my school has a therapy dog who comes during lunch block sometimes now ! i met her today she's the sweetest <3 i am going to spend all lunch time with her tmrw tbh i think tomorrow is gonna be a day </3

honestly i love being unhinged u should see me irl. Today one of my teachers nominated me to be a like idk student embassador thing and i told my friend and i was like “why would they pick ME to settle disputes??? id be TERRIBLE at that” and he was just like “yeah you would be.” 💔 he has no faith in me anyways i decided not to fill out the form to become one 😭 (also it just sounded like a lot of effort and talking about feelings neither of which i like)but awwwww thank you <3

theater weekend with extra sun!
I saw Nők az idegösszeomlás szélén, Ének az esőben and Vámpírok bálja this past weekend in Budapest, and it was basically Good, Eehh...are we done soon, oh wait, one more KMM song okay and HOLY SHIT KITSCHY VAMPIRES YASSS :D
That was not a well-choreographed version of Singin’ in the rain, in two important character songs (the lover’s duet and freaking Good Morning) they added in a ton of pointless background dancers. Which made the leads disappear - a shame, since their tapdancing skills were p. much the highlight of the show - and also took impact from the big finishing Broadway number, where you DO want the audience to be dazzled with lots of dancers.
Whomever I had as Don Lockwood was pale and not very charismatic - and yeah, they’d added some utterly baffling super-asshole changes >:| Do not make the romantic male lead more of a bastard than in the fifties, please. Kitty, couldn’t really save her role, KMM was an amazing rubber-ball of energy as usual and I basically lived for his moments, plus.... well... Lina Lamont. She was strong, she was hilariously mean and didn’t appear to dumb, and had some good interactions with other women! I love that about the Opi, the mini-stories that play out in the background, and as opposed to the movie where Lina kind of movies in a sphere of her own + Don Lockwood, she built a real connection with Zelda here (who, btw, had a stunning dress. Gimme). Also, someone somewhere had a single brilliant moment when they cast Peller Anna as her harrassed vocal coach, and they had funny moments too.
But if you watch Singin’ in the Rain and want Lina to win and Cosmo Brown to take off and start his own dance company, then it’s really not a good adaption. Sorry Opi :/
But yeah, also go for the Almodovar-play, it’s really solid. Try to get a performance with Gubik Petra in it. She slayed us all as the best friend of Pepa (Peller Anna), the main character, and she has a h-y-s-t-e-r-i-c-a-l number when she leaves 27 phone messages. The other girl whom I got this time did it well, sang nicely, much competent, but she didn’t have that perfect spark that made the whole aduience roar with laughter.
