Nude Hiking in a National Park - Know Before You Go!
Nude Hiking in a National Park – Know Before You Go!
Nude Hiking in a National Park – Coronado National Forest National Parks may have secluded areas where nude hiking is totally possible – even frequently occurring. Of course, one must be cautious not to offend visitors that do not appreciate nudity or who might even dial 9-1-1 to report your activity. But if you chose areas where nude hiking typically occurs, the hikers you encounter will…

Tanque Verde Falls
A few months ago I hiked Tanque Verde Falls in Tucson with my brother, roommate, and a few new friends. It's quite a hike, and I would definitely recommend it if you're ever in the area.
I couldn't get over the strange beauty of the hill alongside the creek's bed, a combination of wild grasses, boulders, and cacti:

I don't know man, I just kept staring at it throughout the hike, glimpsing back while we hiked out of the canyon. Definitely an "it" moment.
Here's a few pics of the creek and more cacti:

I would add pics of this sick cave we found along the trail, but they all have either me or my roommate in frame and internet strangers don't get the privilege of our faces online

Hit the pass...
Hit the pass…
So I went out and did a little hike down to Tanque Verde Falls or “Chiva falls” by us locals. It is a popular spot to hang out and enjoy the water. It can be less crowded than in Sabino Canyon and not under much scrutiny from park rangers. While it is in Coronado Forest lands, a lot of the area is under BLM jurisdiction. Mostly because of the cattle ranchers that have been in the area since…

04/05/19 - Tanque Verde Falls, AZ - WE WERE EXPECTING GREAT THINGS - When we saw this warning sign, we were expecting to see great things at the end of our hike down through the cactus to the river gorge below. I guess our clue should have been that we didn’t hear the sound of a waterfall: maybe that’s because we were doing the hike to the upper falls instead of the lower falls or maybe it’s the wrong time of year for a serious water flow. Who knows? What we did find down in the gorge were some nice sandy beaches and cascading pools of clear water. It all looked like it might be a nice place to cool off in a beautiful natural setting when the hot temperatures set in a month from now.
