The Gangs all here! From left to right we got Levraut, Colette, Tangy (lower) Ishi’li (upper), Mochiie, Tuesday, and Chuusday. This was a little mind melting to work out with so many actors, and wanting to capture a bit of everyone’s general energy in so doing even if some of these guys never actually interact XD

Lev has like -6 rizz but on purpose, he thinks flirting with women is A Manly Thing To Do and getting to second or even first base isn’t even the goal. Colette isn’t giving a singular fuck and claiming space, and also making sure Tangy isn’t flashing everybody her shorts. Tangy is delighted to be here with all her friends, Ishi is thriving, her skin is clear, crops watered, etc. peace sign! Mochi is feelin a lil overwhelmed but trying to look nice for the camera, Tuesday is vibing and mentally planning dinner while trying to look nice for the camera no matter what else is going on, and Chuu is pondering the immortality cycle of the crab.

what are each of your characters' favorite minion(s) and why? 👀

Bet you weren’t expecting SCREENSHOTS!!!! BAM…!! (I was trying to get into cozy town so these are speed-shots LOL it was a fun pseudo challenge gettin em all done in under an hour)

Chuu’s favorite Minion is the Toy Alexander: a moving mini replica of the time traveling Machine-God? and it’s kinda hot? It’s one of the few machines she didn’t build herself but only because Cid and the Ironworks rushed to do it before she could, fearing the features she’d put into a tiny war machina-Primal. It’s like an action figure to her. It’s set a hilarious precedent though, and she’s still waiting for her Miniature G-Warrior. Chop chop Garlond!

Tuesday’s favorite minion is Gigi, after he has a long talk with Keathan and he retires the Haurchefant Mammet for a spell, worrying for the negative impact it was having on his mental state. He finds a lot of kinship with Gigi, though, being black mage machines. …… he’s a little worried about what misadventures the Inspector is going to get up to next time, though. And that scrawny elezen and his dog, who seemed to conveniently be away whenever the Elezen Inspector Briardien came around….

Nobody knows where that little baby Buffalo came from. Nobody stopped Tangy from scooping it up under her arm like a little purse dog and taking it with her when they moved to the Rising Stones, either. It’s just a little guy! She couldn’t leave it there all alone. What if something like a Pelican tried to eat it… also, it’s cute, and round, and the Rising Stones could use a Mascot anyways.

Ishi’s favorite minion- that isn’t one of his increasing clowder of kitten adoptee’s- is the Odder Otter! He ADORES silly little mascot like creatures, so he jumped at the chance to have a little pal of his own to come on adventures. It even has its own little lantern! He might just cry thinking about it. When he finds out about the Abroader Otter he’s going to become inconsolable. Lmao.

The OOC origin behind Colette’s baby bat is when her and Setsuna first set off on their journey together in Ul’Dah, a stranger came and pressed Bats into their possession. It was baffling, and funny. The IC origin is fuzzier, only that Setsuna and Colette have had them since they first started adventuring and they’re probably attuned to each other in some way. Either way, here’s Colette and aptly named ‘Bat’.

Mochiie refuses to let anything bad happen to little Ryunosuke. Which is why he makes sure the jacket is on snug and fully when it’s raining, so the chick doesn’t run risk of catching cold while they’re traveling together. He has the problem Ishi has with adopting cats, but with Chocobo chicks. He’s pretty sure Ryunosuke is some kinda Hingan Pygmy breed, meant for Nobles to keep in their estates and on display, prized for their docile, lap-loving nature and silky plumage. He doesn’t get on very well with Cindy, or Sandy, but that’s not a huge surprise; the girls are strong personalities, spoiled with attention, and bigger, older birds from a breed meant for Combat, not pets. Mindy tolerates Ryunosuke but only because she knows he would fit perfectly in her mouth if she so chose to, and Mochi would be extremely upset in her if she did.

Levraut’s favorite minion is. Naturally. Canonball :’3 the scrappy little wolf pup saved from the brink of starvation and then fed up, spoiled with plenty of attention and poor manners. He’s stolen a fair number of unsuspecting sandwiches… Lev is going to have to teach him the thieves code one of these days or they’re both going to get in trouble lol.

■ - Tangy makes her long-term stay wherever the Scions have settled- the Waking Sands, the Rising Stones, unfortunately missed out on most of The Falling Snow.. while she’s still a much smaller Miqo’te staying in the Waking Sands she insists she doesn’t need much space to sleep, and just has a bunk with a leather bag hanging off one of the posts. Granted, that bunk is piled with blankets and pillows, and she doesn’t even sleep under them; it’s all just lumpy padding for curling up on top of and snoring. (After meeting with Chuu and finding out 1) there was a way to avoid getting arrested after the Banquet fiasco and 2) she could totally be stronger. Totally. And subsequently getting… let’s call it Off-Brand-Fantasia’d, she needs a bit more space.. she stops snoring most of the time, though. Having more snout apparently makes it easier to not snore!) She doesn’t ever keep an apartment of her own, but she does sometimes trek from Revenant’s Toll to Vesper Bay to check in on the old haunt, since Urianger seems keen to Never Leave. lmao.

This gets real long so here’s a cut for the sake of the dashboards lol (good lort there’s images down there…)

✿ - She’s Asexual! In that she doesn’t feel sexual attraction towards people, but she does enjoy the act? It’s a good way to relieve stress and it’s fun exercise and it’s a nice way to bond with others.

She does, however, struggle with the ‘Oops’ part of Chuu’s ‘Fantasia’ which was giving her a body with a dick :T There’s a learning curve. (Among other curves. Wink? Sorry dndndndnfke) Also, not necessarily sex, but she probably kisses her friends. Because she cares about them! Cheek kisses, lip kisses, forehead and top of head kisses… hand kisses… Kisses :)

Yda and Tangy pose is [Glomp Tackle] with fresh expressions but the rest are all custom done ;w; oh also shader is Neneko’s Love… I think.. 🫢 it’s all the same one 🤦 I just forgot to write it down

∇- I genuinely think Tangy gets a handle on Accounting by hanging out with Tataru so much over the years. It keeps Tataru’s mind off worrying about everybody as much while they’re away on business, and Tangy gets to wrinkle her brain (this takes. Such a long time though. She’s still not reliable for it, either, but she’s passable :3) .. for a proper aging headcanon tho I think as she gets older she becomes an anchor point for the Scions like Tataru is. Sets up shop and trains young adventurers in combat and cooking and camping. Her whiskers twitch when thunderstorms are brewing. She still sometimes needs nudging from her own students on things, but it’s usually in things relating to Reading. I feel like she has pretty bad dyslexia and maybe even dyscalculia that she’s just learned to deal with.

♒- LOVES food. Loves to eat. Loves to help with cooking. Measuring ingredients for recipes is actually pretty easy since it’s not demanded exactness, it’s just “half of this cup, level this cup, just enough to cover the bottom of this pan,” like, not exact. You feel cooking with your heart. And kneading bread is an excellent and fun work out to her. Can not bake.. Kinda wishes she could. She’s just not precise enough, and she gets the order in which things have to be done mixed up, so she ends up with some pretty…. Not exactly inedible but…. 🫢 It’s not appetizing looking.. and it doesn’t taste great… She’s not a picky eater, but she hesitates to eat snails. It just makes her a little sad, cos they’re cute to her. And then she eats them anyways =w=; the chef worked hard to make this delicious meal and she’s gonna eat it! (And not eating the snails would waste their life so. Honor their sacrifice and eat them.) Her favorite food is whatever she can eat with her hands/whatever’s in front of her at the time, and any of F’lahminn’s cooking. Even if it’s burnt.

Okokokok. Normal. Definitely not crawling out of my skin I’d been doing so good thing time not letting the cameras wig me out and all so a LAWNMOWER gets to freak me out ??? Jfc.

Privacy! So, Tangy time.

I feel like she came from a decently sized family, five or more (including Mother, but perhaps not a father?) but she got separated from them at a young age, which is part of why her education level is, not great. Can read, can write, struggles with focusing on complicated conversation and tends to wanna jump right to the part where the plan is to Hit Something (not allowed on Espionage missions)

Family may or may not be Missing/Deceased, I’m real up in the air on that because I don’t have a strong argument for either direction 🫢

On the one hand, it could be part of her strong dislike for Garlemald (if, when she was kitto, Garlean Soldiers came and wrecked havoc on her family unit for the crime of Being In Their Path (and Savages) and either she’s the sole survivor or the adults were taken but the kittos were hidden somewhere, 🤔) on the other, she coulda just left home to seek her own way, and everybodies fine, and then, perhaps when the calamity occurs (yk 5 years prior to the start of ARR from what i recall off the top of my head, I’m not looking shit up rn I’m spit balling) the awakening of the echo did some shit to her memory, like.

OK WAIT HEAR ME OUT Y’ALL, Tangy’s Ma being one of the 1.0 WoL’s so when the Calamity happens and everybody forgets what they look like/who they are Tangy loses a huge chunk of that memory cos trying to remember her ma is like tryin’ to remember the WoL so it’s all Fuzzy and vague, but that was a pretty big part of her life so it was kinda lil bit like havin to Square One In some respects. 🫢 is this makin sense? I know I’m kinda playin Calvin ball with some of the lore and explanations for stuff from 1.0 but that’s sorta what I Do

But it would explain her limited friendships outside of the Scions (who, I think Thancred picked her up like someone picks up a stray cat with mange after picking up on the fact that she has the echo, possiiiiibly after an Ifrit encounter, cos I’m not sure how they’d clock you for the echo if you don’t have? The fainting spell headaches?

🤦 and then Tangy meets Chuu because Chuu knows Keathan who also knows Cid and Cid helps y’all out during the Garuda Mess and Tangy also gets sent a couple times to help get Keathan back on track with their crippling memory problems pre-the crystals of light (which then presently get just as bad as they were when they’re taken away again), it’s enough for Tangy to meet with Chuu while Chuu is in the vulnerable testing phases of her Bootleg Fantasia to try to fly more under the radar (a Fanchusia if you will. Bless you. 🤧)

So this is Chuusday (Not a WoL + has an echo related to mechanics, would love a vacation), Tuesday (Not a WoL; her clone she built with Allagan tech research, main jobs are Cleaning, Cooking, and Learning New Experiences that she hasn’t before, echo anbiguous), Tangy Tangeroos (not a WoL, no echo) was a female Miqo’te until this dumbass drank the potion Chuusday handed her while she was experimenting with Aether. Is now a big buff girl dad. Colette (the hyur, not a WoL, no echo) seen holding her tiny not-yet girlfriend Setsuna. Blackmage, later sacrifices an eye for materia to gain more power to keep up with Setsuna (an actual WoL, has Echo), aaand Lololayu aka Lolo (not a WoL, violence incarnate. Small white mage full of the desire to Murder. Failed body clone of Emet-Selch, kept in check by the Scions and his childish crush on Tataru Taru. Either 7 or 77, unclear. Echo also unclear.)
