美屬維京群島 USVI

聽說維京群島這裡是潛水聖地，所以郵輪停靠美屬這邊其中的聖克魯斯島(St Croix)時，我選擇了參加郵輪下船的一個潛水行程。

Regret maybe?

Because I regret that we allow American culture to negatively shape us to what we've now become. There were a lot of Caribbean traditions that reigned while I was growing up.

Unfortunately it's not just "American Culture" but "Black American Culture" that has influenced the stupidity that unfortunately goes on in society today. We were so focused on black people and black entertainment that we saw that as Bible to live by. Be black, do black, support black. Support black rappers. Support black entertainers no matter what they do because they're black too. That's why we won't argue when they tell us to pick up a gun and shoot whoever don't agree with you. Taking the negative path has always been the easier route to go down and black entertainment used that to its advantage. Promote the "easy" path. Give everyone the illusion that this is the easy way to get riches out of your rags.

Growing up all the older people spoke about when they got into fights one day and the next day the person they fought with were they friend. If you fight someone today, you have to worry about them trying to come back for you. Make sure you get them good enough where they can't come back for you because American Culture taught them to not yield until you get the last say.

I honestly wish I had the time to explain in whole what all has changed because of American influence, but that would take me forever. I may have to write a book if that is the case. The things we see on TV and the music we hear has unfortunately taken such a large influence on us that it's changed a whole generation. Because of the internet the world is such a smaller place so it is much easier to influence a young and growing mind to believe what you want it to believe. I pray to stay alive long enough to see what this next generation would have in store with us.

US Protesters Loot Goods inside a container

The Death of George Floyd in the United States of America has Caused Heat upon heat in many States in the country. It gradually Started with Peaceful Protest to Violent Movement in the Streets of America.

Initially, It Started up in Destroying Police Vehicles and a Police Station. The Protest turned heavy as thousands of Protesters started another phase, as they Loot Shop by Shop especially well-known shops in the region.

On 31 May, Nike Sports shop was looted in Chicago during the evening Hours of the Day. 

Yesterday, The Protesters turned in looting a Container having goods inside.

The Video that Surfaced online on June 2 Shows hundreds of Americans looting Six Heavy containers at once.

Have you ever spoken up when you saw something going on that was wrong? Were you scared? What ended up happening? -300 Writing Prompts-

In St. Croix this is hard to do.

Speaking up when you see something wrong is either considered "bitching," "snitching," or it is completely ignored. Reactions like these are part of the reason the children in the Virgin Islands, nay, the world is growing up to be over privileged brats. Until we could accept that pointing out things that are wrong isn't taboo we as a community are never going to continue forward.

In school when you complain about the wrong that is being done everyone gets on your case. Doesn't matter who the complaint is about. The mentality of the community is just so messed up that we choose "loyalty" over doing the right thing. Not to say that loyalty is bad and that we should rat for everything, but we should learn when to draw the line.

For example.

One day I was in Golden Rock minding my own business inside Domino's Pizza watching out the window at the traffic. A business vehicle drove OUT the ENTRANCE that was clearly marked enter and drove over three lane to get in an east bound lane. I took it upon myself to call the business and report the vehicle, not because it drove out the entrance (that would have been considered bitching to my standards), but because his illegal drivin g almost caused an accident. I had to watch someone slam brakes so they wouldn't hit into the business vehicle.

Unfortunately nothing became of the situation because the same vehicle leave out the entrance about 7 out of 10 times. And since Hurricane Maria the entrance sign has been down so there isn't anything I could legally say about the matter so I keep my mouth shut about it.

To conclude this post I'd like to quote Dr. Donald Mallard from the TV show NCIS, "The ethical man knows it is wrong to cheat on his wife, whereas the moral man wouldn't." This is just saying that an ethical person, to which I classify most Virgin Islanders, knows that something is wrong and may/would still do it, Whereas moral people knows that something is wrong but they wouldn't do it just because everyone is doing it. We need to raise more moral people in this world.
