Oh wait he’s not silly! That’s just a mask hiding the fact he’s a master tactician who controls the universe like it’s a chess board! And will use any move to take down the forces of evil!

Wait a minute he’s not actually a chess master! All his plans are in the verge of failing at any moment! And when they do fail, it’s always his “pawns” that get hurt! He’s just an egomaniac who’s so desperate to feel in control he’s willing to hurt any of his friends!

No no he’s not an egomaniac, but a very sad sad man who’s lost all sense of stability, and is trying to atone for all those who died in his name. He thinks the only way he can do that is to make the universe a safer place, whatever the cost. However, his own guilt has blinded him to the fact that all his schemes are both pushing away those who care for him, and aren’t really helping anyone! Soon he’ll be left defenseless and alone. Deserted by his friends, who have finally lost patience with being treated like pawns.
