Hresvelg family shenanigans

It's a headcanon of mine that Edelgard's immune system is suppressed a bit because having 2 crests puts so much stress on her body. So she'll get sick more often, take longer to recover, and she really struggles to process alcohol.
That's an entirely valid headcanon ! Even more so because I had the same but for Aline- she gets sick a lot but it slowly gets better as she heals. She uses that as an excuse to get a sick leave from her job as the gardener in Garreg Mach to slip away unnoticed and go to her little sister's coronation actually. xD Aline's particularity is that she's got a "half" minor Crest of Seiros- Adel once had a full one but TWSITD split it of sorts. She slowly loses the ability to use it as Adel heals, but it takes her longer than him for her hair to go brown again.
Personally, I had kind of taken the opposite road for Edelgard, because i wanted to see how the crest experiments affected the siblings in different ways- my guess was that her immunitary system was too strong, which has its own problems. So Aline's too weak, El's too strong. And since Aline hates having to stay in and not being able to move around since she took several months to even be able to stand up again after the experiments, she's always really grumpy when she's sick (mad at everything that breathes, really).

Edelgard isn't big on physical affection in my stuff, due to her trauma. The list of people she'd comfortably accept even a hug or shoulder pat from is very limited. Just Hubert at first, then adding Dorothea (I ship them so hard), then adding Byleth after that. Ana and the kids are on that list too of course, but they don't come into play until after the war. Lysithea and possibly Hapi are in there somewhere, but I haven't figured out where. Beyond that it would be tentative at best.
Your thoughts?
Thanks for asking !! ^^ I agree, it'd take a lot for her to be comfortable with physical affection, even more so public displays of affection. She would accept it in some measure of capacity from her closest allies in my opinion, her partner (any flavor of Edeleth is still my favorite personally) and her family. I also do agree that she'd be more open to being physically affectionate with people who have gone through the same thing as her- they would understand on a deeper level. But how would that affection look like, especially between siblings ?
I think an underrated form of physical affection for Edelgard is hand holding, both romantically (with her partner) and platonically. And this is of particular significance regarding Loki, her younger brother.
See, growing up with TWSITD, Loki never got a lot of physical affection. But suddenly finding himself in a safe environment with people he could trust not to hurt him, his siblings, allowed him to become more and more physically affective. Although he was once touch-starved, he is now incredibly big on getting hugs or any other firm of physical affection, no matter the reason. With Aline and Adel, this isn't a problem. He can go up to them and whine about how he wants to be carried bridal style and he will be, especially if he asks Adel.
But then... that makes it all the more complicated in regards to El's trauma. A good compromise they found is Edelgard holding Loki's right hand. This is very emotionally significant to them because Loki's right arm is burnt and that's definitely his weak spot, which he takes great care of (and which he amputates after the war in favor of a prosthetic arm). As such, he's always incredibly wary of people touching it. I don't picture Thales as being physically abusive often (since he "raised" him) but that's definitely been a pressure point in the past- so Loki only lets people he deeply trusts hold his right hand. As such, he literally places his trust and love in Edelgard's hands. The first time he allowed her to take his right hand was actually when he accepted to walk her path with her, when she reached her hand out to him while he was having a mental breakdown over everything he had been told having been lies.
Another form of affection they both have is Edelgard giving her cape to Loki when he feels down so he can burrow himself in it.
Aline and Adel themselves have pretty heavy trauma regarding the experiments. Aline has done a tremendous work to reclaim her own body and accept her scars, especially by changing her vestimentary style and discovering that she loves wearing short dresses instead of the most covering and conservative ones that the Imperial etiquette advocates for- and she has also needed to be physically available to comfort her younger surviving siblings. For instance, she often holds her brothers or runs her hand through their hair while they wait to fall back asleep after a nightmare. However, although she is okay with physical affection, she hates being taken by surprise- if you touch her shoulder when she's not expecting it, you would trigger her fight or flight response- and she will punch you in the face out of pure instinct. And she will rarely be the one seeking physical comfort.
I have to say though, I am NOT impartial to Aline softly taking her sister's face between her hands and kissing her on the forehead in Edelgard's darkest moments. Or gently holding both of her hands in hers while their foreheads touch.
Adel meanwhile would be the one most prone to hugging Edelgard, but he makes a big effort not to. They're the two siblings most uneasy about their scars and they both cover up a lot to hide it- a way he would show Edelgard physical affection is by holding her by the arm while they walk around, trusting her with where they're going (since he is blind).
And finally, Siyn. Siyn struggles a lot with bodily autonomy for quite some time, and with the way she sees and treats her own body. But after the war finally comes a time where she can start treating it as something other than just a tool for fighting. This is also at this point that she becomes Edelgard's partner. I have a feeling they would take it very slow, and slowly become more physically comfortable with each other- and while Siyn would absolutely respect El not wanting too many physical displays of affection, I'd love for them to get to a point where they can proudly walk out holding each other's hand for comfort. Maybe even kiss in public. In private, they would take to cuddling more often. No matter the romantic partner El ends up with (if she does end up with someone), they would still have to take it extra slow regarding any form of physical affection.
What's really interesting is that I'm pretty sure that while she would allow Hubert to hug her or something, he probably wouldn't feel the need to. xD Ferdinand would probably be more inclined to hug the both of them out of the blues and while they'd feel uncomfortable, they'd appreciate the gesture. They'd need to set some boundaries, too. I do agree that Edelthea would also do pretty amazing in that particular domain. I have a feeling that early on at the Academy, Dorothea would have understood that Edelgard wasn't comfortable with physical affection, and Edelgard slowly opening up to her would make for some incredibly sweet moments between the two partners. I'd love to see it !!!
I'll share more thoughts if my brain stops being jelly at some point=)

As we know, Lysithea rarely fails to mention that her two crests have shortened her lifespan, and it is an understanding of mine (and many others) that Edelgard will likely suffer the same fate. Two data points does not a survey make, of course, but going off what Lysithea describes, I don't expect Edelgard to live far past 25. Almost certainly not to 30.
(I always figured this was one of her reasons for believing war was the best option actually, despite the casualties it would cause. To paraphrase a well known galactic senator, the wheels of democracy turn much too slowly.)
Is this something you've considered in your work, and how have you and/or the characters dealt with it if so?
My solution was to have her second crest surgically removed before it could take her life.
Absolutely, I do agree that Edelgard's lifespan is shortened- I'd headcanoned less so than Lysithea's, but like 30-35 max. I also do agree that that's probably one of the reasons which edged her towards a full-on war that would change things a lot more quickly than reforms she wouldn't even be able to verify would truly be applied.
This is a problem Adel and Aline also face, given they've gone through the same experiments their sister did. However, Adel's surgery (which split his crest between the two older siblings) was unstable and the effects started reversing on their own, albeit oh so slowly; for instance, his hair which was stark white in White Clouds slowly regains its light brown color during the five years of Byleth's absence. At the same time, Aline's physical forces replenish by a lot, and although it's a lot slower, her hair will eventually grow dark brown back again after the war is over (although she will always keep a few white hair due to stress).
For Edelgard and Lysithea, I had adopted the same solution as you did- surgically removing the Crest before it can take both of their lives away. Them being able to do so that fast stems from Linhardt and Hanneman's collaboration with Loki and Agarthan health professionals.
After all, it's important to remember is that Loki was raised to perform this kind of blood surgeries and experiments- which was incredibly traumatizing, but also left him with a lot of knowledge on the matter. He doesn't know what he wants to do with himself after the war; but what he does know is that he wants get justice for as much people who fell victim to TWSTID as possible, whether that means healing them (if they're still alive) or identifying the anonymous victims so their families can get closure. The tons of research he makes during and after the war to pursue that endeavor is quintessential in saving Edelgard's life.

Aline and Adel, like some of their other siblings, used to call Edelgard El. However, after the experiments, they all silently agreed that this nickname now mostly sounded like a grim reminder of what they had just lost and stopped using it. After some time and healing, they started calling her Edel instead - and as such, that's the only nickname Loki has ever known her by.
Both of her older siblings were very pleasantly surprised when she allowed Byleth to start calling her El again- but they still mostly keep using Edel now.

You mentioned that you tend to work through a Nobody Dies lens. Does that apply to Dimitri, and what is his relationship with the Hresvelg siblings?
Thanks for the ask !! ^^ It took quite some time for me to make up my mind about this specific thing and yes, that lens does apply to Dimitri. There's a few reasons to this decision, which I need to recontextualize a bit in regards to the Hresvelg siblings:
I'll start by this: Aline and Adel do not consider Dimitri as their sibling at all. This isn't due to the fact that they are not related by blood (they both have different mothers than Patricia), but rather because they have basically never met before the Academy nor developed a meaningful relationship during their time there. Both of them always had in mind that they would end up betraying and declaring war on everyone in Garreg Mach, and that Dimitri would end up being one of their fiercest enemies as King. Moreover, Adel has never liked him because they are both faced with very similar mental health issues and he has some internalized trauma that he doesn't like to see reflected in someone else. As such, if it had only been for the two of them and Edelgard, Dimitri's death, although incredibly sad and unfortunate, could have been a logical conclusion to his arc in Crimson Flower.
The real issue here is Loki. For some context (although I just linked his character sheet), he is Patricia and Lambert's kid and since their couple was already Going To Shit™ by the time he was a toddler, he mostly stuck to his older brother's side. However, during the events of the tragedy of Duscur, during which he travelled with his mother, TWSTID decided to abduct him rather than kill him, and raise him to be a puppet with a legitimate claim to rule Fodlan in case Edelgard ever decided to rebel against them. And although he got brainwashed by his uncle Thales/Arundel, he never forgot about Dimitri and deeply wished to reunite with him; this also means that when he first got to meet with and learn about the existence of the rest of the Hresvelg siblings thanks to Kronya (I'll go over this in a later post) as a young teenager, his whole world was completely shattered. Long story short, that led him to join the Hresvelg siblings and get to be part of a family again. However, Loki never once forgets about Dimitri, on the contrary: realizing that Edelgard and him are on their merry way to fight each other to the death only amplifies his wish to see him again after all those years and convince him to make peace with her, because he just wants to have his whole family back and alive. As such, seeing any of his siblings die would absolutely destroy him.
That means that Dimitri could survive in Crimson Flower. and if he doesn't Loki might never recover. But then, how so ?
Sadly, it is in my own opinion unlikely that Edelgard and Dimitri could ever see eye-to-eye and become allies, even with Loki as a middle ground. Especially since Loki doesn't care for the Kingdom per see and feels a lot closer to his Agarthan culture of adoption and his focus is on bringing TWSTID down. Any attempt at discussion would just end up being a repeat of their Azure Moon talk at best, because their world visions are just too different.
This entails that any of Loki's attempts at convincing Dimitri to make peace with his sister would be unfruitful. First, because Dimitri would've thought Loki had died a long time ago, and finding out his little brother is alive would be a pretty big blow: but you know what would be an even bigger blow ? Finding out that he was raised by and thus, helped TWSTID, the same people who are responsible for the genocide of Duscur and their parents' death. And that he is still technically helping them by standing at Edelgard's side, the very person who betrayed all of them. The only way they could rebuild a stronger relationship would be if Loki decided to join his side, something that he is unwilling to do since A) he has three siblings on the imperial side and B) all four of them are planning to take down TWSTID. Unfortunately, this means that all of Loki and Dimitri's interactions post-timeskip end up in disaster- although none of them ever physically hurts the other in battle. This depresses Loki quite a bit, and enrages Adel, but he eventually accepts that he cannot take responsibility for his older siblings' actions and settles on one goal: keeping them from beating each other to death.
However, Loki brings something new to the table regarding Edelgard and Dimitri's relationships: memories. At his contact, El makes the connection and remembers the time she spent in Faerghus with the prince, which does make her take a step back. Although that is definitely not enough to make her negociate, it is to make her consider sparing him in battle- a bit like how in-game, Claude can be spared. Her unwillingness to back down from her ideals, though, makes it absolutely necessary that Dimitri is removed from any position of authority, else he could always rally support against the Empire. The Kingdom of Faerghus as a geopolitical entity may survive, but the Blaiddyd monarchy needs to go.
So... Where does that lead us ? To a rather bleak solution which is far from perfect, but has to make-do in their complicated circumstances where both sides can't meet in the middle. Edelgard agrees to spare Dimitri in the battle of Tailtean, and lets him go- letting Loki take the lead on this one. This means that Loki has to accept that he might never see him again, and that he might never forgive him. This can turn one of two ways:
I do believe that if Dedue survives and hasn't turned into a demonic beast yet, he can convince Dimitri to go without pulling a stunt similar to the one Edelgard pulls with the dagger in Azure Moon in a last desperate attempt to kill the Empress, because he still has him to cling to.
Otherwise, Dimitri truly loses everything and everyone: in which case convincing him to seize the opportunity to stay alive would be pointless. In that eventuality, Loki forces his hand and just teleports him out- making it impossible for him to make it back to the battlefield before all is lost. Which... is an even bleaker alternative.
In any case, that means that the Hresvelg siblings and Dimitri have to cut contact, at least for a good number of years. Maybe someday, when Fodlan (and especially Faerghus) is rebuilt, they might get in contact again- once both Loki and him can have some time to heal. Maybe slowly rebuild a semblance of a relationship, who knows ?
... Well damn. That was a BUMMER and incredibly angsty. Sadly, not all things can have the best ending for everyone involved. =(
=D Thankfully, Claude and Edelgard's relationship would be a lot better- no fucking thanks to Aline !

Your Hresvelg OCs are really cool
Thanks so much !!! They think you're cool too =)
Here's some random facts about them as a way to thank you:
Loki's white glove is actually one of Edelgard's old ones from when she was at the Academy. He absolutely hates having blood or anything vaguely resembling bodily fluids on his hands hence his always keeping it on, because it triggers his trauma since he was taught to perform surgical operations from a young age
He probably gets Edelgard the most out of the siblings and vice-versa. They both get the feeling of being raised by their abusive uncle in order to become a monster destined only to fulfill others' goals, and they both feel the guilt of the deaths on their shoulders more intensely. Through each other, they feel they earn their redemption -and are reminded of their hard-gained free will.
Adel was the one to teach Edelgard how to waltz. He still thinks Dimitri's dancing skills are pathetic
In turn, he teaches Loki how to dance. It's a pretty emotional moment for both of them
Loki has a portrait of Dimitri from White Clouds on his desk, alongside a portrait of him and the rest of his siblings
Kronya was actually the one to tell Edelgard about his existence, and they took a few years to find him. Without Loki, El wouldn't remember Dimitri all that well. She's not sure how she feels about the whole ordeal or the fact that one of them is probably bound to kill the other. Mostly, she still feels emotionally detached from her memories in Faerghus and doesn't dwell on her feelings
Loki's favorite tea is chamomile because he remembers it as Dimitri's favorite.
Adel insists Edelgard call Mirabelle (his wyvern) her niece. She goes to the others for support. They tell her she's just a bad aunt
Over the course of five years, Aline really starts to care about the Golden Deer and she loves them a lot. Betraying them comes as a heartbreak.
However, she will never call them "friends" in the meantime because she knows exactly what she's going to do to them.
Aline hates Ionius and once threw her late mother's funerary urn at his head
Aline's mother couldn't bear to see her surviving daughter in such a poor state. When she first saw her after the experiments, it was too much for her and she ran. The toll this all took on her already declining health killed her. Aline never forgave her for what she perceives as having abandoned her in her time of need.
Loki doesn't give one fuck about his dead parents. Their couple was already going to shit when he was a kid so they weren't the best parental figures. He mostly clung to Dimitri
Adel and Aline make an effort not to bitch too much about Ionius in their little sister's presence. But for all they know he abandoned them and didn't do jackshit to save their siblings and them
The imperial dress code is pretty strict and covers a lot of skin. Aline first started wearing short dresses as a way to rebel, not feel invisible, and show off her scars and what she has gone through. Also throw it in Ionius's face.
Conversely, Adel hides his scars. He struggles a lot with tje idea of anyone seeing them
Loki wears his black glove as a way to protect his burnt arm. But he doesn't have any issues with people seeing it on the occasions he takes it off.
In a stressful situation, however, he will always clutch his arm to his chest because he knows it's his weak point

It's Adel's turn =)
Thanks @onyxedskies for the fe3h oc template

Character Info: Adel von Hresvelg
Names and aliases:
        Name (English): Adel
        Full name (English): von Hresvelg
Biological Information:
        Gender: male
        Race: Human
        Birthday: 18/10
Fodlan birthday: 18th of the Wyvern Moon (which is pure coincidence but also Amazing)
        Age: 20 before timeskip - 25 post-timeskip
Relatives: younger brother to Aline von Hresvelg , older brother to Edelgard von Hresvelg and Loki Blaiddyd von Hresvelg
        Nationality: Adrestian Empire
        Hometown: Enbarr
        Residence: Garreg Mach Monastery
Factions: Imperial army/ Knights of Seiros (formerly)
        Occupations: Wyvern Knight, brother
Backstory:
Early Life/Academy phase:
Adel was born with a minor Crest of Seiros, and is the child of Emperor Ionius and one of his noble Adrestian concubines, who always cared more about her status than her kid. As such, his relationship with both of his parents has always been strained and he's been mostly raised by his other siblings. As a kid, he was absolutely obsessed with wyverns- and he also became pretty good at waltz, which he taught to Edelgard.
The experiments he went through with his siblings left him blind, and he lost part of the power of his crest, which was transferred to his then-crestless sister Aline. He started to suffer from schizophrenia, which he takes medication for.
At the start of the game, Adel gets entry in the monastery under the false identity of Adel von Hrym as a part-time Black Eagle student, part-time intern in the Knights of Seiros, in order to see who he could possibly sway to his sister's side- a time during which he develops a friendship with Alois.
After the events at Remire, he finds an orphaned baby wyvern close to the village and finds out she's deaf. He adopts her and names her Mirabelle.
He betrays the Church along with Edelgard at the Holy Mausoleum, regardless of whether he has been recruited to another class.
Timeskip Phase:
Even if he has been recruited, Adel sticks by Edelgard's side and fights with her. In the meantime, his hair, which was white during the academy phase, begins to regain its natural light brown color.
War Phase:
During the war, Adel fights as a member of the Black Eagle strike force. He also has a dislike for Dimitri, since he sees too much of his own struggles with his mental health in him, but they are on opposite sides of this war. The fact that Dimitri is also Loki's older brother adds to the uneasiness he feels at their being so similar. If a golden route existed in FE3H, Dimitri and Adel's support conversations would probably address that issue.
Post-Canon:
After TWSITD are defeated, Adel keeps helping his siblings out as much as needed. He opens his own animal sanctuary, mostly aimed at wyverns and former military wyverns, but he welcomes any other animal.
Personality:
Adel has always tried to be the funny older brother, at the same time as reliable; that sometimes causes him to put his own feelings of unrest and depression to the side in order to lift other people's spirits. He also struggles with not feeling good enough to protect his siblings, although he constantly works on that feeling.
He is a kind person, sometimes a little snarky, and he absolutely hates spending time cooking, something which he only does for the people who are very close to him. At first, and as result of his trauma, he struggles to understand why anyone who knew why Edelgard is doing what she's doing would disagree with her, but he ends up making peace with the knowledge that even though the Black Eagle strike force might think that this war is for the best, other people who are impacted and/or victims of this situation might live it very differently. His support with Aline would be centered around making peace with that fact, something she has already accepted long ago.
Gameplay:
it's better for everyone's sanity if i don't try to do stats i know nothing about ; but he's a Wyvern Knight. His physical defense and speed are pretty strong.
Recruitment:
He is recruitable to other classes during the Academy phase, but just like Flayn in Crimson Flower, he will desert to join the Empire at the Holy Mausoleum.
Gift List:
Pretty sure he'd love any kind of food you threw his way. He'd dislike gifts related to the Goddess though, because he has stopped believing in her a long time ago.
Meal List:
The dude likes pretty much everything- he does have a weak spot for soups of any kind.
Lost Items:
Red neckerchief: an old neckerchief, dyed a vivid red color.
Red and gold earring: a red and gold earring that looks familiar.
Reins: reins like the one people would use to ride on horses or wyverns.

Choir Practice:
Boooring… anyone wanna slip out of here and go grab some ice cream ?
Cooking:
I'm only doing this because it's you.
Counselor:
I wish I could do more for my allies. Sometimes it feels that all I do is bring them down.
I'd like to get along with some former enemies who have changed sides recently, but I am still upset with them, even though I know this is irrational. How do I get over this resentment ?

Stable Duty (with Edelgard):
Adel: Horses are really just wyverns without wings, and I think that's a shame.
Edelgard : Does everything have to be wyvern-related to you, Adel ?
Adel: I thought you knew me better than that, Edel. Of course everything needs to be wyvern-related to me.
Weeding (with Aline):
Aline: Did you know some of these weeds are edible ? It's fascinating, isn't it ?
Adel : Really ? Actually, that sounds pretty rad. Think you could make something of it ?
Aline: Probably. I'll read up on some recipes.
Sky Watch (with Loki):
Adel: Hold on tight, princesse !
Loki: I trust you and Mirabelle not to drop me to my death.

That was a close one !
To the next one !
 Sorry about that.
 Great job, Mirabelle !
 I'm glad this is over.
It’s time they got what they deserved.
Ally Defeats Enemy:
That was cool !
Need a ride ?
 I'm glad I don't fly solo !
  Stay on your toes !
 Way to go !

Thoughts/headcanons about Lysithea, especially in relation to the Hresvelg siblings?
I need to think about it more than I do
Sorry for the late answer !! ^^ That is a very good question and I am ashamed to admit that I havent been giving it as much thought as I should have either xD
I guess this ties into how the Hresvelg siblings react to their trauma and to other victims of TWSTID in general. Aline is pretty particular because she served as a spy in the Alliance during the timeskip- so she knows Lysithea. Although she refuses to qualify their bound as one of "friendship" since she knows she's just gonna end up betraying the deers, she cares a lot for them. My guess is, she already knew about Lysithea much like Edelgard did- and she ended up sharing the fact that she had fallen victim to the Slithers as well. My guess is they don't talk that much about it though.
I guess Adel would be similar in that he wouldn't share a lot of his trauma with Lys. I'm not even sure he would approach the subject, which is rightfully very triggering for him, but he would be otherwise friendly to her. He'd respect Edelgard and Aline's wishes to pursue a real relationship with her but in order to preserve his own mental health, he wouldn't make the extra step himself.
Loki is in a pretty particular position, since he wasn't a victim of the experiments himself - but rather, he was trained to perform such experiments. That's a whole other can of worms, and although he is very aware that he was brainwashed and that none of what he was forced to do as a child was actually his fault, he still feels some guilt and a sense of responsibility. He makes it his duty to heal anyone he cane, and bring closure to the families of those who have perished. That's why he would actively seek out Lysithea and Hapi to collect as much information about their ailments as possible, so they can best find a cure - but that could prove rapidly overwhelming and uncomfortable in spite of his good intentions. He would highly respect Lysithea's magical skills, too, maybe he would even admire her a little !

Siyn I see your WIPs and would like to request your Hresvelg siblings snippets. When you get a chance of course
YES OF COURSE I'D LOVE TO TALK ABOUT THOSE
I haven't touched this doc in a while, but basically, it was intended as a way for me to work on the dynamics and characterization of my fe3h OCs back when I had just created them. Most of those snippets date back like, 3-4 years I believe.
It was a mix-and-match of whatever I felt like writing- incorrect quotes, more serious stuff - and retrospectively, the characterizations have changed a reasonable amount. Most of it is still accurate, though !
That being said, I scrolled through the doc to find the funniest snippets to share with you. Please forgive the grammatical mistakes I was too lazy to rectify. xD Also, due to the limit of 15 images per post, I went crazy tryna cram it all on Canva. Have fun trying to read this =D

        Nationality: Faerghan, Agarthan, Adrestian
        Hometown: Fhirdiad
        Residence: Garreg Mach Monastery
        Factions: Imperial army/TWSITD (formerly)
        Occupations: gremory, little sibling, researcher
Backstory:
Early Life/Academy phase:
As the name indicates, he's related to both the Hresvelg and Blaiddyd families, though he is actually the son of Lambert and Patricia and possesses a crest of Blaiddyd. During the tragedy of Duscur, he was in his mother's carriage and got abducted by TWSITD: but instead of outright killing the kid, they decided to raise him as one of their own, as a way to have a royal replacement with a semblance of legitimacy in case Edelgard turned against them too soon and they had to get rid of her. However, even though he was forced to do terrible things at the hands of TWSITD (namely experiments) from a very young age and was essentially brainwashed by them, he never forgot his older brother, and deeply wished to be reunited with him. During his eight/nine years amidst their ranks, he basically became a child soldier, as well as good at magic: however, he also suffered a major injury under mysterious circumstances which left his right arm badly burnt. As a result, TWSITD came up with an artificial relic, his glove, which channels the power of his Crest and boosts his magical attacks instead of his physical ones- his favorite spell being an altered version of dark spikes (basically the only one he’ll use).
Timeskip Phase:
A little after the start of the war, Edelgard manages to learn about her little brother's existence and reveals to him the manipulation he's been subjected to his whole life. Though still in the clutches of TWSITD, who he now really wants to see dead, he sides with his newfound family (Edelgard and the other Hresvelg siblings), never giving up the hope to see his older brother Dimitri again- and trying very hard to prevent him and Edelgard from killing each other. Along the way, he learns again what it is like to just be a kid-and to be a sibling.
War Phase:
During the war, Loki sometimes fights along his siblings on the battlefield (as support), mainly when there is a chance of his older brother Dimitri being present. He spends a lot of time trying to convince him to join Edelgard’s side, to no avail, before he understands he can control neither of his siblings’ actions  and he will never have the family he wants; as a last ditch effort, though, he will save Dimitri from death in routes where he would usually die.
In the meantime, he tries to get his hand on as much info about TWSITD’s victims and the experiments they went through, and tries to develop ways to heal them- or at the very least, honor their memory and find the families of the deceased.
Post-Canon:
After TWSITD are defeated, Loki takes the time to heal and takes the radical decision to chop his right arm off and start wearing a prosthesis. He also abandons his relic-lite glove, since he wants to turn that page of his life and doesn’t intend to fight anymore. Later on, he moves to Faerghus with Aline, where they help rebuild the Kingdom and he becomes a teacher at the Fhirdiad Magic Academy. In parallel, he puts in a lot of work in order to help the Agarthan people recover from TWSITD’s influence and find their place within the rest of Fodlanese society, as well as promote the Agarthan culture (I refuse to think that all Agarthans are evil after 1,000 years; my personal headcanon is that Agartha is an authoritarian regime ruled by TWSTID. Furthermore, I really want to see an underground light festival where everyone wears makeup inspired by the constellations and stars. I can do what I want.)
Personality:
Loki is a very smart kid, but his life experience has led him to become very distrusting of adults and other people in general. As a rule, he is a pretty sarcastic person and is cold to people he does not feel uncomfortable with, to the point that he often lashes out at them undeserved. However, he is also someone who deeply wants to do good, and is sweet and caring towards those he trusts- as well as a massive sucker for hugs.
His gender expression, but also his makeup, is a way for him to express his personality; he starts using more colors post-canon as he is more and more at peace with his life.
As a result of his trauma, he suffers from selective mutism; he also hates having blood on his hands, and has a knee-jerk reaction to having anything slightly dirty or reminiscent of blood on himself.
Gameplay:
it's better for everyone's sanity if i don't try to do stats i know nothing about ; but his class is Gremory. He excels in Science, and his magical attack is by far his highest stat; he is decent in faith and in magical defense, however he absolutely sucks at everything else. His physical defense is six feet under, further impeded by the fact that his right arm is an obvious weak point for any enemy.
Recruitment:
Since he doesn’t appear until post-timeskip, he isn’t recruitable.
Gift List:
Plushies are a sure hit.
Meal List:
I’m guessing Agarthan alimentation is pretty different from the reste of Fodlan’s alimentation, so he keeps expanding his tastes as time goes on, although he might sometimes have a knee-jerk reaction to it. He loves lemonade though.
