, the first peoples to die under the hand of fire. The first casualties in a war that created men so cruel they’d place their burning hands upon their children. And now, there’s a man with a scar in front of him, next to a daemon scarred by the same legacy, and they look alike, in a way. There’s something magnificently terrible about that, but there’s something about it that’s poetic, that’s right.

It’s what Zuko said. It feels like home.

Aang -- Dolma (Tibetan name meaning "mother of liberation", named for the Bodhisattva Tara, who has many relevant associations, one of which is the mother of mercy and compassion), Northern Cardinal, intersex form. Zuko -- Rahmi (Indonesian name meaning "mercy"), sable-sparrow.

HIGHLY recommend reading that wiki link, because dolma, as a name, means so much, almost all of which is very relevant to aang. also, aang's daemon is intersex due to his status as the avatar. she is generally feminine with masculine aspects -- for example, she has male plummage. she's also a non-hybrid daemon, like azula's, which is a sign of power. once i thought about the northern cardinal i couldn't really let go. there's a lot of wonderful symbolism surrounding the bird too -- signs of life, messengers of the spirit world, etc. -- and while it's not asian symbolism, they're connotations to keep in mind. sorry i went off there about aang's daemon, but there's genuinely a lot of cool symbolism! as a red bird, it seems more chromatically similar to the fire nation, which is kind of a product of how ozai almost overwhelmed him during the energybending scene, but as a perching bird, it's 100% a classic air nomad daemon. overall, aang and azula's daemon concepts are really some of my favorites. (creds to @kuchee for azula's daemon form though!)

zuko's is a fairly nice form, too. sables are a type of marten; they're fantastic hunters and very resilient. but the sparrow aspect mellows that out and makes zuko a fairly agrable person. the combo is not too interesting on its own, but sables are a type of predator animal, and sparrows are a type of prey so... it's supposed to be a bit symbolic of zuko's eternal internal conflict.]
