It's all well and good for the twitter people to say that they are going to attempt to make musk lose money like the tumblr/yahoo situation, but the fundamental issue there is that to be able to do such a thing, it would require the people that tweet to stop tweeting. This is a problem because twitter people LOVE to tweet

please warn people in your blog header or on a pinned post that you're antishipper/against proshippers
This is a unique request bc isn't that a given thing that most people dont support it? Like how many proshippers are out there on Tumblr that you have to make it a header/pinned post?
it's written before that I don't really draw age gaps/strange shippings, but is putting that stuff on the front of my acc supposed to ward off ppl like that? (Gen question)
Like I dont support racism, homophobia, or any of that bc most of my posts contain gay/cultural things, but id hate for ppl to assume i like that?? I haven't been on Tumblr often to really see that many users other than to post and move on. (I just skip weird requests I get) so I'm not COMPLETELY sure how to manage the interface (if that makes sense?)
Imma just do it anyways to be safe. I'd hate for any proshippers or weirdos to see my shit and start being weird so hopefully it'll make them go away (if I have any)
Tumblr media
I want this to be a safe space, so if there's anything else yall want me to put on my acc let me know! (Or just how to help my Tumblr acc look nice/more cool!)

Found this Wikipedia page called "List of most-streamed artists on Spotify". Going to use the "Most Monthly Listeners" section to block artists on Spotify for Blockout2024.
Will probably use the list to block all the artists' Instagram pages as well.

God insta is so annoying in terms of feedback probably because my followers only love it when I draw Hadestown and don't interact with other fandom things/original art I draw much which I get it, it's is ok! That's always the outcome of when you draw one fandom: you become a source of content for this one thing and it's in bigger priority than your drawing ability. So WHAT you draw wins HOW you draw it.
But it's a bit upsetting when you know your okey-ish 30-min ht sketches get 80-100+ likes and then you post 6-7+ h thing that you're super proud of and think that it'll at least cover the same minimum because it looks very good in terms of quality and vibes. And it gets 40 likes 😶
Understandable, but also ????

being on the big three social media platforms is just seeing people on each platform rant about how every other platform is bad and toxic, actually, unlike THIS platform, which is good and has absolutely no drawbacks (or those drawbacks are NOWHERE near as bad as the drawbacks of those OTHER social media platforms), and it's like, hm... maybe ALL social media just in general has its good parts and it's bad parts and we all need to get off our high horses about it?

one of the coolest parts about magazines were the specials they would make for certain occasions like nme every Christmas would get a set of artists and they'd pick another artist to dress up as which was so cool and everyone just had a good time and they'd create something somewhat memorable that fans would also love
#then again the most popular acts used to be also the most interesting#which now is simply not the case like who would want to see harry styels as David Bowie or Taylor swift as Madonna . no one#in a way the death of music journalism is inherent with the death of good popular music#which is not to say All popular music nowadays sucks bc there are obviously exceptions#but the thing is it used to be the other way around most of the popular music was good but there were a few bad exceptions#and now it'd be rare if u found something Good in the top 40#which also says a lot of how the music industry has changed#and now it's just so much harder to make it as a good musician bc most ppl are simply interested in simple and basic tiktok music#a lot of ppl say social media and the internet makes it easier for musicians but that's clearly not true#music journalists used to go straight to the source of music pubs bars small avenues and would give everyone a chance#and now to have people talking about you u must either have connections money or go viral on tiktok#and it takes so much more for a good band to make it than it previously used to#and now that I'm working in a label i see it more clearly like there are just so many good artists trying to make it#and it's so sad how in order to do so you rely completely on social media and online platforms#and idk . as always u can blame it on capitalism as labels and the industry in general are just out to get money not bc they actually care#which has led to the death of music journalism and the rise of mediocre musicians
