I love age difference in shadowgast fics bc like.. first off if's not utilized Neerly to its fullest potential, but most of the time it's just rly funny

Bc consider, all the times ppl could potentially try to baby essek bc he's hurt or whatever and he's painfully aware that if he brings up the age thing he'll sound like a petulant child, and so has no choice but to be babied.

Also consider that generations of ermundruds have just been chillin in blummenthal while this guy was young. Caleb's grandparents grew old and died by the time he got his first government job probably.
