i was wondering who the people who perform the c-side songs were who were credited in the behind the scenes clickbait video so i checked the wiki but they weren’t there
SO i took some time to translate them all myself (which was an interesting process, found a website called jlearn that has a kanji search by radical that lets you select multiple to narrow it down, then as i identified them i kept doing searches in vgmdb until i got the full names matched) (tbh i should’ve found a kanji recognition app to just draw them in on my phone, that’s what i did on my kindle fire when i translated a few pokespe chapters 10 years ago. would’ve gone faster i’m sure)
and then i added them to the wiki (except the engineer because he’s not really a band member idk)
Male Vocal: Yoshimasa Masukura (増倉 義将)
Female Vocal: Miki Aihara (会原 実希)
Guitar: Yohske Yamamoto (山本 陽介)
Bass: Ryosuke Nikamoto (二家本 亮介)
Drums: Hideki Aoyama (青山 英樹)
Engineer: Ryota Gomi (五味 涼太)
fun trivia: miki aihara arranged a song for pokemon koko (”the hum of the forest”), yohske yamamoto played guitar for the pokemon xy ending “doridori,” ryosuke nikamoto played the bass for xenoblade definitive edition, and hideki aoyama played drums on triangle strategy’s soundtrack
that’s the first time i’ve edited inkipedia since i made the page for the original splatnet 7 years ago (it released in japanese first but the wiki didn’t cover it, so i started putting something together and then it launched in english and i was ready for it immediately)

Nizista So What? Interview Part 1
Here is part 1 of the Nizista interview that was released a few weeks ago, still working on the other parts (5 in total) so look forward to those!
Anyway here it is!
(Note: Bold headings are the theme of the following questions, italicized text is the interviewer’s question and the text in block quote is Azusa’s answers.)
The hardest part of the shoot was the heat?
Thank you for your hard work during the shoot. First of all, please tell me about your impressions on the shooting of the first scene in the car.
Tadokoro I don't own a driver’s license, so I would normally be sitting either at the passenger's seat or the back seat, and I also don't really think I fit the image of a driver so I was astonished (lol).
No no, I think you managed to fit the scene perfectly.
Tadokoro I was able to take a good scene because of the advice I received, but if we were to talk about the first take..... The feeling of riding a car is amazing (lol).
The "discarding" of the car you were in was a symbol of [The me up to now] or [The restrictions that were holding me back], wasn't it.
Tadokoro That's right. Using and discarding a broken down car, and the reflection of the ideal me afterwards ----- as I advance/move towards the me who's in the band.
Did that also become the theme for [Story Teller]?
Tadokoro That's right. The contents of this song was focused on [Paving a new road for myself]. The feeling of being excited and looking forward to the future is wonderful, and there's the word [旅(Journey)] in the lyrics so we thought that a car would fit the song's image perfectly.
Since the you that you are advancing towards is the you in a band, does this synchronize with your own activities as an artist?
Tadokoro I decided to stop moping and instead be excited and look forward to my future endeavors, is the part of me that I think has grown, so there are definitely parts that synchronize.
You have done a lot of recordings with the band members, have you gotten accustomed to it?
Tadokoro We are able to match each other without saying a word, so it felt like being in a big boat together. We got the OK on the first take for most of the scenes this time as well. We haven’t performed this song live yet so it was our first time playing it together, but even then we were still able to match each other and that made me feel really happy.
Certainly, there weren’t any failures during the shoot.
Tadokoro Because everyone was ready to collapse due to the heat, the feeling of, “We’re doing this in one take!” was apparent in all of us. That might have also made our concentration levels go up (lol).
This time’s outfit uses blue as its base and has a unique style to it.
Tadokoro The outfit has a ‘handsome man’ kind of style. It was really fashionable with the combination of many different pieces of clothing, and it was nothing like the outfits I’ve worn before that so it was a new experience for me. Just that……… it was very hot and that made things a little difficult (lol).
What were your thoughts on the abandoned factory that was used as the location for the shoot?
Tadokoro It had a wild feeling to it, it also had a unique atmosphere and was really cool.
By the way, do you like things like abandoned factories and ruins?
Tadokoro If you were to ask whether I like them or not, I haven’t had feelings like that for it hit me before (lol). But, it was a peaceful place, and there were frogs outside so it was fun to take a walk around the place.
Everyone was searching for frogs weren’t they. Speaking of that, did you do that when you were small?
Tadokoro That’s right. I grew up in a place with a lot of greenery so I was familiar with frogs. I’m bad with insects, but if it’s frogs then I’m okay with them.
In Tadokoro-san’s MV, there was another persona representing “The new me” or “Another me”. Is it something that you’re conscious of and striving for?
Tadokoro That’s not what I intended to get across. But, do I give out that kind of impression? (lol) There are a lot of the songs that share the “moving forward” theme too.
While we were talking about all kinds of things, we can naturally feel the lyricists can’t we.
Tadokoro 「DEAREST DROP」has a rare feeling to it, but if I were to say, it’d be “The view from the other me” (lol).
Perhaps there was a shadow/hidden theme behind it.
Tadokoro That could be the case (lol).
As you also said this earlier, the word “growth” has started popping up a lot in your recent interviews. Do you feel that you’ve been able to grow?
Tadokoro There are constant ups and downs, but I do think that I am growing one step at a time. But I’m growing at a turtle’s pace (lol). Kind of like taking three steps up then three steps down.
You won’t be able to move forward like that (lol). From an artist’s perspective, you’re able to express your own music more than you have before aren’t you.
Tadokoro I do think that is true. Even in this time’s album, “I want to sing this kind of song” “With this kind of atmosphere” was what I requested and there are some songs that were made because of that. I’m just about to get started on the recordings, so I’m really looking forward to challenge the new approach I have to take.
To be specific, what were the things you said?
Tadokoro I said, “I want to sing an emotional song”. When I saw other artists’ lives, I think to myself, “What can be my weapon?” so I thought that singing filled with emotion could become one of my weapons.
That’s also one part of Tadokorock isn’t it.
Tadokoro If that’s what it becomes then I will be happy. So, I think that I learned a lot from this album in the emotional aspect.
I heard that there are a lot of new songs that are bundled up in this album.
Tadokoro Apart from the songs from singles, the rest are mostly new songs, so please look forward to it.
My goal is to create a live that everyone can enjoy
How was the recording for [Story Teller]?
Tadokoro I was in a bit of a slump during the recording for [Story Teller], so we had to do 3 takes. It was my first time taking so many tries and it gave me a hard time, but the hardship I had to face is the reason why this song is a very memorable song for me.
Then, was there anything that you faced in your challenges that left an impression?
Tadokoro The guitar recording I did for the [Super Star Loser(So What? Mix)].
How was it?
Tadokoro I was super nervous. From there, I learned about how these recordings were made. For a singing recording, it would be one person standing alone in front of the microphone singing, but a guitar recording is played outside while listening to directions from the Director or Arranger with an amplifier inside the booth. But having Yamamoto Yohske-san and the other arrangers with me was very reassuring. On the contrary, I was glad I wasn’t alone (in the booth) playing (lol).
With the new step forward that you are taking, you’re looking for the ‘new you’, so please tell me about what kind of person you would like to become in the future.
Tadokoro When I was watching aiko-san’s live the other day, I thought, “So this is what a good live is like”. A live that anyone can enjoy and the family-like atmosphere in the venue, she has a good personality, her MCs are also entertaining to the point that you can’t take your eyes off her. And I thought that I too would like to become someone who can create a live like that.
Speaking of lives, this time’s album comes with a recording of your live that happened last year in October at LIQUIDROOM. How was it looking back at it?
Tadokoro It was really fun, both days were fiery passionate lives. Also, it was when I started looking at my own music differently, so it was also a live that became a turning point for me.
As you were able to make Tadokorock yours, was there anything else that you firmly grabbed onto from that live?
Tadokoro That’s right. I had the feeling that the road for me to take my first steps paved opened for me. I still have a long way to go, but I think it was a live that paved open a new road for me.
Continuing, there’s another live scheduled to be held at the end of this year. What kind of live do you want to make it into?
Tadokoro As I mentioned previously, a live that anyone can enjoy, a performance that will not let anyone be bored watching is what I want to do.
Of course, we can expect a guitar performance from you right?
Tadokoro I won’t play the guitar! I won’t do it! (lol)
Well, even if you were to say that…….
Tadokoro I say that so that I don’t bring up needless expectations (lol). But I would gladly accept the opportunity if I were asked to play it.
Lastly, please talk about your album once again.
Tadokoro This album is filled with songs that can be assumed as the title songs and listened to over and over again. It is still in production, but please wait and look forward to it. There are songs that has everyone singing too, so it would make me happy if everyone were to listen to the album a lot and come have fun at the live.
Part 2 coming soon!

Entertainment Station Interview (2017-09-25)
Source:https://entertainmentstation.jp/121352
In the short PR time that I had, I was saved by my ‘special skills’
 - First of all, I would like to ask about the trigger that made you want to participate in the “Horipro’s Talent Scout Caravan”
Azusa Tadokoro When I was in my second grade of junior high, I saw [Inuyasha] and thought, “It’s amazing how the voices alone can become the backbone of the characters! What is this occupation!?” It was from there that “I want to be someone like that, that can move people’s hearts through acting” started to become my aspiration and ultimately became the trigger.
    - The subtitle that was attached to the Scout Caravan was “Audition for the next generation’s Seiyuu-Artist”, so your goal from the beginning was to be a voice actress
Tadokoro That’s right. Even then I still really liked singing, it in turn felt perfect. But buying audition magazines and such was a first for me……so you’d end up thinking that this “audition” might just be a scam, wouldn’t you?
    - Hahaha (lol) Just a little bit I guess
Tadokoro However, “Horipro’s Talent Scout Caravan” was a name even I knew, so I thought to myself, “This definitely won’t be a scam,” So I thought that even if the whole thing was rigged, they wouldn’t take and scam me of my money…..(lol) But in reality, to personally prove that it wasn’t rigged definitely surprised me..
    - Then, the moment when you realized “I’m taking an audition”, was it during the selection process?
Tadokoro That’s right. I was getting more and more scared at the time. Of course I had the “I want to be a seiyuu” feeling, but it was also my first time in an audition, so my feelings at that time was to “try and get used to the audition atmosphere”
    - During the audition, was there anything that happened that left a lasting impression on you?
Tadokoro It was after the documentation screening during the second judging, where it was done in a face-to-face manner. Before you go for it, you’d look up, “What should I do in an audition?” wouldn’t you? And it was written “You’ll be given about a minute do your self-PR” on the internet. But at the during the actual audition, I was told “You will be given 30 seconds for your self-PR.” So since I only had 30 seconds, I thought it would be better if I showed off my special skills instead of talking (lol).
(TL Note: PR means appeal time)
   - I see. So what you prepared beforehand became unusable.
Tadokoro But, I liked the seiyuu Akiko Yajima, and I was good at doing a Crayon Shin-chan impression and that saved me… or rather I was glad that “I had it with me.” Even now I still feel that I was really lucky.
    - The final round was held at the Shinagawa Stella Ball. Do you remember the sight from that stage?
Tadokoro I don’t remember a thing! It was really bright, and it didn’t feel real at all. I didn’t expect to get the Grand Prix at all, and when they played the drum roll (before the results announcement), I felt a little lonely thinking, “It’s over……..” So when my name was called to receive the Grand Prix, I thought, “It can’t be, I won!?”
    - In your eyes, what points of yourself do you think helped capture the judges’ eyes?
Tadokoro Well….. After it was done, during an interview I had with Kanari-san (Mr. Kanari was the person who awarded Azusa Tadokoro with the Grand Prix award in the final round of “Horipro’s 36th Talent Scout Caravan”, and is currently Tadokoro’s manager) he said something about “soothing” but…… I don’t really get it myself (lol).
       [Aikatsu!]’s script is my “textbook”
 - Next, following the Grand Prix award and your debut, I would like to ask if there were anything that left a deep impression within you be it from your lessons or something you started working on personally
Tadokoro I didn’t receive any voice acting related work at all, and I was also falling behind other people during lessons. So, I also participated something like a workshop that teaches pronunciation. But I think that my first real voice acting work was the dubbing for [Aikatsu!] (A TV anime that aired on December 2012)
    - I see, so you improved from that job
Tadokoro That’s right. It was a job that I started almost immediately after passing the audition…..I couldn’t really do it well, and that really surprised me (lol). Later on, I found out that the Sound Director had, “Is this her best?” thoughts. From there, that Sound Director personally came to the office and took time to give me personal lessons. I was really learning every single time, and I did it so many times that it was up to the point where I thought, “[Aikatsu!]’s script is my textbook.” All the scripts I have received since my early days are all my treasures.
    - On the other hand, before you debuted as a seiyuu-artist, you did lives in a small live house didn’t you
Tadokoro That’s right. Initially, I would tremble when standing in front of people, and my voice would also be trembling which caused my singing to be all over the place. I first need to do something about this…….was where I started working on in the beginning. So my vocal teacher said, “Stand diagonally (not perpendicular to the stage), put your hand on your chest, don’t move and sing like that” to me because if I had more detailed moves to remember, I wouldn’t be able to sing anymore.
    - So, through the lives, you built the courage within you too?
Tadokoro Yeah I did. Without that, I think it would have taken a little more time. But, as I continued my activities, I got to stand on the same stage with other people who were ‘standing on stage for their first time’ and watching them I would think to myself, “I really couldn’t do that.” (lol). They were so brilliant even when they were just starting out.
- But Tadokoro-san also just recently showed a brilliant performance on the Anisama stage (Animelo Summer Live 2017 that was held at Saitama Super Arena)
Tadokoro That’s true. My senses were kind of paralyzed at the time.
    - You were paralyzed? (lol)
Tadokoro When I stood on the stage solo last year, I of course thought that the it was ‘really wide and big’. However when I was there as a group, I didn’t really feel the size of the venue. But, the scene/view you get to see from the Saitama Super Arena stage or the Nippon Budoukan stage, it isn’t something you would normally be able to see right? And just being able to see that, I am certainly grateful for it.
[Wasureranneyo] Shibata-san’s scratch track is the permanent track
 - So to continue on with Tadokoro-san’s seiyuu-artist activites, you’ll be releasing your new album, ‘So What?’ on the 25th of October. This time, regarding the song “Super Star Loser” which was the coupling song of the “Unmei Dilemma” single, a special “So What? Mix” was made for the album where Tadokoro-san herself played the guitar for the song. How was the recording for the guitar part?
Tadokoro First of all, not being in the recording booth with the microphone but instead an amplifier took my place, I thought that was really amusing (lol). I thought that I would be sitting in front of a microphone and playing the guitar, but it was actually just me, playing the guitar with everyone sitting down around me. I also thought, “My flaws/poor playing would definitely stand out in the recording” but it surprisingly sounded cool once the sound went through the microphone and that made me go “Ooohhh!.” Furthermore, Yohske Yamamoto, who was in charge of the music arrangement was making changes to the arrangement during the actual recording, and putting it even cooler sounds that evolved the song even more, so I would be happy if you are looking forward to listening to it.
        - By the way for this album, if you had to name one song that you would like everyone to listen to carefully, which song would it be?
Tadokoro If it were me, I’d strongly recommend the song “Koro Aruki”. Shibata-san from my beloved band, “Wasureranneyo” kindly offered to write lyrics for one of my songs, and that really touched me……”Things like this really do happen!?” was how surprised I was coupled with happiness, and the feelings are still overflowing to this day. I still do not know how the song arrangement will turn out to be (※In production stage), but when I received the demo version with Shibata-san playing and singing the song, “This, this is already the final product!” was what I thought (lol). The song itself is also really good, so I’d like for everyone to look forward to it.
The story that started with “I will take this audition”, I think it’s interesting
 - Regarding your activities as a seiyuu-artist, do you have any goals to strive for or things you want to do at the moment?
Tadokoro I do have a lot of things I want to do. But I think I would to try my hand at stage performances and musicals.
    - If you were to try them out, what kind of genre would it be?
Tadokoro If I were to be involved in a play that has a lot of conversation in it, I think it will be fun and I will be able to learn a lot from it. I actually did a storytelling live this year, it was filled with conversations, and I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from it. So I want to be able to do more things like that. Furthermore, I belong to Horipro so I’m always shown a lot of musicals, being able to combine your emotions with the song is really wonderful isn’t it? I feel like I’ll learn a lot from it, so I want to try it out too.
         - Then finally, please give some advice to the people who are trying out for the “Next Generation Voice Actor ☆ Miracle Audition”
Tadokoro I was saved by my special skill when I was going through my audition, wouldn’t it be good to bring along something you’re good at with you to the audition? Is what I think. Also, I think that enjoying life normally is a good thing. For example, even if you are hosting a radio, it’ll be more fun to listen to if you talk about topics that you want and like to talk about. And even if you were to fail the audition, the stories of you having the chance to “take this audition” and telling them will be kind of interesting, won’t it? So, no matter what, I think you won’t lose anything from trying it out.
    - I see. It is important to save the food you have to live, but at the same time taking this opportunity could end up producing the food you need, or something like that (This phrase is hard to translate to English and retain it’s original meaning, but it basically means that this audition could possibly become your job and provide you with a stable income, rather than not taking the audition and aiming to be a normal worker somewhere)
Tadokoro Well, I think it’s also fun to challenge and try a lot of different things. By going through the audition, I think you will be able to gain a lot of courage from it too. So ‘taking’ this audition can somewhat help you in your life whether you pass or not. Also, this is really important……this audition is of course, not a scam! (lol)
    - Yes, that’s definitely important (lol)
Tadokoro This is a real, proper audition. So, if you happen to be interested, I think it wouldn’t hurt for you to apply!

Nizista So What? Interview Part 5
Finally we’ve reached the end of the Nizista interview! With this done we’ll look into translating other current interviews or articles.
Phantom composition [I want to rear an otter]
The 14th and last song in the album is [ころあるき (Koro Aruki)]. The title of this song isn’t something you’d expect from the person themself to think up since it’s very jokeful.
Tadokoro That’s what I like about it (lol). I really like 忘れんねよ(Wasurenneyo)-san. To say it’s jokingly serious, in turn it turns into something fancy and gives it a unique impression is what I like about it.
How was it when you first received the song?
Tadokoro It felt so much like me that I got embarrassed. But, it’s a very Wasurenneyo-like song, so it was an amazing song that felt a little nostalgic and tear jerking. When I listened to Shibata-san singing the acoustic version of the song in the demo version after I received it, as a fan it really moved me, making me think “I want to listen to this forever!” (lol). It’s a song fitting as the last song of the album, a song that can reach into people’s hearts. The lyrics are very close to reality, and the title [Koro Aruki] stands out with its uniqueness, it’s amazing!
The lyrics are very Shibata-like, being very straightforward with its meaning isn’t it.
Tadokoro That’s right. I really like the bare feeling from Wasurenneyo-san, so it makes me very happy.
In the other songs, there are certain phrases that Tadokoro-san is aware of, but this one is just interesting as it is.
Tadokoro It’s conversely quite refreshing (lol). In a previous meeting, he listened to my singing and said “I’ll try making this,” was how this song was made. But, at the start when we were talking, we actually decided on the title [かわうそ飼いたい (I want to rear an otter)] (lol).
Otter!?
Tadokoro When he asked me “What is your favourite animal?”, I replied “Cats and otters”, then he said “Then, [I want to rear an otter] could be the title” was how it went. When I thought that I could make a song like that, it turned out to be [Koro Aruki] (lol).
Who knows, there’s a possibility that your next song could be [I want to rear an otter].
Tadokoro With pleasure!! (lol).
If he were to make another song for me, I will be very grateful!
Because you like Wasurenneyo-san is why it managed to turn into reality.
Tadokoro That’s right. A staff member who knew him helped make the offer for me. It was a love call (lol). Wasurenneyo-san is very straight to the point, or rather they show off all their negative sides too, and I like that undecorated look they carry with them. That way of living is in turn, cool. Without putting on a mask, letting out everything, including the dark and dirty feelings, shouting out as you are is a wonderful thing.
Just like that, do you normally let out your feelings as they are?
Tadokoro Not really I think. Maybe with friends I trust, but even then I don’t think they like listening to gloomy stories, so I try to not let it out too often.
There has been more talk about “growth”, I think that there’s a difference between growth as an actress and growth as a person. Is there anything about yourself that you feel has grown physically or mentally?
Tadokoro I think I’ve gotten better at taking in criticism. Or maybe my feelings have just become numb? (lol).
If I were to tweak your words, I’d say your spirit of breaking through/ability to ignore has gotten better.
Tadokoro That’s right. In a way, I’ve become able to freeze my feelings from certain things. Because it’ll be really agonizing if I were to take everything in.
It’s not just an on off kind of thing, but you’ve become able to let out your full power even when you’re on.
Tadokoro That’s what I think.
That’s along the lines what’s in [そう上手くいかないものです。 (Sou Umaku Ikanai Mono Desu.)] isn’t it.
Tadokoro That’s exactly it. Come to think of it, I’ve started crying a lot less too. But that makes me kind of sad. In the past I used to cry at almost anything. . . . . . Maybe it’s because I’ve become an adult?
Sad tears, frustrated tears, happy tears, did you cry out all of them?
Tadokoro I cried all of them. I didn’t know any other way but crying, express everything with “crying” was what I thought, but recently the tears have not been coming. But I still do cry at movies and television shows (lol).
To invoke the thought that “Koroazu’s live is not a miss/failure”
Apart from the new songs, you played the guitar for [スーパースタールーザー(Super Star Loser)] in this time’s recording. How did the recording go?
Tadokoro The way of recording it was completely different from a singing recording and that really surprised me. The experience of only having the amp in the recording booth while I was outside playing was a new thing for me. But, I never thought the day that I would play a guitar, what more have it on a CD would ever come, so it was a very wonderful experience.
Playing the guitar alongside the original guitarist, Yamamoto Yohske-san arranged the piece to make it sound even better.
Tadokoro Yeah. It became a lot more flavorful. In a previous tour, it was my first time (playing the guitar) and it was right as I made my appearance on stage (lol).
The practice must have been hard for it, how was it?
Tadokoro Yamamoto Yohske-san was teaching me how to play the guitar, and during rehearsals I would receive advice from my fellow band members as well.
Hearing the name again, you had an amazing person as a teacher didn’t you.
Tadokoro It was super luxurious. Furthermore, he was super kind and even complimented me. The first time I played the guitar on stage was on [アニメ紅白歌合戦 (Anime Kouhaku Uta Gassen)] where I collaborated with KEYTALK-san. Then, the tour was my first time playing the guitar whilst singing on stage and it was really difficult. At first I couldn’t concentrate on singing at all and was worried if it’ll turn out alright, but with everyone’s cooperation and rehearsing over and over again, the final result managed to turn out fine.
Is there a possibility that we’ll see the guitar again?
Tadokoro Well~, what should I do (lol). I don’t think I can show any more than that, because I’ve shown all that I can do.
If you say it like that, I’ll be expecting you to play the guitar in your upcoming tour
Tadokoro Ahahahah! (Laughing while evading the question)
You have showed another level of growth through this time’s album, which can be heard in the music as well. What do you think you’ll do from now on to show us another plus alpha (Phrase used by Japanese like the meaning ‘level up’)?
Tadokoro Rather than to do something different, I want to sing more songs like this time’s, where a lot of emotions are incorporated into the songs. Of course, I also want to extend and better my singing skills.
You have an upcoming live tour scheduled for the end of the year. What kind of being would you like the “Tadokoro Azusa on stage” to be?
Tadokoro Let me see. . . . . . I want to be a person that can make people think “It’ll definitely be fun”. I’ll be happy if they think “Koroazu’s live is not a miss/failure”.
As expected, the feelings of “I want everyone to be having fun” is strong isn’t it. In the beginning we also talked about how a Tadokorock that “makes people smile” is also good.
Tadokoro No matter they may be, “I want to move their heart” is what I think. I want them to have fun to the fun songs, become sad on the sad songs. But I don’t want it to be a forced thing, so I want everyone to be able to enjoy the albums and lives in the way that they like.
