Oooh could you draw Yoshi or Takashi again? They're so cute~~
This has been in my inbox for nearly three years. I don’t know why I never got around to it. But I think today is the day. I’ve been thinking about my ocs lately and..honestly i don’t draw them anymore. I realized I really miss it. I’m really not sure what happened in those last three years and why I neglected my own ocs.
But I decided on Takashi. I used to draw him so much and honestly he brightened the place up. He was a smily, positive contrast to my grouchy persona.
And with the worldwide epidemic, positivity is something we need. So wash your hands with soap peeps and stay safe!

I haven’t drawn Takashi without his hero outfit ever since new year.
About time!
Since he’s Japanese, I think a kimono would be fitting.
There’ll be more of him in casual clothes soon too because bab needs some time off.

Takashi x Yoshi: The Vanishing town
I finally finished writing the “short” story with Takashi and Yoshi;;; ended up way longer than planned when I finally got into it.
Summary: Takashi visits Kyoto and explores the forests. During his walk. he gets tired and naps, ending up lost in the forest. As he explores, he bumps into an abandoned town where he meets a rather unusual friend.
Word count: 4 620
Tropes: telekinesis, ghosts, possession
-----
It was a foggy and cold afternoon. Takashi left Tokyo to travel once more. This time his destination became Kyoto so he could enjoy the nature. After exploring the famous bamboo forest he made his way towards tadasu no mori. The trees were thick and the forest was dark but the light shined briefly through the branches, filling the place with pillars of light. Takashi smiled to himself as he sat down beside a stream, listening to the water trickle over the stones. It was a nice contrast to the constantly noisy and busy Tokyo.
Birds sat in the trees, sharing their songs and from time to time deer treaded over the forest floor cautiously, digging at the moist dirt with their hooves.
The serenity of it all was just what he needed. Tipping the hat over his eyes, he rested against a tree and dozed off.
After he had woken up, it was unfortunately really late. The forest was pitch black and all paths seemed to vanish in the dark.
"uh oh..looks like I slept too long" he sighed to himself and stood up, stretching and brushing moss off his clothes. He took a look around, trying to find some kind of path but he had trouble seeing anything in the darkness. Taking his phone out, he used it as a flashlight.
"I better find some road soon. The battery's not going to last very long..." he glanced at the battery meter. It was still at 80% but the flashlight will drain it within hours.
"It's so dark...I don't like it..." he shuddered and rubbed his arms. Takashi wasn't a big fan of the dark and the forest looked much bigger when nothing showed you the way. That's where he caught a glimpse of some structure up ahead.  Overjoyed to finally see some kind of light source he followed the path lined with lanterns. His eyes widened when a torii gate appeared in front of him.
"A temple...?" he whispered to himself "I haven't seen that here yesterday" he took a quick look behind himself before continuing. The shrine emerged from the dark. The wide stone stairs laid in front of the bright red shrine. Lanterns were lit everywhere, but the shrine itself looked very old and torn down. Maybe someone still takes care of it? After paying his respects he continued exploring.
As it turned out, the place held more buildings. There was a bath house and several run down houses.
"Strange...I don't remember any villages in this forest...and this looks incredibly old..." he sighed and headed towards one of the houses. It was a big mansion with clan flags hanging at the entrance. Hesistant, he still decided to knock. However receiving no answer. Several attempts after, he decided to give the door a push and oddly enough, they opened easily but with a very loud creak. He instantly felt cold air from the inside that made his hair stand up at the ends.
The first step inside made it obvious that the mansion was abandoned. The fire pit was out and covered in cobwebs, the tatami mats were torn apart. There were porcelain pieces all over the place.
"What happened to this place...?" Takashi coughed as he inhaled the dust in the room by accident. He decided to go inside and explore. As he followed the narrow hallways with torn down walls, he could take a peek into each room. Everything was beautifully decorated with tapestries and filled with expensive furniture that despite being broken, still held its charm. He flinched as something caught the corner of his eye.
Luckily it was just a painting in a shrine. It was of a young, black haired boy with dark eyes. There was something familiar about his clothes. Oh right. Takashi remembered now, he's seen them in historical films. He hummed and took out matches from his pocket, lighting the dead candles on the shrine to pay respects to the deceased. With how creepy this place was, he didn't want to risk upsetting any spirits, if there were any around. Not that he'd know.
"Sigh it's still really late. I shouldn't wander off into the forest...I'll stay here for the night" that being said, his exploration continued. After gathering some wood, he lit up the fire pit. Finally letting himself relax when the place wasn't so dark and scary anymore. The fire crackled in the pit as the drafts howled through the mansion.
The silence got quickly broken when Takashis stomach started growling. That's where he remembered he never had dinner.
"Oh well...time to go look around. Hopefully there's something I can have in here...though chances are slim" he whined when he  lit up a small lantern to help himself get through towards the kitchen.
He checked the clay pots and the cupboards, luckily finding supplies of rice, salt, sake and honey. Grabbing the ingredients, he headed back to the fire pit and tossed the rice in a pot, while sipping on some sake as it cooked. Porridge wasn't his favorite dish, but he had to work with whatever he had, afteral he had no soul to just kill something that wandered around the forest.
He took off his shoes, mask and hat, getting comfy by the fire.
One he ate up, now sufficiently drunk as well, it was more than enough to send him drifting off to sleep.
He didn't sleep for long as he felt cold air blowing over his ears. He whined and shrugged to cover them up, brushing his hair out of the way as well. When the feeling continued, he sat up, noticing that the fire was out.
"No wonder it's windy..." he yawned and stretched. Everything was pitch black once again, the darkness was sending a shiver down his spine. Hurriedly he attempted to light the fire again and as he reached towards the coals, he felt a jab to his sides. Yelping loudly, he dropped the matches and pinned his arms to his sides. Quickly turning around only to see nothing there.
"I must be really tired.." he groaned, struggling to pick up the matches "I think I drank too much too" he sighed and finally got the fire started again. That's where he felt fingers scribbling over his sides once more.
"H-hehehehey! W-Who's there?!" he launched from his spot, swaying as he tried to look around. There was nothing there again. He started getting paranoid now...but the shock on his face was quickly wiped off as the feeling returned.
He was sure he felt hands assaulting his waist right now. He tried to grab where he felt the touch, but nothing was happening.
Takashi just stood there, squirming and laughing until he fell back on his butt.
"W-who's there??? C-cut it ohohhout! It t-tickles!" Takashi laughed out as he curled up into a ball on the floor.
To all odds, he received an answer....
"I'm sure it does! You're having fun, aren't you?" the voice cooed "I'm afraid I can't do that!"
Takashi's face went pale. It was the voice of a young man, sounding very friendly and upbeat.
"Who said that??" his eyes darted all over the place. The fingers were now on his stomach, trailing circles. Whatever it was, it was either in front of him, or behind him...he felt a breeze right over his ear.
"My name's Yoshi~ Thanks for lighting the candles"
Takashi gulped. The candles...? Does that mean..."
He felt a knot in his throat "that...t-this place is h-haunted" he got goosebumps as he muttered out the last word. He was terrified, but through all the giggling, it was hard to notice, aside from his scared eyes.
Yoshi stopped tickling him for a moment and hummed.
"You could say so! You see, I live here!" he announced proudly "but this place is a mess now..."
That was already enough for Takashi, he got up from his spot and got ready to dash out of the place.
Yoshis eyes widened and he quickly slammed every door and window in the manshion shut.
"HEY!" he shouted, grabbing Takashi by the shoulders and pulling him back "it's rude to just leave like this!" he sounded rather upset.
Takashi closed his eyes tightly and covered his face, whimpering "please don't hurt me"
Yoshi sighed and pulled him back to the fire pit
"I'm not going to hurt you, but running off like this is really rude you know...you're a guest" he explained, twirling Takashis hat in his hands.
Takashi hugged around his knees, watching the hat hover in the air. He was shivering and his eyes were glossy.
"Nonono! Don't cry! Please! I didn't mean to scare you..!" Yoshi pleaded "L-look..if I show myself to you, do you think you'll be less scared...?"
Takashi wiped his eyes. He didn't cry from fear, but his eyes watered up from laughing earlier, but the shivering did come from the scare he received just moments ago.
"Sigh..it'd be appreciated..." he replied
Yoshi hesitated for a bit, before finally showing up.
He was significantly shorter than Takashi, wearing dark blue clothes. It was a torn up kimono with baggy pants and white tabi socks. Though he didn't wear any shoes. His hair reached down to his chin and was split part-ways, ending into a high sitting ponytail.  His eyes were white and pupil-less. Honestly giving Takashi the shivers.
Yoshi cleared his throat and gave a small bow
"Yamada Yoshi at your service" he averted his eyes "....you're scared, aren't you?"
Takashi snapped out
"O-oh no, no. I'm sorry..." he took a breath and bowed his head "My name's Takashi"
Yoshi gave a smile and hovered over the empty bottle of sake, smirking.
"I see you helped yourself to the sake, you little thief..."
Takashis face grew red
"I'm really sorry, I thought no one lived here" he hung his head down, Yoshi instantly laughed.
"I'm not mad at you. It's alright! I couldn't drink it even if I tried.Passes right through me!" he continued to laugh "so what are you doing here? I haven't had visitors in decades!"
"Um...I like to travel around. You see, I live in Tokyo and it's really crowded. I thought visiting Kyoto will be a nice change from that. The forest here is very peaceful...but...I didn't see any villages here....what is this place?"
Yoshis smile quickly disappeared when the village got brought up
"So you're from Tokyo? I haven't seen it in decades. Did it change a lot?" he was clearly avoiding the question.
Takashi noticed how uneasy Yoshi got and played along. He decided not to pry further with the questions, since it sounds like whatever happened in this place, wasn't good and something Yoshi wished to recall.
He just smiled and nodded
"I'm not sure when you were around, but most likely yes! Here, I'll show you on my phone!" he said, taking it out of his pocket
"Phone...?" Yoshi muttered to himself, curiously leaning over Takashis shoulder. His eyes widened when the phone lit up, showing pictures. "How did you get paintings to show up so fast...?"
Takashi chuckled "I guess you were gone longer than I thought...This" he pointed at the phone "is called a mobile phone. It helps you talk to people when they're very far away, but it can do other things too. And those, are called photos. We take them with cameras, phones have them too. See?" he explained patiently, snapping a photo of himself and Yoshi, yet only he showed up. "Oh...I'm sorry..I guess ghosts won't show on pictures"
Yoshi looked very confused, but curious and amused.
"That was so fast! And you didn't even need to pay a painter to do it! Haha that's wonderful!" he laughed "don't worry, I don't really show up in mirrors either. People can only see me if I wish to show myself" he didn't seem phased, the invention of the phone kept him too entertained to think of the fact that he wasn't alive. "and because you were nice to me and lit my shrine, I thought it was okay. Besides, I'm having fun!" he stuck his tongue out, blowing at the back of Takashis neck.
Takashi let out a squeal and scrunched his shoulders up, resulting in Yoshi laughing again.
"Hahaha I barely did anything! You're so sensitive, it's so funny!"
Takashis face went all red again and he tucked his hat over his face.
"Well it's not like I can help it" he mumbled.
"True! But you can...hmmmm...try holding back?" he smirked and pinned Takashi down on his back.
"Wait what? Ah!" he yelped, squirming under the ghosts grip, but without luck. Both his arms and legs were sucessfully pinned.
"Now let's see what you have there in your pocket, hmm?"
Takashis face went pale "It's n-nothing!" he blurted out.
"Looks like a feather to me!" Yoshi grinned, hovering the feather in the air "now what to do with it?"
Takashi gulped, biting his lip. He was pinned and all he could do was try to talk Yoshi out of it. It didn't seem like it'd work by the looks of it. He might've bumped into someone his own level...
"Hah! I know!" Yoshi clapped his hands in excitement "let's get those off you!"
Takashi shook his head when he felt tugs to his socks, trying to hold them in place with his toes
"N-no no no! Anything but that! Yoshi please!" he cried out.
"Whyyyy? Too sensitive??" Yoshi cooed, giving the feather a try and brushing it over Takashis soles, getting a strong jerk in response along with a yelp. If he was still alive, his face would've been getting red at this point, he was glad he wasn't the one pinned right now.
"Y-yes, so please don't!"
"Hmmmm....juuuuust a little bit. You have more of them too!" he stuck his tongue out, pulling the remaining 3 feathers out of Takashis hat. He unbuttoned his shirt and pulled it to the sides, Takashi was already flinching.
He didn't strike yet, but instead watched Takashi for a brief moment. He had only 4 feathers, that's just 4 spots covered. Yoshi decided it wasn't enough and floated several paintbrushes from the wrecked table over to Takashi.
"That's better! Now....3....2....1...! Kocho kocho kocho!" he teased. He looked like a kid on a playground, pretty much giving Takashi a taste of his own medicine. One of the feathers trailed over Takashi's ear, another two got his feet, one circled his belly.  The brushes landed on his sides, knees and neck, while Yoshi personally decided to assault his armpits. The icy cold ghost hands made it unbearable.
Takashi threw his head back and started laughing hysterically. Having all of his spots attacked in one moment was driving him crazy. His voice was cracking and he shook his head, starting to snort soon after.
"y-YOHOOHHOSHI PLEAHAHAHASE! N-not thehehehere! T-too much!"
Yoshi cocked his head, playing dumb "Have to be more specific than that!"
At this point, Takashi couldn't even talk anymore. He was a sobbing, laughing mess as he struggled in the ghosts grasp. The brushes and feathers twirled around as Yoshi hovered over him, giggling. When Takashi started wheezing and gasping for air, that's when Yoshi finally decided it was enough. The tools dropped to the floor and the ghost papped his cheeks.
"Hey. You're alright down there? Did you pass out?"
Takashi huffed, shivering all over and giggling softly as the aftermatch of the heavy tickle assault still lingered. He leaned his head back and clutched his sides, trying to recover.
Yoshi pouted and leaned back, putting his hands behind his head
"Fiiiiine take your time"
And so he did. It took a little longer, but Takashi finally caught his breath and sat up, wiping the tears off his face and collecting his feathers. He tucked them back into his hat and put his socks back on. After looking up, he noticed Yoshi wasn't paying attention. That's where an idea sparked in his head...silly, but what if...?
Takashi reached out, giving Yoshis foot a small poke. His finger phased through but Yoshi definitely felt it as he instantly curled his legs up under himself and stared Takashi down.
"Oh? What's the matter? Ticklish?" Takashi teased.
Yoshi pouted "N-no?"
"Is that so? Then I suppose you won't mind if I do...this!" he reached out with both hands, both phasing through Yoshis sides.
Yoshi yelped and let out a laugh, covering his mouth right after.
"Not ticklish, huh?" Takashi stuck his tongue out and wiggled his fingers around.
"H-hehehehey! That's unfair!" Yoshi laughed, grabbing Takashis arms, it became obvious very fast, that he could not grab his wrists when they were passing through him.
"So it's fair when you just had me pinned, but not fair that you can get away whenever you want to?" Takashi pouted "unless you like it?" he smirked.
Yoshi's aura instantly started to feel warmer.
"Not true! I don't!" Yoshi curled up when Takashis fingers travelled over his torso.
"Then why won't you stop me?" Takashi continued while his fingers wiggled over his armpits.
"B-because i cahahahahan't!" Yoshi rolled over on his side, now curled up in a ball and hovering beside Takashi. He grabbed onto Takashis shoulders, trying to push him, but it resulted in nothing.
"You can't? How come?" he cocked a brow, briefly stopping the tickling to let Yoshi speak, but pulling the feather out of his chest pocked meanwhile.
Yoshi hugged around his knees, panting.
"I-i can't pass through myself. If you put your hands in me, i c-can't grab them"
"Is that so?" Takashi smirked "let's see how this works then! Kocho kocho kocho~" he cooed, carefully trailing the feather over Yoshi's exposed shoulder.
Yoshi squealed and covered up, but due to his ghostly nature, it didn't help.
"N-no, no stop! I give ihihihhin!" Yoshi cried, squirming in the fits of laughter.
Takashi kept smiling, he knew Yoshi could float away at any time he wanted, he wasn't holding him down in any way, he couldn't do it either way. But then the feather got suddenly yanked out of his hand, now floating in Yoshi's ribcage. Takashi looked pretty puzzled, while Yoshi let out a loud gasp.
"O-oh no. No-" he giggled, covering his mouth and squirming, trying to shake the feather out, but all it did, was make it change location. Soon enough Yoshi sat perfectly still, trying to hold back laughter from the feather that was tickling him on its own now.
Takashi chuckled
"what's the matter Yoshi? You can't take it out?" he covered his mouth, trying not to laugh. The whole situation was pretty amusing to him, but he was still glad he couldn't experience it on his own skin.
"T-take it o-out" Yoshi stuttered and giggled
"Why should I?" Takashi wiggled his fingers at the helpless ghost.
Yoshi's eyes widened "Y-you wouldn't..."
"oh yes I would!" Takashi laughed and dug his fingers under the ghosts arms, while stuffing the rest of the feathers in his torso.
Yoshi got a taste of his own nasty pranks now. He was trashing around in the air, screaming with laughter, while glowing tears soaked his face. Takashi looked rather surprised, he didn't know ghosts could cry in the first place, but the glowing tears were rather mesmerizing in the way they flickered and vanished as they fell, as if they were bonfire sparks.
"S-stop! Stop! Please! I've had enough!" Yoshi pleaded.
Takashi laughed
"Alright, I think that's enough payback" he said, pulling all the feathers back out "you're holding up alright?"
Yoshi took a deep breath, now sprawled out in the air, catching his breath. Although he didn't need to breathe, it was still a reflex from when he was alive. He floated there, giggling softly and wiping his face before averting his eyes.
"What's wrong?" Takashi asked, now looking concerned
"Nothing" Yoshi replied, resting his hands on his chest as he rested "I just...had fun" his cheeks grew a deeper blue.
Takashi smiled warmly
"I'm glad..you know...I could visit this place more often. Since I don't think you get many visitors"
Yohis eyes widened
"You'd really do that for me?"
Takashi nodded.
Yoshi was overjoyed and threw himself in Takashis arms, hugging him tightly. He was warm and the tears were still shining in his blank eyes as he rested his head on Takashis shoulder.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Takashi patted his back gently, but then Yoshi lifted his head again
"But...I think I have to tell you something first..." his smile vanished "this village...sigh...."
"Yes...?" Takashi leaned back, letting Yoshi sit in his laps.
"...after I died...the village was attacked...everyone had to leave the place...the village was then burned down to the ground...it...disappears when the sun rises again...and so do i..." he wiped his eyes.
Takashi looked upset
"I'm really sorry to hear that...so that means you'll be gone when the sun comes back up...?"
Yoshi nodded. Clutching onto Takashis shirt.
"...I don't want to be alone again, Takashi" he whimpered "it's been so many years"
Takashi pet his back again
"Hey...there's still some time before sunrise...we'll find a way. There has to be something. Chin up, alright....?" although he had no idea how to keep the spirit from disappearing, he was still willing to give it a try.
Takashi leaned his head back, looking at the ceiling. So something bad really did happen...this poor guy could do nothing to stop it, so now he's stuck to the village that vanishes when the sun rises. Obviously, he couldn't stop the sun from rising, so he had to find another way. That's where he remembered something from a tv program he had seen once.
"If you're bound to the village..." he hummed "then we'll have to separate you from it....but how...?"
Yoshi took a deep breath
"There IS one way...but I don't expect you to trust me...."
Takashi looked confident
"I'll do whatever it takes. I want to help you. You deserve to be free, Yoshi" he smiled and clenched his hand into a fist.
Yoshi smiled again, but then the smile faded once more. He rubbed his arms
"I'd...have to inhabit your body...while the sun rises again..." he looked down "I...possessed people before to pull pranks...I thought of doing it to escape, but the risk..."
"Risk...?" Takashi repeated
"If...If i stay joined with someone for too long...I might end up permanently possessing them. I will not be able to separate"
Takashi furrowed his brow and rubbed his face.
Yoshi hung his head "I understand...I wouldn't expect you to-"
"I'll do it" Takashi cut in "I told you, I'll do whatever it takes to free you. I'm not a hero for nothing" he smiled and reached his hand out "So what do you say?"
Yoshis eyes glistened with the ghostly tears again as he squeezed Takashis hand and bowed his head in gratitude.
"I'll forever be in your debt, Takashi-san!"
"Oh stop crying. Anyone would've done that, really. Hurry up, the sun's going to rise in an hour or so"
Yoshi nodded
"Okay..." he took a breath "it...might feel uncomfortable"
Takashi stood up and took a breath as well, rolling his shoulders to relax himself.
"But it's not going to hurt...right?"
Yoshi smiled
"No, I would've told you if it would" he took his hand and closed his eyes "3....2....1...."
A few seconds later, Takashi could feel something was different. It was a feeling he could not explain. As if someone steered his movements
"...Are you in there, Yoshi?" he asked
"Yes...thank you, Takashi"
Takashi smiled, although found it quite unnerving to hear Yoshis voice from his own lips. He could feel his heart racing and he felt goosebumps on his skin, he knew this wasn't his own reaction, but Yoshis.
"Excited to have a body again?"
"It's...been a while" Yoshi smiled and looked at Takashis hands, his cheeks grew rosy, resulting in Takashi laughing.
"So...we still have a lot of time left...hmmm..." Takashi hummed and sat down on the floor, that's where he started to wonder... "Hmm..."
"What is it, Takashi?" Yoshi asked
"You know...people say you can't tickle yourself..but...how does it work if..."
Yoshi flinched
"T-then obviously it work work! Y-you'll just be tickling yourself!"
Takashi smirked, but he felt his body go between panicked to amused. He carefully dragged his fingers over his neck and as expected, it didn't exactly work on HIM but Yoshi on the other hand, made Takashis body jolt suddenly.
"I might be tickling myself, but you're the one feeling it" Takashi chuckled and rolled his shirt up
"N-no don't you dare!" Yoshi yelped, desperately trying to make Takashi hold still. To an outsider, it'd look like a man talking to himself while his hands spazzed frantically. The anticipation alone make Yoshi laugh. This continued for a while, until the first rays of sun shined through the broken windows.
"Yoshi" Takashi looked up "the sun's rising..." he whispered. He felt knots in his stomach and his arms hugging around him. Yoshi was clearly really nervous and scared right now "Shhh...it's going to be alright...just please, trust me" Takashi tried to comfort him, but his voice was shaking from how terrified Yoshi was. Takashi hugged around his knees, waiting. A bright light filled the entire mansion as the furniture and the walls began vanishing in the light. After just 15 minutes, it was all over. Takashi was sitting atop of a stone slab, with nothing but the forest surrounding him. He heard the birds chirping as he looked up.
"Yoshi...? Are you still there...?" he asked, but got no answer "..Yoshi...?" he asked again, worried that their plan has failed.
"...We did it" Yoshi finally replied, his voice was choking up, causing tears to roll down Takashis face "We did it!"
Yoshi laughed and separated himself from Takashi. Takashi stumbled around, dizzy from the amount of things happening all at once for the past hour, he wiped his teary face dry with a napkin and smiled at Yoshi.
"You're free now, Yoshi Yamada. Your curse has been broken"
Yoshi once more threw his arms around Takashi
"You're my hero! I'll never forget you, Takashi!" he cried
"That's what heroes do, Yoshi. I'm glad I could help you. You've been suffering long enough already" he sighed and smiled "I should be on my way. Now that it's bright again, I can see the path to the town. It was a pleasure to meet you"
Yoshi bowed at him "Thank you so much Takashi. If you'll ever visit the forest again, please stop by the village. I'll know when you'll be here. We have a special bond now"
"Hey, I promised I'd come see you, didn't I? Oh...and..here's something to remember me by" Takashi pulled one of the feathers out of his hat, handing it over to Yoshi. He chuckled when the ghosts cheeks grew blue again "don't get it stuck inside you~" y
Yoshi shoved him gently, but took the feather, tying it to the ribbon in his ponytail.
"Goodbye Takashi! Thank you!" he waved as Takashi made his way back to the town.
It was the beginning of a new, unusual friendship that neither of them expected. It was proof that a little kindness can go a long way.

I’m cleaning up some drawings from my folders.
This was the color concept for Takashi.
Pink was a randomly generated palette in pink.
Blue was based on a peacock feather palette.
Eventually I stuck with pink.
