Now that I've had the chance to play the Dragon Age DLC's, I think I'm realizing I quite like Sebastian.

At worst I think he was just wasted potential. I wish there were more moments where we could see him be badass. I think if he was recruited as a companion in Act 1 we may have had more time to bond with him.

Of course I intend to spare Anders in the end so I know this will cause him to turn against me but I do think he's actually just a character with wasted potential and he isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

Something that I think ppl who ship both sukka and zutara don't acknowledge enough is the fact that poor Hakoda met both his kids' future spouses on the same day, in the same place and that place just happened to be prison.

It’s just… it is everything that Cardan thought Jude would notice his “SO OBVIOUS” exile riddle and thinks Jude to not hesitate to come back. Beside his certainty of her cleverness to piece the riddle together, he believed he was that clear about his feelings toward her; he had thought she absolutely ought to know how he feels for her.

Like oh buddy. BUDDY. Your wife had thought of the answer to your little riddle like you thought she would. But guess what? She has detrimental TRUST ISSUES. (Like… Ur super mean and hot, I can’t blame her.) Anyway.. it’s SUPER adorable of him to so wholeheartedly believe she wouldn’t question his trust. It reveals so much about his pov of thier relationship.

Jude thought Cardan’s (silly) trick was a (vile) trick, when it was simply a: “Im trying to impress/pay you back in kind with our romantic metaphorical sparring and eventually get you out of political drama for a bit,” trick.

I've touched on it in fic but I keep reeling over how no one cares about Aaravos like even Claudia and Viren wouldn't be rushing to spring him from death sentence jail if there wasn't a ticking clock above Viren's head rn and everyone else Aaravos ever knew is presumably dead by now or someone who helped seal him away like

when he first met Viren it was Aaravos who was truly the desperate one, trapped forever with only one window out into the world, one chance, and he couldn't blow it

Aaravos took one look at Viren and clocked dark mage, relic staff, play the same game as always

that speaks to Aaravos's cunning and fortitude of course but

never could Aaravos ask anyone for help himself. never could be show vulnerability, never could he show "weakness", never could he be sincere, never could he trust that even the slightest kindness existed in anyone he's spoken to after centuries of complete isolation, he has to twist arms because he can't hold anyone's hand

that's sad

deserved or not for whatever he did, he has nothing but anger left
