“I’m not sorry, I had to do it! We both know that” She screamed, tears soaking her face. The only guilt she had felt in what she had done was lying to him in that moment. It was the only time she had and it was necessary.

He made a sound of disagreement, almost scoffing at her as he turned his back to her. He stared out at the ocean to prepare himself for what had to come next.

It was usually easier then this but not with her. It was never easy with her.

“She is my usisi omncinci! I would not-“

Namor had closed the distance and had her neck within his large hand before she could finish whatever insulting thing she was about utter to him.

She gasped at the action. Her hands flying to his writ instantly. Her chest heaved while air tried to find its way into her lungs. He hadn’t completely blocked her air way but it was damn close.

Though he towered over her, he pulled her close enough that his breathe teased her open mouth with the oxygen she was struggling for.

Save me from yourself her love sick mind foolishly begged him.

“You should have trusted me when I said I would not hurt the young princess” He accused. His voice stern and empty as he was starting to feel. “Trusted me when I said I loved you”.

His heart had twisted at her insinuation and earlier manipulation but it truly broke at the sight before him. She looked broken in all the ways a women could be, she looked as if she would accept her end now and he felt the same. Maybe they were only meant to break each other.

People need to remember there is more than 1 type of love and for Namor that song was for the love of a mother and son.

yes yes yes babes! Like don’t get me wrong I love it as a general love song BUT it just makes it so much more special that it’s from his mother, especially with the story line and what his enemies name him as a child, it’s just ugh it’s so good! He wasn’t a child without love, let alone a man without love and I think that song represents that beautifully especially from the first person to show him what love was.

and for it to play while he’s sharing something that has never been shared with someone he hopes he can trust BECAUSE of the unique position their both in, it makes total sense to me. This is how Namor feels for his ppl also.
