Great Star Trek Rewatch - Short Treks S1

Star Trek: Short Treks Season 1 is up next in my Great Star Trek Rewatch. As with ENT and DSC, mini-reviews will document my progress.

Runaway: This is a Tilly-focused story (and Mary Wiseman makes the most of it), but it’s also a great introduction to Po and the Xaheans. Yadira Guevara-Prip is a wonderful addition to the canon. 8/10

Calypso: Craft and Zora’s journey is lyrical and poignant. I won’t say the Short Treks peaked with this one, but it’s hard to top. 10/10

The Brightest Star: Saru’s life on Kelpia is revealed. Beautifully shot with a wonderful surprise at the end, this one is essential viewing to understand Saru. 8/10

The Escape Artist: After three (mostly) serious shorts, this one is just fun with Harry Mudd. Wish we could have seen Mudd once more in DSC, but this will have to suffice. I wish I was sipping jippers on a beach somewhere too. 8/10

And with that, Season 1 of STX comes to an end in my Great Star Trek Rewatch. Final score: 8.5/10. Highest score(s): "Calypso". Lowest score(s): "Runaway," "The Brightest Star," "The Escape Artist"

Hey anon! All I can find is that she's apparently Venezuelan, you can find a picture including her mother HERE who is also an actress but sadly I couldn't find anything about her either. I'll update this ask if anybody knows anything else!
