Did you know that the famous captain Vrungel was planning a 3D game from the Action Forms company.
The game was considered a sequel to the cartoon. From 2006 to 2009, the game was developed and then canceled due to the crisis.
The video material belongs to Rostislav Garbar and Dima Pichu.
But I contacted one of the developers of the game. And it turned out that at one time the game was made and handed over to the 1C company, and that was all.
With the Scrap, I was lucky with the palette, I found the markers that came across-they were light blue, pink and yellow.
Well, I also finished the details and Voila, perfect and perfect
Well, I chose with Fuchs for a long time and found something and it was light green, purple and yellow
Well, how not to forget the Great Christopher Bonifatievich Vrungel? Yes, I chose the perfect markers (shades of blue and blue)
And what can I tell you, my suns, do not forget to find an easy way out of the storm and get out dry, will always be cheerful like Dr. Livesey, resourceful and persistent like Captain Wrungel, happy and carefree like Banana Splits, Never despair like Willy Fog,Have a strong and serious character like John Silver and always defeat evil like super heroes from comics and novels. Why am I saying this? I've heard a lot of such statements as "I can't", " I'll never do it", "I won't achieve anything", "I'm nothing", "I won't become as cool as others". So, my friend, I'll tell you this-never, Do you hear? NEVER GIVE UP! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING! I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU WILL SUCCEED! YOU DO EVERYTHING AND YOU WILL BECOME BETTER! GO AHEAD! CREATE! DO IT! REJOICE! LIVE! LOVE! DREAM ON! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING! I BELIEVE IN YOU!
I hope that I helped to cheer you up on this difficult day? Come on, don't give up
Exactly at 18:15 on March 24, 1980, the first animated series in the USSR, «Adventures of captain Vrungel» began showing on central television.
When I first watched this cartoon, I was 9 years old. Cartoons about the adventures of captain C. B. Vrungel and his glorious crew of the «Trouble» taught me to always find a way out of any situation, to be resourceful and to show some kind of courage!
I really adore this cartoon and cannot miss the opportunity to celebrate the 45th anniversary of this wonderful cartoon! Why not?)
Happy 45th anniversary, «Adventures of captain Vrungel»!
Some illustrations by the cartoonist and art director Radna Sakhaltuev for an edition of Adventures of Captain Vrungel using the cartoon designs, I don’t know the date in which this was released.
The cover, in which Archibald Dandy looks very different:
Vrungel in civilian mode:
Banditto and Gangsteritto. Though the latter was made up for the cartoon, both he and Banditto had become so beloved in the series they pretty much had to include them in this edition of the book, so they show up in illustrations throughout in the background or standing in for one-off antagonistic characters:
Not a big fan of Fuchs’s design here, but he’s still very cute, such as in this depiction of the Equator-crossing ceremony:
Another cute Fuchs:
And another cute Fuchs:
Lom looks much less uncanny, though, which is great, but this picture of him with chiseled abs feels very weird lol:
Vrungel yelling at a child for not knowing all the nautical terminology:
The figure on the right is probably meant to be Admiral Kusaki, the book’s antagonist who wasn’t included in the show, since this character shows up throughout the art, so this is the closest thing to an official design for him:
Lom and Fuchs being very tender while Vrungel’s off to the side being very exhausted:
If you want to find the rest of these images, I have to warn you in advance that some of the illustrations, particularly in two chapters that were removed for the English translation, are very racist in how they depict indigenous people (and boy am I glad it didn’t pop up in the show), though strangely the text itself, which would’ve been written some 50 years before these illustrations were made, is not quite so terrible and I’m sure it was pretty nice for the 30’s, but that just makes these artworks baffling for how outdated they are in comparison, like, how do you do that…
