incredibly so. usamericans are super fucking weird about physical contact, assign romantic intention to EVERYTHING not kept strictly professional, and overall just assign romantic intent to a TON of things that would never be read as romantic in like 99% of the rest of the world.
it's really fucking sad. you constantly see usamericans posting about how touched starved they are and how badly they want to emotionally connect and basically just crying that they don't have any friends because their version of friendship is just so sad and devoid of like... normal Social Species Behaviour like physical contact and any other form of intimacy. intimacy is like, inherently romantic to usamericans.
it really sucks! i want to hold and snuggle and adore my friends. i want to be emotional with them, i want them to cry on me, i want to know all their feelings and traumas, i want to stargaze with them and sleep with them and take care of them when they need someone. when i was a teenager this was no problem but as people grow up and get steeped in the culture they vanish in the ways i need them.
no one is as neurotic about intimacy as usamericans. i hate it here!

on the post about evil clones where you talked about kingdom hearts in the tags, what character/game were you referring to? genuine question. i binged the series a few years ago but after a while of not actively interacting with the series my memories of the different characters' plotlines have started to blur together a bit so i cant quite pull who it would be lmao
i was talking about roxas. the whole elevator pitch for roxas is "what if we introduced the main character's Dark Shadow Self, and represent him as a sensitive young boy who is lost, confused, and grappling with his own identity? What if we explored what it meant to simply be someone's shadow, and the ever-present longing to just be your own?"
all the while roxas is being assaulted on all sides by people who just want him to be sora, or disappear so sora can exist again. roxas is constantly, at every turn, reminded of the life he could have lived if only he was born under different circumstances.
roxas has everything he loves taken from him simply because he is not sora. for a very long time, that's where his story ended--in complete and total tragedy, where there was no hope of a happy ending.
the game in question is 358/2 Days, which is Roxas's Very Own Game and follows him from birth to near-death. it is a game about the fleeting, doomed joy of the Dark Shadow Clone and how for just one year, he is allowed to make friends and sneak off from his cult duties to eat ice cream and goof around with those friends. every moment of this joy is punctuated with a clock counting down. and at the time of it releasing, KH2 had already come out, so we all knew where roxas's story would end.
every day since i first met him i think about this boy. i think i would burn the world to cinders in his name.

The von Karma Guide to Whipping Your Brother Into Shape by mundanecactus - might be my fave non-girlfriend ace attorney fic of all time. masquerades as a wrightworth but is actually a franmaya. informed countless headcanons of mine and accidentally awakened kin memories i did not know i had. there is a scene while miles and franziska go grocery shopping and act so annoyingly siblings the whole time i had to start biting my pillow. please read this

so I need you to know that I kept seeing your video on franziska in my youtube recs and eventually gave in to the youtube peer pressure and watched it, despite having *never* played any of the ace attorney games (read: has a family full of lawyers and cannot play the games without going insane over the wack shit going on in them).
anyway I immediately played the games and have gotten attached to franziska thank u for giving me another fictional woman to project onto. on the same note, how dare you, I am now going even more insane over things my friends do not care to hear about.

As a German, I agree to the point in your video, making the von Karmas German is one of the biggest brain moves the localization of AA ever possibly could pull. Also Franziska is such a common name here, it just adds to the hilarity. Poor little Franzi, I just know she is screening the supermarkets in Japanifornia for a good (or even adequate) loaf of bread.
I DIDN'T ELABORATE MUCH BUT IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY LMAO. it was such a good choice. the obsessive punctuality. the "uncomfortable" bluntness. franziska telling a distracted judge "look it up later. we're working now." the way they are consistently described as staring down their opponents or 'glaring' fhfdghfgf. i could go on.
i think we as a fandom need to use some of the more common shortenings of franziska. i see ziska and franzi (usually spelled the more americanized franzy) but we're sleeping on zissi. and fränzle.
also this is so hilarious but would you believe i wrote exactly what you described in this ask a year and a fucking half ago?

i generally cannot stand the way the ace attorney fandom does "found family" and slots everyone in nuclear family dynamics / insinuates that shipping things like narumayo is somehow on par with shipping incest. THAT SAID i do think phoenix would break any fucking law for maya and pearl. i think phoenix would quite literally do anything for either of them. his devotion knows absolutely no bounds and this has always been the case. whether one views him as family to them or not, he would fucking upend the very earth below his feet for them, and that is all that matters to me when examining their relationship.
i think the more likely thing is the prosecutor sibs own multiple jets and i think if we looked at timestamps we could prove this one false. that said, it's so fucking funny that i don't care.
borzois are bougie ass dogs. i've always seen pess as some kind of collie but i do like the borzoi headcanon.
i only know trilogy ema so i am going in with half the information but i fully 100% believe that channelling is a STEM in the AA world. also, like, there's tons of legal precedent in the AA world for channeling to be A Thing, so while there ARE skeptics, i don't think ema would be one. i think even if lana was in tune to misty's whole thing, one word about That Sham Verdict From DL6 would get Mia to be like (: actually (: ghost perjury i think (: and lana would come to trust mia more than The System.

i 100% believe this is canon. maya says that mia was incredibly spiritually powerful and mia herself states that she's literally able to hold audience with the dead (without losing consciousness, presumably?) i am of the belief that in ace attorney, spiritual power is tied to strong emotion, and i think Mia's resolve to finish what she started and keep her loved ones safe means she can pierce the veil in small increments without needing a vessel. we know this is all corporeal because other characters react to her ghost.
franziska uses stronger insults in canon constantly. she is incredibly eloquent, even when not speaking in her first language. we can definitely assume that fool is just her favourite word, probably because it is so versatile and easy to play with! also i think she's autistic and vocal stimming.
