Eddie was excited, he had invited Barb to watch a movie with him, at Rick’s place of course as that was where Eddie was crashing when he didn’t want to be in the trailer, too many memories and like hell was he going to take her there and be constantly worrying that he would lose her, his guilt for not saving Chrissy still evidently there. He had set up a nest of pillows on the couch, lots of snacks and drinks ready for the pair to enjoy. He had let her pick out a movie, unsure if she would enjoy his horror movies, he was willing to watch anything as long as she was watching it with him.

But when she seemed to hesitate as he nestled himself into the corner of the nest and gestured for her to sit over his legs, he frowned, did she just say she’s too heavy? “Who told you that?” His tone showed it was a genuine question, he seemed baffled and confused that she would think such a thing.

Eddie could have sworn he was dreaming in that moment, he could feel his heart in his throat as Barb not only kissed him, but it was so...passionate. It took a few moments for the surprise to subside enough that he was able to return the kiss, and return it he did, with just as much passion, feeling their tongues colliding as he pressed her back against the wall so he could feel her body firmly against his own. He didn’t want this to end.
