Anonymous Sudan is probably lying through their teeth about their motivations; they are most likely affiliated with Russia and are not associated with Sudan. They are currently communicating in Arabic and Sudanese, but seem to have spoken in Russian before someone wondered why the fuck a seemingly Sudanese group was speaking Russian.

This is not the first time this group has attacked American territory; there were early Microsoft outages in early June. These attack seems to have ceased after appearing intermittently for while and I'm pretty sure Microsoft is currently running okay, although of course they still have more resources than ao3's volunteer staff.

The attack is possibly motivated by political forces, but it seems to be more about U.S-Russian shit than homophobia, considering their range of past targets, not that anything is certain with these fuckheads.

Microsoft was told to pay ransom (like I think ao3 might be being told now) but I couldn't find anything suggesting that they did.

The important thing if you want to find out more is to keep looking shit up and see what overlaps from a lot of different sources, since this is a fluid situation, and to not trust a word AS says about what they want and what they're capable of.

Every “thing” in the Universe is a system. These systems are connected to surrounding systems and made of smaller systems. All these systems are self-organizing and work together as unified wholes. Many of these systems are extremely creative, new structures and creations “emerging” from their interactions.

Our Universe is a creative system, as is Nature. Most systems exhibit certain shared characteristics, such as self-organization, wholeness, balance, connectedness, creativity, cycles (of change and stability) and what the Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh referred to as “inter-being.”

Inter-being refers to how all systems are connected and flow into one another in ecological relationships, sharing energy and elements. A tree for example is made up of water that existed as rain and clouds, sunlight, carbon that came from the air and other elements. Your body is the same, made up of trillions of atoms that are billions of years old and have been moving from place to place on our planet (and before that in the Universe) for a long long time.

Wholeness refers to how self-organizing systems form dynamic wholes, that regenerate their patterns across time and maintain harmonic functioning. Balance is really essential in a system, whether its your body, an ecosystem, a family, a community or solar systems.

Cycles of change are what allow for creativity and evolution, but also what maintain the wholeness and health of systems. The term “regeneration” refers to the processes that allow living systems to heal and sustain themselves across time. Your body, a forest, the ocean, a family, maintain stability by sustaining balance in relationships, regenerating connections and self-organizing wholeness.

Change is also a constant. Every system is constantly changing inwardly or outwardly, either in regenerative “virtuous” cycles of circulation that maintain order and stability, or degenerative “vicious” cycles which can create chaos, eventually leading to the collapse or death of that system. We seem to be living in an age now where many patterns are becoming unstable. Change (whether creative, regenerative or destructive) is imminent.

Sometimes the chaos of a vicious degenerative cycle can be transcended, and a new pattern of relationships is born. When people talk about spiritual growth, or psychological healing, this is often what happens. The “death” of the old pattern allows a new way of living and being to be born. Nature actually requires death in order to regenerate new life.

It’s one of the mysteries of our Universe, that even the total collapse of a system is never the end of it’s story. Most of the atoms in your body, for example, were created in the center of former stars which “died” in super nova explosions. If those stars had not seeded our region of the galaxy with these atoms, we would not be here.

Understanding how systems grow, change, evolve and transform like this is sometimes called “systems thinking” or “ecological consciousness.” I think it’s what many culture’s down through history have called “wisdom.” It’s an understanding all of us in this each deeply need.

"Bradley My earliest memory of my mum is of her blasting Stevie Wonder and Jamiroquai in the car as she dropped me to school. She has a huge passion for music and I got my love for it from her. When I was nine we went on a family holiday to Florida and watched School of Rock on the plane. I loved it and Mum suggested I learn to play guitar when we got home, so that’s where it started for me. I used to be quite good at mimicking accents, so I fell into singing.

I originally posted videos to YouTube just for fun. I was terrible when I was younger for booking gigs where you had to sell a certain number of tickets before you got paid. I used to get the tickets in the post and then get the fear of God and decide I didn’t want to do it. Then Mum would say, “You’ve got the tickets and you’ve told the promoter you’re going to do it, so you’ve got to do it.” I needed that slight kick up the arse from her.

Mum has always been incredibly supportive of my music. She never put up any roadblocks even though it meant me leaving home when I was only 16 when the band got signed. I’m a proper home bird and so moving out that young was hard but all the parents of the boys in the band became great friends and they come to all our shows. I think the biggest highlight for Mum so far was when we played Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at Wembley in 2016 and Martin Kemp was sitting in front of us. She loved Spandau Ballet back in the day, so that was a big moment for her.

At the heart of everything, I believe you get sustained happiness through having real relationships with your family and friends. That has helped me to navigate this life and hopefully to not put the highlight on the wrong things. Success in the music industry can be quite fleeting, so I know I’m very fortunate to have such a close family to come home to. Mum still cuts my barnet too.

I used to really struggle with the media attention, even if it was positive, and my mum’s always been the person that I speak to about those things. I’ve never felt like there was anything I couldn’t talk to her about.

Mum is an incredibly strong, multifaceted woman and I’m so lucky to have grown up with her as a role model. She had always dreamt of opening her own bar and so when it became possible for us to do that as a family business she made it happen [Simpsons Gin Bar opened in Sutton Coldfield in 2016]. She inspires me to be as driven as her but to never stop caring about the people around me.

Mum brings kindness into every aspect of her life. I think it’s great that she’s on social media too. She has strong beliefs and is vocal about things, which I think is really important. If you believe in something, you should stand up for it, so she tends to post positive messages but also photos of the dog. Mum is my biggest cheerleader. She loves coming to the shows and singing along. And she always has the latest Vamps music on in the car — she’s literally the reason we’ve got decent streaming numbers.

Anne-Marie My husband, Derek, and I were setting up a new life in the Midlands when Brad was born. Derek was a golf professional and we moved because he secured a new position at the Belfry resort in Sutton Coldfield. I had a miscarriage before I got pregnant with Brad, so he was really wished for. All babies are amazing in their own way but it was so delightful when this beautiful angelic-looking baby arrived in our lives as if on a cloud. There were no marks on him and he was just this perfect little thing. One of the nurses said he had a golden aura and that’s exactly what he’s still like now.

Brad started having guitar lessons when he was eight and he used to sit in front of the TV watching Angus Young in AC/DC videos, learning to play the tunes. By the time he turned 13 he was playing gigs with a band from school. When the lead singer left, Brad said he’d sing and we were quite surprised — he’d never been an outright showman, but this gorgeous voice came out.

At school he never really got into trouble but he was a bit of a joker. His teachers said he had fantastic ability but he didn’t apply himself because he was thinking about music all the time, so I thought we’d let him try to make a go of it. He began writing songs and putting them online. Then when James [McVey, his Vamps bandmate] saw his YouTube videos it all took off. Not long after we found ourselves sitting in the [LA artist management company] Prestige offices in London with Richard Rashman, who worked with bands like McFly and Busted, and I realised the band could be something real. Little did we know how big it would become [the Vamps have had four Top Ten albums and their songs have been streamed more than four billion times].

We were bereft when he left home at 16 but there was no way we were going to rain on his parade. It has been so exciting watching his dreams come true.
