Victoria's Secret aposenta Angels e coloca as VS 20 em campo
Filme e show serão transmitidos ao vivo na plataforma Prime Video
Em 2019 a Victoria’s Secret cancelou seu evento anual das Victoria’s Secret Angels e modelos. A decisão aconteceu em meio ao fortalecimento do movimento de empoderamento feminino #MeToo. Desde então a empresa veio perdendo terreno para a concorrente Savage Fenty que apresentou campanha e desfile com conceito de diversidade.
Nesse contexto a Victoria’s Secret volta a apresentar um desfile no próximo dia 26 de setembro. Da mesma forma que a Savage Fenty, a empresa vai fazer uma transmissão ao vivo na plataforma de streaming Prime Video.
Parte desfile de moda e parte documentário, o filme e a transmissão ao vivo vão apresentar 20 influenciadores de várias partes do mundo. Esses criadores, o grupo VS20, vem de cidades bem distintas entre si: Bogotá (Colombia), Lagos (Nigéria), Londres (Reino Unido) e Tóquio (Japão).
O filme vai reunir expressões em cinema, moda e arte. Doja Cat é a artista que vai conduzir a parte musical da apresentação ao vivo. Modelos como Adut Akech, Hailey Bieber, Paloma Elsesser, Sui He e Emily Ratajkowski já estão escaladas para o show.
Simultaneamente a marca vai lançar os produtos dessa coleção no marketplace da Amazon.
A mudança no branding da marca fica marcada pela mensagem de empoderamento feminino, onde um grupo de mulheres influenciadoras e poderosas estão substituindo as Angels de Victoria’s Secret.
